International fashion designer Zac Posen kick started the hauntingly haute couture on the ramp. Most of our Bollywood celebrities also rocked this trend. Here is how you can achieve it...

In an interview with a famous magazine, Lucia Pieroni, makeup artiste for Zac Posen’s fall 2009 said that she had visions of Winona Ryder’s Beetlejuice character and Helena Bonham Carter’s corpse bride dancing through her head. She says that she wanted her models to have big, hollowed-out eyes with huge lashes so that they represent the tough, mody and slightly Goth looks well.

The hair at Posen’s show had a similarly edgy glamour; hairstylist Odile Gilbert describes the chignons as a woman who is married to Nepolean and came to America to become a rock star!

In prepping strands for rock royalty, Gilbert misted L’Oréal Professionnel Texture Expert Expansion on them, curling and teasing to perfection. Next, she secured a sponge in the back and, in between sprays of L’Oréal Professionnel Texture Expert Infinium #2, fashioned hair around it in a French twist.

Stretching a studded headband over the front of the head, Gilbert then back-combed tresses around the crown and pinned them into a voluminous bouffant supported by the sponge base. A generous helping of L’Oréal Professionnel Texture Expert Infinium #4 imparted budge-free hold and a hint of shine.
