Interior decorator and actor Akshay Kumar’s other half talks about beauty inside and out.
Before I got into movies I had never used lipstick. This is because I wasn’t interested in cosmetics at all. i had a big issue with sitting down for an hour to get my make-up done, so by the end of my film career, I had started doing my own hair and make-up. I quickly do my own make-up before a party; I don’t even go to a salon to blow-dry my hair!
Fitness mantra: I do Patanjali yoga everyday. I’ve been doing it for the past five years. Besides that, I walk up four flights of stairs to my office. I used to work out but it’s never helped me in the past and when I stopped, everything else fell in place.
Red carpet glamour: my “going out” look is fixed down to a routine. I put on some loud music to prep myself. I don’t really like heavy foundation so I use some tinted moisturiser by Laura Mercier. I stroke on Lancome mascara, smudged khol, a dollop of lipgloss and I’m done. It’s quick and easy.
