Belonging to a respected lineage in cinema like, many accepted Sikandar to choose a prominent production house to introduce him to Bollywood . But Sikandar proved everyone wrong by choosing his own path to stardom and his foray into Bollywood has been met with hope and promise by the media, and received several positive reviews.
Sikandar is one of the few actors to have his first two movies in the span of 15 days. His debut movie was “Woodstock Villa”, by Sanjay Gupta . The film introduced to Indian Cinema the new “Marlboro Man” a face perhaps lacking in the industry of stereotypes.
Soon after the release of “Woodstock Villa”, people got to see Sikandar in a completely new light in “ Summer of 2007 ” which was a hard hitting movie talking about real issues like farmer suicide and while most new actors would shy away from a topic like this, Sikandar took this film up and proved his mettle. This movie was recently showcased at the International Film Festival of India in Goa.
