The verdict seems to be out, and as per the court's judgment, Uttaran the show on COLORS will have to go thro' a title change... Read to know more..
The title of Uttaran, the show on COLORS is in danger now!! As we know, Ashok Mudgal, a Writer by profession had filed a case even before the launch of 'Uttaran' stating that he owned legal rights for the same title. He had then further stated that he had registered the show concept for a film and a TV show as well, but was then only seeking a stay on the title of the TV show.

But they have given the channel and Production House, Film Farm a day's time to change the title", quotes Mudgal to Telly Buzz.
But Producer Pintoo Guha of Film Farm stated, "Well the final hearing is still pending. On Friday, things will get clear. Only after that I can give you some clear picture on what is happening".
Another little birdie from the channel chirps, "Well even we have heard this. Things are in process for change in title. All will get clear by Friday".
Mr. Mudgal further says that once the title gets changed, he will also seek a stay on the telecast of the show. "Now I will try to sell my above show rights to other channels". He also adds that the COLORS story is now coming close to his concept.
Asked if a middle ground can be reached with the channel, Mudgal quips, "Well I will first have to be paid 2.5 crores, the money I invested in the film of the same title as well as for the four TV show episodes that I have already made".
When we contacted COLORS, they said they are still in the process of framing a response.
Uttaran focuses on a young girl's journey through life and a mother-daughter relationship. It's the story Iccha and her dreams. This little girl is unaware of the meaning of Uttaran and finds her happiness in many such small things.
Let's see What's in store for Uttaran now!!

COLORS has won the latest round in its battle with Mr. Ashok Mudgal who had claimed copy right over the title of show Uttaran..
If ever the saying 'What's in a name' is applicable, it would be in the legal battle between writer and producer Ashok Mudgal and COLORS, over the title of the show Uttaran. Yesterday we had reported that Mr. Mudgal had claimed that the High Court had granted a stay on the title due to copy right infringement. But today, it appears that the Superior Court has refused to hear the case and have asked Mudgal to move the Sessions court.
But Producer Mr. Pintoo Guha of Film Farms says, "The court has dismissed the case and that there will be no change of title".
COLORS on their part issued the following statement. "Ashok Mudgal had filed the suit to stop the channel "Colors" and producer Film Farm India Pvt. Ltd. from telecasting and advertising their serial under the title "UTARAN" on the basis of his claim that the title "Utaran" was registered in his favor by Film Maker Combine and Western India Film Producers Association. He filed the suit at a belated stage i.e on the first day of telecast of the show and after a lapse of one month from the start of promotions of the show. He was unable to get any relief until 47 shows of the serial were telecast. On Wednesday (18th Feb), the Bombay High Court granted ad-interim injunction restraining the telecast of serial under the title "Utaran". The restraining order was operative from 22nd February, Monday. The matter was heard again today. Counsel Mr. Venkatesh Dhond instructed by Mr. Ameet Naik from Naik, Naik and Company appeared on behalf of Producer and the Channel and submitted that the Producer had obtained registration of the title "Utaran" after obtaining no-objection of Film Maker Combine. Mr. Dhond also submitted that there is no copyright in "title". He also pointed out that the High Court lacked pecuniary jurisdiction to entertain the suit. The High Court observed that there is no copyright in title. The High Court was convinced that Mr. Mudgal was not entitled to any relief since the suit was not maintainable on the ground of pecuniary jurisdiction hence no reliefs were granted in favor of Mr. Mudgal".
We wonder whether this is the end of the title drama or not?

http://www1.india-forums.com/tellybuzz/images/uploads/77F_pic_thmb.jpg Sparsh who plays the little girl with ambitions, Ichcha in COLORS' Uttaran talks about her aspirations, her role, the actors she likes and much more..
In an era where young kids are stealing the limelight from established actors, the little girl Sparsh who plays Ichcha in COLORS' Uttaran is happy that she has secured a place for herself in the television industry.
http://www.india-forums.com/tellybuzz/images/uploads/5CC_pic1.jpgKnown as Sparsh Purshotam Khanchandani to people around her in real life, the girl is a Kendriya Vidyalaya student in Mumbai studying in 3rd standard.
Though this girl has got fame so early, she doesn't want to persuade her career in acting. "For now I am happy to act in serials, but later on I want to become an IAS officer and serve the nation," she states.
Considering her tender age, Sparsh has a very clean mind when it comes to her nation. "There have been so many bad incidents in our country. The recent terrorism attack has shaken the whole world. After becoming an IAS officer, I want to destroy this terrorism", avers the girl.
Coming back to her stint in the show, isn't it difficult to balance both her studies and work? "Not at all, as in the morning I usually go to school as a normal kid would. I come back home in the afternoon, rest for a while and then hit to my shooting in the evening. The beauty is that I do not have to shoot for long hours as we always maintain a pretty decent bank, and are ahead when it comes to work", verbalizes this little wonder.
"During shoot whenever I get a break, I complete my homework and my mother who is with me at the sets helps me in this, as she is a teacher by profession. I love my production team, as they allow me to pack up early so that I get to play with my friends too," says Sparsh aka Ichcha.
Talking about Ichcha she says, "I just put myself in place of Ichcha and the expressions come out. There is nothing much common between us, as Iccha doesn't have a dad and Sparsh has a dad who dotes on his daughter like anything. Acting has always been my hobby, and I have never found it tough to get into the skin of Ichcha. I imagine her, and it automatically clicks".
The little girl like every normal kid loves to feed on ice creams, chocolates and pizza. "I also like to eat Aloo mattar and dal chawal", quips she. She is a movie freak and has her own favorite choices when it comes to actors. "I like Amitabh uncle and Shahid Kapoor and would love to work with them. I also like Hema aunty because she is beautiful and dances so well," expresses Sparsh.
Sparsh has previously acted for a movie Red Alert, an Indian Oil documentary, a music video with Preeti Sagar and a TV show Mera Sasural .
Like the innocent Ichcha, Sparsh too has small dreams, and we wish that it comes true!!
