One lady who argued that there is no place in this world for those people who use their heart, gave the shock of life to everyone watching the show...she cited an example : say, a person driving a car at 120km speed should not stop his car if a dog suddenly crossed the road in front of him, considering the fact that his own life would be at stake if he applied the brake to save the dog...a member of the opposite team(who spoke for people who acted according to their heart's say), questioned the former whether the same rule would apply, if it happened to be her child that was crossing the road at that time....to everybody's utter shock that lady anwered in the affirmative and said that 'kuzhandai venumnal innonnu pethukkalam, appo en uyir than mukkiyam, brake adikka matten'....immediately one lady from the opposite team said, 'i'm a mother, no mother on earth can do a thing like that, maybe you are not a mother, and that's why you are able to answer in this manner'.....IMO that lady is not a human being at all....just for argument sake, how can she be so low...

Please voice your opinion on this, friends...

That lady spoke just for argument sake...She has been doing that from the beginning of the show..

She wanted her POV to be endorsed, that's why she went to the extent of saying this unusual statements....That shows there are people with this mentality in our world....

My concern is, what if she applies all this in her real Life ???? Pray not to be true but if True I pity her Children and the family !!!!

There was no need for her to say these statements, she was'nt kept under a GUN Point for the matter.......

Ulagam ippadiyum irukku Pola ............ Naan ippo than paarthen....

Firstly, a loud hurrah to ur Brilliant Portrayal LM! That itself depicts the exact scenes altho’ I dint get to watch the episode!

Secondly wrt the passage, Arghhhhh! What a bad-hearted lady she is? According to me, she doesn’t hv a heart – can be taken literally as well as ironically…Heartless creature - Ruthless!

But guys, r we all supposed to deny that there r many merciless dames exist in our present world?. I sanc ommsdxb’s ulagam axiom! I wud like to share a small real-life incident that I gotta hear from my college mate. I’m sure most of u must hv heard it. A lady was walking (without her sandals)carrying her 60 days old baby on the way to a nearby village. It was a damn sunny day. As the lady cudn’t bear the heat of the sun, she put her baby down on the road n stamped/stood over on her baby just in order to get her relieved off from the circ. The infant died on the spot. This is just an example, which cudn’t be imagined. What a callous act? She belongs to the same category.:D

Imo, no matter what, we shud always act as per our heart’s verdict n sometimes if forced by mind likely to be prone to the context, can act with the mind but ruled over by the heart. The mind may be gr8 at solving riddles, but it's a bungling idiot when it comes to factual life. Rather, the mind is meant to be but a mouthpiece for the soul. Practically, we see, the soul, being beyond the body, has a superior vision. It also has some gr8 ideas to express. But the soul needs to get the body involved in that vision and those ideas. N it knows the only way that can happen is by inspiring the heart.(I’m not kidding!:p)

Some folks lose the mind and get caught up in the heart. Others forget abt the heart and become wrapped up in the mind. Neither way is gud. Lastly, the point is to get the soul to express itself in the heart by reaching through the mind. Hope I’m clear!

Although the above statements gush out both from my mind n heart, I act mostly acc to my heart – No hassles if it’s bothersome at times – the highlight is that I don’t want to be Selfish at any circumstances! Wish it applies for major category too!

What you say is 100% true......

Basically people who say that they go with their heads are actually insecured personalities.... They tend to do anything to keep themselves safe & secure, which is actually very wrong by nature.....

This is as similar to this scenario...... You do something wrong and to escape from that you immediately blame someone else and you don't even bother on that person even he loses the JOB or his LIFE.......

She needs urgent medical assistance for now...........

True and this applies to all.......

One point i believe "Maname" team missed out..

A Lady from "Moolayaa" said you need brains to earn money and brains to keep them safe for your future ........ For that the opposite team did not have words to express (Don't Know Why) !!!!!!

If you have used only your brain, I have some 15 live examples in front of me now living without any money in hand just because they have invested all their savings and other incomes in Mutual Funds & Real Estate options...!!!!

All this Satyam saga erupted just because of a crooked mind (Super brain)person called Raamalinga Raju !!!!!

If their brains were super brains why this landslide....?????

Better to be on Steffie's way always ......

She so stupid.. seriously she acted like a sales person! I can say she is a good speaker + she more sounded like a politics person. Wow her points and example are pointless.. I was watching with my mother... my mother went's crazy of her. My mom was saying how she doesnt have a brain... "Mula illathathu ithuku enka Ithayam irukum"... and also the lady was like 'kuzhandai venumnal innonnu pethukkalam, appo en uyir than mukkiyam, brake adikka matten'. hahaha Ivaluku Pillaiya pirakathu... if she have kids now.. i hope now they know about their own mother!
all over Public showla good attam.
Gopinath is a super Host.. He can Handle anything... very talented guy and he was shocked by her too..

i think everyone was just too shocked to hear what she said...."kozlantha vena inonnu pethukalam" that just killed it all.
the woman wanted her argument to win so much that she forgot what she was even saying. she was a great example of what happens if you use your brain alone. i could see that Gopinath himself was absolutely shocked.

No offence but everytime she started talking she reminded me of a serial villi and all this time i thought serial villis are exaggerated characters!

I also happen to watch the show and was unable to control my anger while hearing the foolish and inhuman arguments veted out by the lady on the side of BRAIN

I do not accept that she was telling things for arguments sake. It looked like she meant
what she told

I give some of the shocking statements made by her in the show

I will hit a dog if it crosses when I am going at a speed in my car to reach my destination

(it is natural instinct for any body for that matter to apply brake immediately if anything comes across whether it is a dog or a even a small frog)

Next shock came when she said even if the person who crosses is related to her i.e. child. father or mother she will hit over them to reach her destination

The bigger shock came when she said I can get another child if I want (kuzhandai innonnu
pethukkalaam)

The final shock came when she said if she is not well at old age, if she throws money,
hundred people will come to look after her

words cannot express the shock and disbelief I got when heard these words

The question is simple. Whether you will use your brain to take decision or your heart to make a decision. History has proved those who have taken decision with brain had their temporary successes but those who have taken decision with their hearts earned a name in the history

People are diverted in the arguments over earning in financial terms, success in monetary terms and benefits in cash

there are certain things beyond.. like decision taken by hearts of Mahatma Gandhi or Mother Therasa through which we achieved freedom and understood the power of love and affection

I was surprised at the end of the show, when, the host Gopinath expressed shock over the lady's remark, but said he endorsed the views of that lady and also he said that she has only expressed her own philosophy and there is nothing wrong in that.

the following small story I am telling is for the host Mr.Gopinath which will end the argument forever in this topic.

It is actually not a story but a true incident happened in our country

A young man was travelling in a Bus full of passengers.

He felt a sudden disturbance when he noticed there was a time bomb in that Bus

He took a decision

He jumbed out of the Bus

Friends the story does not end here. If he has taken a decision with his brain the story ends here

Now I add three more words in the last sentence.

He jumbed out of the Bus *with the Bomb*

This is the actual decision taken by the young man with his heart and he saved
60 lives.

Let us use the Brain but when it comes to taking decision let us not think of temporary monetary benefits and selfish needs but with a open heart as expected of a human being

goodbye

expecting your comments

I was extremely shocked to see that lady talk like that. It was HORRIBLE TO THE CORE.

Maname team was pathetic. They could not argue with that lady properly.

First shock was " CHINNA NAI DHANE "

Second was " ORU KOZHANDAI PONA ENNA INNONNU PETHUKKALAAM "

Third was " KAASU KUDUTHA VELLAKAARI VARUVAA "

On the first shock, any normal person would not say this. Even if we hurt someone unknowingly we feel for that. That is the human nature. Her attitude was worst and unhuman.

On the second shock, I wanted to ask that lady, if she can kill her own child,
can she do that to her own family? Can she kill her parents to save her life?
Can she kill her husband ( Anyway she can marry again as she told for child 'pethukkalam' )
What if that person crossing is unknown to her? So she does not care for anybody in this world.

On the third shock, that exactly showed how arrogant that lady is. She does not respect any fellow human being.

On the whole she was talking for MOOLAIYE without any MOOLAI.

Any person with good heart would definitely be a genius. Contrary might not be true always.

And one more thing I want to add in this.

I wonder why people always relate success with money and power. Real success lies with good heart and good nature.

The story I narrated in my earlier message is a 100 percent true story which I read in a newspaper sometimes back. I do not recall the names and places but the essence of the incident stayed back in my heart. Actually the story was narrated with a pinch of patriotism.

But I found the incident a true example of how a decision made with heart can always
be superior to a decision taken by our brain.

I suggest you to take the essence of the story (incident) which is important.

another story (let me say an incident)

On one occasion we came across a peon who has misused a small amount in our office petty cash and when the matter was referred to the officer in charge of the department, he took over the case and made an enquiry. We were all furious and expressed that he should be punished but the officer in charge of the enquiry was keeping on postponing the issue and finally after dragging the enquiry for two months, the peon was let off with a warning and a memo. If the enquiry was conducted as per rule, he would have been dismissed from service. After somedays, when we asked the officer why he did so, he informed us that if he was sacked, his whole family would have come to road.(two daughters, one son and an old aged mother) Now for the punishment, he has already got it. He was undergoing all these days a tremendous pressure, shame and embarrasment from the looks of his fellow workers and his own family. That is enough for him for his whole life and he will never do such thing again.

Now dont you agree that the officer who has enquired has applied his heart to take a decison but not his brain. Had his brain taken a decision, it would have cost terrible loss for the peon's family and his whole generation to come.

Hope you dont ask, whether this incident really happened?

It is better to use our brains to earn some money, make a decent living and do better things in life but let it never overshadow the natural feelings and voices enumerated from our own hearts

great men decide with the heart

that is what I mean,

First I thank everybody who keep the thread interesting and by responding quickly
that keeps me coming back again

firstly, I think apart from the show, the topic is so interesting and needs more attention, we get more and more thoughts. So I think let us keep the topic of the thread away from the talk show and discuss also.

I have narrated a story of a person jumping out of the Bus with the Bomb and saved lives of the passengers, may be he is a sardarji, that I dont remember, lovemusic told that he has lost his arms... vinodini said he has lost his eyes.. I guess if I remember correctly, he lost his leg

My god. Now slowly we are making the Sardarji losing his body parts one by one..
please let us not create a sardarji joke out of it

Secondly regarding the doubt arised by me and tinaa why Gopinath at the end even after expressing shock over the lady's comments, said he endorsed her views and what she said is her own philosophy.. I think he just wanted to cool down the tension created by the remarks of the lady.. But what I feel is as a host he has got a right to express his own views and condemn any wrong comments made by the participants. Mind it, this is not a patti manram where the decision is taken on the arguing capacity of the participants.. He could have come down heavily with his own views in the end of the show.

Thirdly I want to ponder over a thought in this topic regarding the aspect of Brain and Heart

If you take the brain as an organ, its function is thinking, it you take heart as organ its function is nothing to do with feelings(scientifically and medically) So I feel your feelings are also controlled by your brain only (so a good thinking by the brain)may be associated with good heart( literally)

Now can we understand that it all depends how you use your brain.. for the good thinking or bad thinking..

Another point, in a lighter vein, I want to add, is that In tamil we say the organ heart as "idhayam". Actually this is derived from sanskrit word "hridaya" I invite all tamil students, scholars, puravalars and aarvalars to tell the correct word in tamil for HEART(the organ) Anybody who can quote with tamil literature(old) is welcome. Whoever is able to give the correct tamil word will be awarded a title. You are also invited to suggest a correct word if you cannot find a word anywhere

(chumma 4 example) if iam seeing an accident of my very d'rst one!!! atonce i'll get heart attack r brain attack????? hmmm then ow can u tell tht heart has no connection with feelings??? and also who said medically heart's function is nothing to do wid feelings?? if an hrt patient goes and consults a doctor.. he'll say dnt laugh more, dnt get upset, dnt cry, dnt get tension, dnt hear any bad news..etc..etc.... hm k Sashi nw u tell me ur opinion abt this. k then dnt 2gt to give me the title.. he he he

"success n happiness r two different things..
success is measured by da amount of wealth u've earned bt happiness is measured by da amount of people who love u"

u can b success wid ur brain bt u can only b happy wid ur heart...
n specially whn it comes from a man who has made more money than all others it must b true...

then,
all da views expressed by "brains" faction n especially that sales woman r da fundamentals of de "Ameriacan mentality" n da wall street..
by now v all know wut has become of this politically correct n sophisticated mentality....
Even President Obama critisied this in his opening speech...

Please voice your opinion on this, friends...

hello frnds recently i read GENERAL EXCEPTIONS in IPC(Indian Penal Code).. this IPC lists outs the punishment/penality for every crime... hope u all knw this. under ths general exception section 81 tells "act done without any criminal intention causing harm which is to avoid the greatr harm is not punishable"

for example: (A real case) A ship is sailing on the sea with high speed.. tht time the captan see a boat of 12 members so he plans to turn the ship to the other side bt the other side also there was a boat wer only one person was
there.. The ship was going in a very speed it can be controlled and turned only
once r else it will topple! so the captan chose the side wer only one person was there.. now the captan din do tht with any intention bt anyways he had killed a person.... here can we say tht the is a heartless person?? no coz he had saved the ppl in the ship and those 12 members in the boat! he had killed tht person to avoid the greater harm!.......

okay... now u think abt tht lady who spoke abt the dog and a child... she had told the same which tht captan had done! is it wong??? U knw even i was very angry and shocked wen she told!! i scolded her and and posted sme threads also... but think who r we to comment on her own prsnl views?? What is right 4 u is not right 4 me!! and u knw tht lady unknowingly used her heart and answered tht ques. we all thought only abt tht child & dog but none of us thought abt the ppl who were driving behind but tht lady had used her heart 4 those ppl and told the answer.. instead of 100, 1 is better.. even law agrees it... tht lady had really used her heart and told tht.... cha ow tht lady would have felt if she had seen the threads which we scolded her......

IM REALLY VERY SORRY FOR WAT I'VE POSTED BEFORE..

and again ow bad tht lady would have felt wen a opp. team member said 'i'm a mother, no mother on earth can do a thing like that, maybe you are not a mother, and that's why you are able to answer in this manner' -->In our same tamilnadu many many mothers wer doing feticide an infanticide... and even mothers kill their small child for the child knowing her illegal relationship...... frnds think wen "we" r "she" (opp team) r the one who were coming behind... hmm then our answers and replies would have been different..

after all we are just humans...

Freinds

I requested a tamil word for HEART (the organ, physical or medical)

idayam and hridayam came from "hriday" a sanskrit word

nenjam, ullam, manasu, manathu, manam all related to soul

so no marks for vinodini (you have to try hard, not so easy)

freinds! send in your suggestions to get the title

sasidhar

hi sasidhar

i think i have found a pure tamil word for 'heart' but im not 100% sure if its right.
heart -நெஞ்சாங்குலை

or we sometimes say 'nenjaangkootu' but i dont think thats scientific enough.

thank you for asking that qs btw ..got my 'moolai' working for some time. lolz :D

Talking something aloud and doing it is not a trait we humans generally have, although conciously she says she will not brake, try going in front of her car when she is speeding :-)

9 out of 10 times she WILL brake*.

*just don't try it the 10th time.
