Actor Sharad Malhotra aka Sagar's make-up room caught fire due to a short circuit on the sets of Banoo main Teri Dulhann. As a result, the show's screenplay for the day, which was kept in the room was also burnt.

An anxious Sharad says, "Oh God, it was a scary incident. I was talking to my scheduler outside my make-up room when we noticed smoke emanating from it. I immediately rushed towards it. My scheduler realised that the script was inside the room and ran in to rescue it, but to no avail as it was already ablaze. He even got injured, and suffered second degree burns."

Sharad says that the rest of the team was blissfully unaware of the fire as they were shooting elsewhere for the pilot. "The team was unaware of the incident. Soon, we managed to get a few fire extinguishers. Thankfully, the fire was extinguished easily. But, the entire team was scared when they came to know about the incident.

here are sum articles of banoo main teri dulhaan and da crue!!!!

sindoora and her life!!

All this while, Bunty Negi, an assistant director on Vishesh Films’ in-the-making project Showbiz, preferred to maintain a stoic silence about his failed marriage to telly actress Kamya Punjabi (Dulhann, Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki).

Negi, who is also into the lights business for Bollywood, did not want to indulge in mud-slinging. However, after Kamya broke her silence about their unsuccessful marriage (My marriage is over, HiTLIST, February 8), he wants to clear the air about what went wrong between Kamya and him.

Bunty first met Pinky (“That is Kamya’s real name,” he says) on the sets of Vashu Bhagnani’s Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Keerti Reddy. “Kamya began as a group dancer in films.

She was part of choreographer Ahmed Khan’s troupe and featured in Tera Jadoo’s title track. I was doing the lights for the film.

You can also see her in Kaho Na Pyar Hai. She is in the troupe dancing to the Pyar ki kashti track. She also tried her hand in south films before television happened,” points out Bunty.

Filmi shaadi

The couple went around for four years and on November 24, 2005 suddenly decided to tie the knot. “It was in true filmi fashion; we were deeply in love. We went to a mandir in Bandra and got married.

I told my family only afterwards that we had tied the knot. Later, we went to court and registered it. I was only 23. Now when I look back, I realise my marriage was a big mistake.

I didn’t listen to anyone, so I regret this moment the most. There were people who warned me against marrying a dancer. There were choreographers who told me to stay away but I did not listen. I was totally besotted by her.”

Though the couple remained married for two years, it turned into a rocky affair within months. “Initially, we stayed with our folks in Bandra and then moved to our home in Kandivili. She still stays in that house.

It began with small arguments, but our first big tiff was when she went off to Muscat to do a play without even telling me. She remained inaccessible for days.

She did not even bother to tell me she was travelling abroad! She kept on mixing her personal life with her professional life. She would tell me people are linking her with her co-stars on the sets and things like that.”

Midnight drama

When things went bad, he moved back with his folks in Bandra. About the infamous slapping incident in Kandivili a while back, Bunty claims, “Yes, there was a verbal duel we had in the wee hours of the morning on the road.

I pushed her, as I was extremely angry. She was with a struggling actor at that time. He was a friend of her co-star from Reth. She kept on defending this guy and that infuriated me.”

Bunty claims the main reason why they headed for splitsville was because of her growing friendship with her Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki co-actor Nimai Bali. “She would talk to him for hours and would insist that it was work-related.

I cautioned her several times, saying that he is married and has a child, but it was in vain. People would call me saying that they would see her with Nimai all the time. After this, there was no point in talking or settling our differences. We mutually agreed to part ways.”

Now Bunty wants to move on from this failed marriage. “I want to concentrate on direction now. My brother and uncle look after the lights business. I am also writing a script and hope to direct it next year. I want to work hard and forget this dark chapter in my life.”

The Dulhan is going do an Ash next week. Divyanka Tripathi who plays the demure damsel in distress in Zee's Banu Mein Teri Dulhan is going to be performing on the popular ditty Silsila yeh chahat ka from Devdas on which Aishwarya Rai performed.

Says Divyanka:. "I was doing Antakshari and I was shooting for Dulhan too. So it was very difficult. But at the end of it all it was a very satisfying experience for me."

The choreographer of the dance sequence is Arjun, Ritu Deora designed a lovely blue lehanga for her. According to the show's director and producer Neelima Bajpai, Vidya has to somehow or the other get a blood sample from her husband Sagar whose mind has regressed to that of an eight year old's."

She further elaborates, "There's a party on in the house and it's a challenge to Vidya to succeed in her mission through all her wiles and guiles. So,we decided to use the route of dance to get the blood sample, test the DNA and free him from the paternity charge levied against him by Surali, who plays the negative character."

According to Divyanka, the focus of the song sequences is the facial expressions and the movements. "I love dancing and the form is semi classical dance in this song. After a long time I was immensely satisfied," she says.

And how does she rank her performance as compared to Aishwarya Rai's in Devdas? "If Ash gets a 10, I should get 8.5," she says unabashedly.

dulhaan in the begining!!

Zee TV has made a comeback of sorts thanks to two protagonists, Bani and Saloni, the lead characters of Kasamh Se and Saath Phere, respectively. And now it's gearing up to keep us glued to our TV set following the tale of one more

damsel in distress, Vidya, in its new show, Banu Main Teri Dulhan. The promos have already started airing on Zee's channel bouquet.

Produced by Shakutalam Films, the show might replace the programme Tumhari Disha in the 8 pm slot. Tellychakkar.com sources reveal that the story revolves around a girl-next-door (Vidya), who is tricked into marriage due to a commitment made by her elders. She is unaware that the groom (Sagar) is mentally challenged and gets to know this on the eve of her marriage. However, she does tie the knot and is then trapped in the web of commitments. The story epitomises her struggle to find a place for herself in her sasural and help her husband become normal.

To make matters worse, Sagar's step sister, Kamya, makes life hell for Vidya. She doesn't want her brother to gain anything from their father's property. In fact according to sources, Kamya's the one behind Sagar's ill-health.

A newcomer from Bhopal, Divyanka Tripati has been zeroed in to play the protagonist Vidya, while the abnormal husband will be portrayed by another newcomer, Sharad Malhotra, from Kolkatta. The evil vixen, Kamya will be essayed by Kamya Punjabi of Astitva fame and Rajendra Gupta will play the father.

Now will the new damsel in distress, Vidya help the channel climb newer heights? Lets wait and watch!

sagar and vidiya

After Shweta-Cezzane, Shweta-Ronit, Neha Mehta-Ajay Krish, Pulkit Samrat-Mouni Roy, this time it is Vidya (Divyanka Tripathi) and Sagar (Sharad Malhotra), the lead pair of Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, who have joined the ever-increasing list of actors sparring on the sets. But this couple is an exception. They actually enjoy fighting with each other.

Neeraj Sachdev, supervising producer, says that he is tired of their fights. "Divyanka and Sharad have known each other for a long time. On the sets, they behave like a pair of immature college students. They love to fight with each other and often hunt for excuses to fight when they don't have a genuine reason to do so. They keep teasing each other, or playing pranks on one another. Sharad calls her ‘Dholki’ while Divyanka calls him ‘Kaddu’. Now, that is unprofessional on the sets. They keep hitting each other with whatever they can lay their hands on. Sometimes things even get a little aggressive and we get worried about their safety. I have had to intervene and stop them from fighting several times." When quizzed about the alleged fights, Divyanka confesses. "Sharad is a good friend. We like to tease each other, may be we go overboard at times. But unlike Sharad, I don't get hurt easily. A few days ago, we were fighting and our director scolded us for behaving badly. He told us that there is expensive equipment all around and we might get hurt. But I don't think, we can ever stop fighting."

chachi and shalu !!

Actress Renuka Bondre who plays the over-dressed chachi in Banoo Mein Teri Dulhann is a truly sporting woman. Renuka, who is at the receiving end of all the banter on the sets of Dulhann, is well-known for taking all the ribbing in good sprit. This is also perhaps the reason why the unit members of Dulhann love having a good laugh at Renuka's expense and never miss a chance at pulling her leg. Once, the unit members even recorded her snoring while she was sleeping.

A few days back, while shooting for a rainy karva chauth sequence, all the unit members of the show got another chance to have a good laugh at her expense. For, Renuka didn't know that it would be a rain sequence and so didn't bother to use water-proof make-up. As a result, her trademark loud make-up ran all over her face when she was drenched in water for the scene.

Kamya Punjabi who plays Sindhura in Dulhann recalls, "It was a karva chauth sequence, when the protagonist sees the full moon with her husband and it starts raining. As Renuka (chachi) wears loud make-up, the minute the water ran down her face, so did her non-water-proof make-up. Her false eyelashes rolled down her cheeks. Renuka was frazzled and began shouting for the camera to stop rolling. But, the production unit continued rolling the camera just to trouble her. As I was standing next to her, I tried hard to control myself. I finally could not stop myself and burst out laughing. Other people from the unit also started laughing on seeing Renuka's state."

"We also went on to record Renuka when she was sleeping in the middle of the shots. The best part about Renuka is that she is a sport and takes all our jokes in a positive manner. Thanks to chachi, we always have a blast on the sets nowadays," Kamya adds.

An amused Renuka says, "Oh, I have become a laughing stock for everybody! But, it's all in good spirit. During the rainy karva chauth sequence, when my make up went haywire, even I was trying hard to control my laughter. Although, I was supposed to be angry in the scene, I too started laughing as soon as the shot got over. My face became dark due to heavy make up going wrong. The glue of my false eyelashes came undone and they got stuck on my lips! As if that was not enough, my co-stars recorded me sleeping and asked another person to snore loudly in the background. They then insisted that it was me who was snoring loudly."

When asked about how she reacts to this teasing, she says, "I take it very lightly. They're all youngsters, and it is important to have fun while we are working."

Is Renuka into heavy make-up in real life as well? "Not at all. I never use make-up when I am not shooting. People find it difficult to recognise me without my make-up. The make-up is only essential for the character of chachi in the serial, who's an over-the-top character," she says.
