Why politicians favours reservation
1)for vote bank
as the politicians get more votes from backward classes in respect to the no. of voters,their desperate attempts remain continuous to manage the vote banks to pamper them anyway,may be at the rate of country’s progress.as long as the upper caste peoples do not give them a big no. of voters to fulfil their political desire for their respective parties,they won’t hear any thing against reservation.
2)regional politics
some states of India are having a large no. of dalits and backward classes voters.by depending on their votes many regional parties managed to aquire a good no. of seats in the parliament.for that reason they also took a key role to form a central govt.for that reason so called national parties like congress,bjp are not able to neglect them,and they also have the tension for the votes to secure their respective futures.so demand may be ugly or fair,they are almost bound to implement as political situation matters.
3)taking the help from the history of caste based torture
India has a vile record of torturing lower caste peoples by the so called upper castes.there are several proofs from history.so some extent there is a sense of anger among the politicians and also among the people of lower castes who give them vote as they were/are seemed to be tortured,neglected.
4)they don’t want to create the awareness from basic level
they don’t want to create the awareness from basic levels as they would loose their vitality and credibility among the common or so called backward peoples .they no very well that if there are enough primary and secondary educated peoples ,they would loose their votes as many of the political parties get the votes at the cost of the peoples’ ignorance.
5)divide and rule policy to stay in power
when there was british rule in our country,they used that policy in India among the hindus and muslims .after our independence the political parties also doing the same and more than that they are using even in hindu communities to spread the division to new age casteism-that is quota raj(quota system).they don’t want citizens unity,but want to have clear cut division in the name of constitution,to secure their powerpoints.
