The long-awaited reality show Bigg Boss is slated to hit television screens soon. But what's with the participants of the desi version of Big Brother? With C-grade actors, item girls and screen villains past their prime being roped in, the list reads like a who's who from Losers' Inc.

The show, which begins on November 3, will have 13 contestants participating from across the television and film industry. The participants will be required to share the roof for 84 days. A channel source informs, "Bigg Boss wanted to rope in people who have had a relationship in the past. This explains why Mika and Rakhi Sawant are part of the show. We even wanted to rope in Ashmit Patel and Riya Sen for the same reason."

Talking about the show, the source says, "It can be frustrating to have the camera trained on you 24/7. Only bathrooms will not have cameras. I am sure that lots of good and bad things will emerge from Bigg Boss. The channel is leaving no stones unturned as far as the show goes. On the first day, the contestants will make an entry in helicopters and Rolls Royces.


Rakhi Sawant: Is she a celeb?

Mika: He's a so-called-celeb kisser. Yet, the dynamics between Mika and Rakhi should make for an interesting watch

Ravi Kishen: It sounds incredible but the Bhojpuri superstar is probably is the biggest name on the show. Phew!

Aditya Panscholi: His temper tantrums are legendary. And with a certain PYT not around to calm him down, Panscholi may be difficult to control

Raza Murad: Quite active in the '80s, around in the '90s, he is the senior citizen of the group

Kashmira Shah: That's 84 days' worth of work her.

Rupali Ganguly: The comic bahu of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai is on board too. Is this off-season time for the show?

Shakti Kapoor: Ah, here comes a role

Nagma: If everyone else is getting a chance, then why shouldn't she go for it too?

Boss, what's going on?

Big Brother is UK's biggest reality TV show. It has been later adapted in various countries including Australia and South Africa. Bigg Boss, the Indian version of the show will have 13 celebrities coming together and living in the Bigg Boss house, built in a studio at Karjat. These celebrities will be monitored by 30 cameras, for 100 days. They will be completely cut off from the world, with no TV, newspaper, mobile phones or outside contact. It's essentially a competition between the housemates. One housemate will be eliminated (on basis of votes and performance of household chores assigned to them) and will leave every week. The last one standing will be declared the winner.
Actor Arshad Warsi will play the sutradhar (anchor) for the show. Bigg Boss (a fictitious character) who sees and knows everything will communicate his thoughts, wishes and commands through Arshad Warsi. The sutradhar will be the medium between the viewers and the Bigg Boss.

Will they make it?
Meanwhile we’ve heard that talks are on with Aman Verma, Manoj Prabhakar and Mohd. Azharuddin. And that would complete the list...

There is an incredible interest among viewers to watch and know what famous celebs do, when stripped of their make-up and watched by cameras 24X7. Come November 3 and Sony promises to put Indian television into a new era of entertainment. The launch of ‘Bigg Boss’ brings you the unique combination of reality and real unscripted drama as 13 celebrities vie with each other to survive in the Bigg Boss house.

Disclosing the format of the show, NP Singh, COO of SET India Pvt Ltd., says, “Bigg Boss is omnipresent, watching these 13 hand picked celebrities and nothing escapes his watchful eyes. These celebs will live under one roof for 3 whole months, under very stringent house rules and no access to the outside world.”

Sandiip Sikcand, chief creative director, Sony Entertainment Television, says, “The celebs are a healthy mix from different fields-TV, films, music, models, politicians, amongst others.”

And he refutes the rumour that the celebs are all part of the Sony bandwagon. “Our choice in picking the star is solely decided based on the interest value of that celeb.
They will all come together for the first time on November 3 and are in going to be for a surprise when they finally confront each other. The show will be deferred live by just a few hours. The lone survivor will get 50 lakhs as prize money.”

Why ‘Bigg Boss’ instead of the original ‘Big Brother’, and Sandiip says,” It had to be a term that Indians identify with and masses connect with.”

Making clear that it is not an adult show and is being censored suitably for family viewing, Sandiip says, “Content will be edited and we will bring a full packed show every day. It is always better to show less and expect more.”

On picking Arshad as the sutradhar, Sandiip says, “He is a great entertainer and will present the show in his full element. His connect with the common man is his greatest USP. Other celeb guests walking in to meet the chosen group inside the house are spikes that will be added as the show goes on.”

Integral to the original format is its voyeurism and bitchiness. Will they tone it down for Indian audiences? “Bigg Boss will not be intentionally bitchy but will put them in a situation which is not hunky dory and watch the real character of the celeb reveal itself. Half the soaps will shut down if bitchiness did not work!” quips Sandiip.

Albert Almeida, executive VP, business head of SET, says, “We will be using this content in other mediums like mobisodes, wallpapers, etc.” He adds, “ Just being a celeb is not sufficient, we are looking at different personality types who come with their individual baggage which makes the scope for drama all the more possible.”

Can a show that has a highly voyeuristic core with a lot of negative machinations at play work in the Indian context? Most certainly, asserts Sony chief creative director Sandiip Sikcand. The reality show will have all the elements and more that make saas-bahu weepies such a rage in India, avers Sikcand, giving his reasoning on why he expects the concept to replicate the success it has enjoyed in territories like the UK.

Bigg Boss launches Friday, 3 November, with the unveiling of the 13 celebrity participants. It will have a 12-week run, with telecast running from Monday through to Friday.

On Fridays, Bigg Boss will run the elimination episode, where as the Monday to Thursday episodes will be packed with the regular drama and reality content. Significantly, Sony has opted for the 10 pm slot (Monday to Thursday) at a time when an interesting fight is going on between Star Plus and Zee TV in that time band. Bigg Boss will be confronting Star Plus' Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, which airs from Monday to Thursday and Zee TV's newly launched show Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann.

The Friday episodes are slotted for 9 pm. On Friday, Bigg Boss will be attacking Star Plus' Baa, Baho and Baby and Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs'.


Bigg Boss, the real life soap will have 13 celebrities confined inside a specially designed house where every single point in the house is within view of a video camera. The housemates will be watched by 28 cameras.

They will not be permitted any contact with the outside world: no TV, radio, telephone, internet, not even writing materials. The public is invited to vote to evict one of the contestants. The last remaining is the winner who bags Rs 500000/-. The 'Bigg Boss', an omnipresent voice will be watching all the moves of the housemates. And the popular 'Circuit' of Munnabhai MBBS - Arshad Warsi - will be anchoring the show.



The repeat telecast will be aired in the afternoons. Bigg Boss is regarded as Sony's next big offering after Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi and Indian Idol. Set India COO NP Singh believes that Bigg Boss, the format show that has successfully attracted millions of viewers over multiple seasons in some of the countries will change television viewing in India too.

The channel is also planning a multiple season run for Bigg Boss. This time, they have roped in celebrities primarily because curiosity and obsession about the stars have exploded in the country, explains Sikcand.

The channel has already started marketing this property through a 360 degree campaign. This would be the first time that the channel will be creating mobisodes for the format show. The users can access 30-second to 90-second clips, but Singh refused to divulge as to which telecom operator, the channel had inked a deal with.

Internet will be yet another medium through which the channel will exhibit its property. A mircosite will be created, through which the streaming of the show will be offered and the mobile episodes will also be accessed, informs Singh.

It remains to be seen if Bigg Boss brings in the big audiences that will help propel Sony back into the ratings reckoning.

Post Remix, Karan Wahi seems to have disappeared from the television industry. The actor was all set to make his return with Sony’s much-discussed reality show Bigg Boss. According to the grapevine, Karan was one of the first few to sign the contract for the show.

However, the actor won’t be a part of the project anymore since he was down with typhoid.

The actor who’s still at his residence in Delhi spoke about his disappointment on losing out on Bigg Boss. “When I was offered the show, I was quite excited about the idea.

I had seen the international episodes and was quite impressed with the
format. However, a typhoid attack for the last few weeks made it impossible for me to take up the project.”

Sweating it out

Karan has been at home for over a month and during this period the actor reveals he has put on a lot of weight. “I hadn’t been at home for such a long stretch. The deadly combination of the yummy food at home and the
chilled-out climate has made me plumper. These days, I am busy jogging, running and trying to lose the extra kilos.”

He also discloses that soon we might see him in a new look. “I think my look is changing. I actually feel the physical transformation in
my body. The boyish look is giving way to a man. Of course, I have to work doubly hard to lose weight and get in shape.”

Post Remix, the actor has been flooded with offers but is waiting for the right project.

“I was offered something with Balaji but then it didn’t work out. I think my boyish image works against me at times, especially when it comes to films.”

Now that he has recovered from his illness, Karan intends to start focussing on work. “I would love to step into Bollywood. But I am also open to anything interesting on television as well.” Interestingly, he still gets calls and messages from the Remix fans asking him if the show would ever be back. “There are these websites where people have continued the story of Remix in fictionalised episodes. I think that’s really sweet.”

Is he still in touch with his other co-stars from the show? “Yes I am. In fact, before coming to Delhi, I celebrated Raj’s birthday at my new house in Mumbai. Shweta is doing some shows but I am not really aware about what Priya is up to.”

Apart from watching films in his spare time, Karan is busy going through
Shah Rukh Khan’s recently released biography. “I worship Shah Rukh. He’s the ultimate actor in the industry and I was always interested in reading about him. I loved the book as it offered some really personal and private information on him.”

Wahi is all set to return back to Mumbai in a few days. “I can’t wait to get back to work. Though I hope I lose weight, so all my friends can recognise me when I am back.”

While Deepshikkha, looking resplendent in her new crop and super-toned figure (“a result of all that walking I did in Bangkok while shooting for a film recently”, she quipped), Sonia sounded excited about her upcoming tour to London to perform at Himesh Reshammiya’s show!

...and that’s just one of the rules our tellyzens have broken. Here, they tell BT about their escapades

Rules are made to be broken, as many brazen folks believe. Whether unknowingly, for pure kicks or out of majboori, everyone has at one time or the other done what they are not supposed to. While some are lucky to go scot free, others have paid for it. Our ‘tellyzens’ are no exception. They have knowingly or unknowingly jumped on the wrong side of the fence and got caught for trespassing!
Like Aamir Ali, Saumya of Sahara One’s Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, says, “I have broken rules all the time in school and got punished also. The longest punishment was when I had to sit in the middle of the ground for five periods, while there were other students playing football all around me,” he laughs. So what was the crime? “I kept a pencil with its point upward when a student was just sitting on the bench,” he says with a guffaw. Though the victim did forgive Aamir the same day, the dude got punished for it. “Poor guy had a bruised butt because of me,” he chuckles.
Shweta Gulati may have broken umpteen rules in her show Remix (Star One) and real life it wasn’t an exception either. “I lied to my parents once that I was going to a friend’s place to study. I reached there and told her parents that I wasn’t feeling well, so going home. And I went to meet my boyfriend, who got a frantic message on his pager that my dad called my friend’s dad to check. I returned to my friend’s place and called my dad and said that I was just taking a stroll out,” she reminisces, “The following day I got such a pasting! But I have broken the family rule of not partying all night or staying out all night a lot of times.” Tassnim Sheikh breaks one rule everyday to keep the other one. “I don’t like being late for shoots,” she explains, “So I break the traffic signal when I’m late. When a constable catches me, I give an explanation. My driver tells me what’s the point in wasting 10 minutes arguing with the constable when you can wait at the signal for two minutes, but I somehow don’t relent,” she laughs. Other than that in school Tassnim has broken rules like eating in classroom and ringing the recess bell even before the time was up, for which she was taken to the principal.
Chetan Hansraj too has a story to tell. “When I was 19, I had a bike that I rode without licence for over five years! I used to get caught but I always managed to get free by giving them some strange story that the constables fell for.”
So while they not be hardcore rule benders like they play in shows often, they are not quite the Mr or Ms Goody Two Shoes they play either. And then, what is life without a little mischief ?

Post Remix, Karan Wahi seems to have disappeared from the television industry. The actor was all set to make his return with Sony’s much-discussed reality show Bigg Boss. According to the grapevine, Karan was one of the first few to sign the contract for the show.

However, the actor won’t be a part of the project anymore since he was down with typhoid.

The actor who’s still at his residence in Delhi spoke about his disappointment on losing out on Bigg Boss. “When I was offered the show, I was quite excited about the idea.

I had seen the international episodes and was quite impressed with the
format. However, a typhoid attack for the last few weeks made it impossible for me to take up the project.”

Sweating it out

Karan has been at home for over a month and during this period the actor reveals he has put on a lot of weight. “I hadn’t been at home for such a long stretch. The deadly combination of the yummy food at home and the
chilled-out climate has made me plumper. These days, I am busy jogging, running and trying to lose the extra kilos.”

He also discloses that soon we might see him in a new look. “I think my look is changing. I actually feel the physical transformation in
my body. The boyish look is giving way to a man. Of course, I have to work doubly hard to lose weight and get in shape.”

Post Remix, the actor has been flooded with offers but is waiting for the right project.

“I was offered something with Balaji but then it didn’t work out. I think my boyish image works against me at times, especially when it comes to films.”

Now that he has recovered from his illness, Karan intends to start focussing on work. “I would love to step into Bollywood. But I am also open to anything interesting on television as well.” Interestingly, he still gets calls and messages from the Remix fans asking him if the show would ever be back. “There are these websites where people have continued the story of Remix in fictionalised episodes. I think that’s really sweet.”

Is he still in touch with his other co-stars from the show? “Yes I am. In fact, before coming to Delhi, I celebrated Raj’s birthday at my new house in Mumbai. Shweta is doing some shows but I am not really aware about what Priya is up to.”

Apart from watching films in his spare time, Karan is busy going through
Shah Rukh Khan’s recently released biography. “I worship Shah Rukh. He’s the ultimate actor in the industry and I was always interested in reading about him. I loved the book as it offered some really personal and private information on him.”

Wahi is all set to return back to Mumbai in a few days. “I can’t wait to get back to work. Though I hope I lose weight, so all my friends can recognise me when I am back.”

At present, I have been getting offers, but those are far from being interesting. I don't want to portray an elderly character after playing a 20-year-old girl. And who doesn't want to be in the limelight? Unfortunately, I have been in news for all the wrong reasons," she says.

On hearing this Jassi is a lil suprised and protests \\\\\\\"Lekin Armaan Sir...abhi itna kaam para hai...kal Fashion Show hai aur aap chahte ho ki abhi main Mr. Sumit Ahuja ki beti ke saath rahoon!!\\\\\\\"

\\\\\\\"Theek hai\\\\\\\" and Jassi asks someone to get two fresh orange juices. Once Tia is busy drinking and eyeing Jassi as well as every nook and cranny of her cabin in disgust, Jassi asks her if she would like to go on a tour and see the whole of \\\\\\\'GULMOHUR\\\\\\\'.
Tia is excited at this idea and squeals out \\\\\\\"Haan sure!! Tia hamesha se modelling karna chahti thi n ek din Tia aise hi bade fashion-house ke liye modelling karegi!\\\\\\\"

On their way, they all bump into Maddy Sir. Maddy on seeing Tia is completely spell-bound n is lyk \\\\\\\"Excuse me...kya tum mere kapdo ke liye modelling karna pasand karogi??\\\\\\\"
Jassi looks at Maddy with an eye of disapproval but Maddy ignores her n Tia very excited agrees n accompanies Maddy 4 d shoot.
Once the shoot is over, Maddy is all praises for Tia \\\\\\\"Oh Tia honey! You are marvellous!\\\\\\\"
Tia is overwhelmed and very graciously replies \\\\\\\"Thank You!\\\\\\\" and then asks Maddy \\\\\\\"Ye \\\\\\\'GULMOHUR\\\\\\\' jaise classy place mein Jassi jaisi tacky ladki kya kar rahi hai?\\\\\\\"
They do not notice that Jassi has overheard them as Maddy continues \\\\\\\"Is poore fashion-house ke Chairman Armaan se poocho...kya dekha usne is Jassi mein.....\\\\\\\"
Jassi can\\\\\\\'t take it anymore, she has tears in her eyes and she runs back and just then Tia turns around and realises Jassi has heard everything and she rushes 2 comfort Jassi.

Tia finds Jassi in her cabin and tells her \\\\\\\"Jassi! Please don\\\\\\\'t cry or feel **. Tia bahut sorry hai.\\\\\\\"
Jassi puts on a smile and says \\\\\\\"It\\\\\\\'s ok and vaise bhi mujhe bura nahi laga coz tumne theek kaha hai. Main dikhne mein achi nahi hoon...\\\\\\\"
Tia tries telling her \\\\\\\"Nahi Jassi aisa kuch nahi hai...\\\\\\\" when Jassi cuts her in the middle and continues \\\\\\\"...Par mere paas dimag hai n main apna kaam poore lagan and mehnat ke saath achi tarah se karti hoon\\\\\\\".
Tia smiles in agreement but continues \\\\\\\"Lekin Jassi...is world mein jo acha dikhta hai na wahi matter karta hai. Tumhe apne looks ko modify karna hi parega if you want to fit in....tumhe apne wardrobe ka moake-over karna hi hoga....itne tacky salwar-kameez to Tia ke ghar mein Tia ke servants bhi nahi pehante...\\\\\\\"
Jassi now a lil bugged cuts Tia short again n tells her \\\\\\\"Main jaisi hoon vaisi theek hoon. Mujhe apna make-over nahi karna hai. Babajee ne mujhe jaisa banaaya hai main vaisi hi rahoongi....tumhare concern ke liye thanks!\\\\\\\"
Tia understands this and smiles and says \\\\\\\"Tum theek kehti ho...is poore world mein Tia Ahuja hona koi aisi vaisi baat nahi lekin Tia jaisi is world mein bahut saari ladki hai jo apne looks ke upar bahut zyada concerned hoti hai lekin is poore world mein Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi!\\\\\\\"
Jassi smiles and then asks her \\\\\\\"Tumhe bhook lagi hai? Abhi hamara lunch-time hai...mere saath canteen chalo...\\\\\\\"
Tia replies \\\\\\\"Sure!\\\\\\\"

Just then Tia gets a call from her dad asking her to come at once. Tia answers on the phone \\\\\\\"Ok! Ok Papa! Tia abhi aa rahi hai...Tia ka wait karna\\\\\\\"...she then glances at Jassi and tells her \\\\\\\"Sorry Jassi...Tia ko abhi jaana hoga....ek bahut important kaam hai!\\\\\\\"
Jassi nods her head \\\\\\\"Ok Tia...tumse milkar acha laga. Bye!\\\\\\\"

Anvesha sees red over hair!

Even though Remix has gone off air, people still associate Priya Wal aka Anvesha with the rebellious red hair. So much so, that the actress is now tired of rejecting roles that require her to do a replay of her old character.
Most recently, Priya rejected Balaji’s Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii after she was asked to re-dye her naturally black hair. She says, “When Remix ended, I returned to my natural hair colour. But I was offered the show because of my stint as Anvesha. So the minute I met the show’s producers they asked me, ‘Where’s your red hair?’ It’s as if people aren’t aware that my hair is naturally black, not red!”

Wal reveals that she’s been flooded with offers to play a brat or a rebel. “The popularity of Remix hasn’t faded. People still call me up with roles that have some or the other element of Anvesha in them. I have to keep saying no as I don’t want to do the same thing again.”

Power play
Post Remix, the actress was also offered a role in the international show Power Rangers, to be shot in the US. However, after being in talks for over three months, Priya had to let go of the role since she couldn’t go for the auditions.

“I was shortlisted along with three other girls for the part. But they kept me hanging for a long time. During this period, I was refusing other work as I thought this project would fall through. However, that didn’t happen.”
Now on a break from work, Priya visited her grandmother in Delhi and also went travelling with friends. “I just needed to recharge and take a good break before I resumed work,” she says.

New innings
Currently, the actress is working on a new look. “I have grown my hair really long and have started going to the gym regularly.”

Priya is shooting for Sony’s CID right now, but she doesn’t want to jump into a daily show unless she’s totally convinced. “I am happy doing my commercials, cameos and episodic shows. I will get into a daily only when I am satisfied with the offer.”

Priya was highly amused when none of her friends and colleagues identified her at a recent telly awards show. “It was so funny. My director and some other friends walked right past me. In fact, wherever I go they keep asking me if I am the same girl who played Anvesha. I think my red hair is stuck in everyone’s mind!”

When asked if she’s in touch with her Remix gang, she says, “Yes. I keep bumping into Karan (Wahi) at the gym. I am not so much in touch with Raj and Shweta though.”

So the minute I met the show’s producers they asked me, ‘Where’s your red hair?’ It’s as if people aren’t aware that my hair is naturally black, not red!”

Wal reveals that she’s been flooded with offers to play a brat or a rebel. “The popularity of Remix hasn’t faded. People still call me up with roles that have some or the other element of Anvesha in them. I have to keep saying no as I don’t want to do the same thing again.”

Power play
Post Remix, the actress was also offered a role in the international show Power Rangers, to be shot in the US. However, after being in talks for over three months, Priya had to let go of the role since she couldn’t go for the auditions.

“I was shortlisted along with three other girls for the part. But they kept me hanging for a long time. During this period, I was refusing other work as I thought this project would fall through. However, that didn’t happen.”
Now on a break from work, Priya visited her grandmother in Delhi and also went travelling with friends. “I just needed to recharge and take a good break before I resumed work,” she says.

New innings
Currently, the actress is working on a new look. “I have grown my hair really long and have started going to the gym regularly.”

Priya is shooting for Sony’s CID right now, but she doesn’t want to jump into a daily show unless she’s totally convinced. “I am happy doing my commercials, cameos and episodic shows. I will get into a daily only when I am satisfied with the offer.”

Priya was highly amused when none of her friends and colleagues identified her at a recent telly awards show. “It was so funny. My director and some other friends walked right past me. In fact, wherever I go they keep asking me if I am the same girl who played Anvesha. I think my red hair is stuck in everyone’s mind!”

When asked if she’s in touch with her Remix gang, she says, “Yes. I keep bumping into Karan (Wahi) at the gym. I am not so much in touch with Raj and Shweta though.”

There was a sequence where we were shooting the entry scene of my sister-in-law Moulli (wife's sister) played by Shweta Gulati. In the sequence my wife Mahua forces Moulli (who has just returned from London) to trade her mini skirt (http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=493704#) for sari to suit the sensibilities of our neighbours. And as the scene goes, Moulli trips and falls on me," Ashiesh says.

He adds, "We were rehearsing for the scene, when all of a sudden I felt a jerk in my back. I realised that I must have pulled a muscle in my back. I felt a terrible pain but I could not do anything about it because I had promised Shweta that I would not let her fall down. After that, I rested for a while but continued shooting till the unit called for a pack up. Simply, because I didn't want the producers to suffer losses."

"The unit members and Shweta in particular were feeling very guilty about the whole incident. In my zeal to do the scene, I too didn't realise that I need to take extra care of my back, which has been giving me trouble for a long time. Now I have been advised complete bed rest and lie down for most of the day," Ashiesh says.

"I am not allowed to get up from the bed. I have kept a stove close to my bed from where I can make myself instant noodles," he says. When contacted, director Sohail Katari confirmed the incident and expressed his concern towards the same.

‘I wanted to be the next Steffi Graf’

Had actor Priya Wal (‘Remix’ and ‘CID’) continued playing tennis, perhaps the nation would have got another glamorous player after Sania Mirza.

Priya was a national level tennis player when she left her childhood passion to pursue modelling and later acting.

“I wanted to be the next Steffi Graf. I used to play in school and then in college. I was really passionate about the game.” She continues, “However, tennis wasn’t as big then as it is now, thanks to Sania Mirza. I thought the game wouldn’t sustain me. It was tough to survive. I thought of being in a profession where I could enjoy benefits and money. That’s when modelling happened in Delhi.”

Priya has not looked back since then. Later she was offered the show ‘Remix’.

The actor is currently part of ‘CID’ (Sony), where she plays a forensic doctor.

“I am keen to do films too. But I would like to work in alternate cinema. Similarly, on television, I don’t think I can carry off traditional bahu roles. I might be uncomfortable,” says Priya who is also a finalist for the nationwide Guess Faces to Watch contest.

Post Remix, Karan Wahi maintained a low profile. The actor stayed away from any television shows and only did a couple of commercials. His wait seems to have paid off, as there’s buzz that Wahi has signed up a UTV film. Confirming this, he says, “Yes, I am in talks for a project, but I can’t reveal anything more.”

It is believed that Karan is playing a character his age — a college guy who goes through various ups and downs in his life. Mostly comprising newcomers, the film is scheduled to go on the floors in the coming year.

I have got sufficient offers for full-length roles, but things haven’t worked out. I have refused serials like Saat Phere, Kaajjal, Saarrthi, Kuch Apne Kuch Paraye. Either the role was not good or the money was an issue.
But in the process, you lost out on money?
True. But that’s not an issue. First, I need to be convinced and feel happy before I sign on the dotted line.
You’ve been tense about your mom’s health.
Yes. She had a stroke and was hospitalised for 15 days. I stayed with her in the hospital for 11 of those days. I had to shuttle between Oshiwara and Thane (where her mother stays with her father and sister), during that period.
How is she now?
She is still not well. She has developed a gynaec problem and needs surgery.
You auditioned for anchoring Popkorn Newz?
Yes. But I didn’t get it.
Are you dating someone?
Yes, there is a man in my life. I began dating him when Remix was on its last leg. He is not from the entertainment industry, but a businessman. Our families know about it. But wait for few days before I give you the details.
How did you meet?
We met through a common friend and got along very well. I feel very comfortable in his company.
Any marriage plans?
It’s too early to talk about marriage. We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it
