The cast and crew of Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan were amused when they witnessed a big fight between Twinkle Bajpai aka Laxmi and director Rajan Shahi. Apparently, the actress disappeared from the sets on the pretext of changing her costumes. Needless to say, there was a delay in the schedule as Twinkle chose to report late. When she finally came, the director sounded her off by calling her 'unprofessional' and 'irresponsible'. Talking about the incident Shahi says, "Since we work around multiple sets, we have to adjust our shoots accordingly. On that day I wanted to finish Twinkle's scenes at one go. So I asked her to change her costumes in the next one-and-a-half hour, which I think is more than enough for her. But she did not turn up and nobody knew where she was. Later, I came to know that she was busy giving some interviews and therefore, couldn't report on time. I lost my cool and strictly told her that this kind of unprofessional behaviour would not be entertained in the future."
Instead of being apologetic the actress decided to hurl words at the director. She blamed the designer for doing a shoddy job with her costumes. She says, "I had some problem with the costumes, so I was late. But, my director did not understand and yelled at me. It was the fault of the designers. I tried to give him an explanation, but he was not in a mood to listen to me. Moreover, I could not say no to that news channel, who wanted to interview me."
However, the next day the duo ditched their hard feelings and resumed their friendly relations. "Next day, when I found Twinkle crying, I had to forgive her. Her conduct is otherwise good on the sets and we all pamper her. But even she should realise the basic requirements on the sets. We shoot under terrible pressure to create an episode bank and the shooting shouldn't get stalled at any cost," says Shahi.

Good to see the two patch things up!
I think that the director should have cut her a bit of slack though; it's not like she was being a diva, she was doing an interview so it was still work right?
Thanks for posting the article

Twinkle Bajpai: From Lucknow to the city of dreams!
Ma… she decided to take to acting. In Betiyaan she plays the youngest daughter (Lakshmi) the unwanted girl child in the house but grows up to be a strong willed woman who stands up for all the women in the house.
"People told me to try for acting while I was participating in Sa Re Ga…I gave auditions and got selected for the show. And I wanted to be a part of this industry besides I don't look bad so I thought of giving it a shot. I relate myself to Lakshmi's character and deep down I am sensitive to all things that are going wrong around us in society. Also, my family has always supported me in what ever I have wanted to do," says the pretty young gal who's still basking in the glory of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge.
So, what's more difficult for the budding actor is it singing or acting?
"If you have mastered both the art forms then both are easy or else both sound difficult. I am a singer first and will continue to sing . Acting is new for me and here all my co-stars are helping me at every step. In fact, at this stage I am looking at television as an opportunity to learn and grow. Later, I'd love to experiment with films,"smiles Twinkle who is now busy shooting almost twelve hours a day and

faces the camera with much ease.
When queried on the recent controversies concerning the show, the actor brushed it aside claiming she's clueless about it. Twinkle will soon also start working on an album with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa music.
Coming to Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge, what was the entire experience like?
"It's been a great experience and a platform to showcase my talent. Sa Re…stage meant everything to me and I owe my success to Zee and Sa Re Ga and now also Creative Eye," points out Twinkle who belongs to a musical family ( both her parents are music teachers in Lucknow). Currently the peppy actor is residing in Mumbai with her mother.
Signing off she confidently says,"I am not nervous but just a little anxious about the show. But then on second thoughts, there's no success without hard work".
Well said Twinkle!
kajri
Recently actor Jasveer Kaur was sexually harassed when she was traveling to work. Jasveer who plays Kajri in Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan (Zee TV) as headed to the sets located in Chandivli. She was travelling in an auto rickshaw as her car had broken down. Just as she stepped out of the auto, a man accosted her and passed vulgar comments. Jasveer didn't take it lying down and started fighting. The matter was sorted when the production team stepped in and handled the issue.
Jasveer recalls, "I had just stepped out of the rickshaw when I heard a man say something offensive. I couldn't make out his exact words but I knew that he wasn't just passing a casual remark. I asked him to repeat what he said. He looked unapologetic. I lost my cool and started yelling at him. Aarif Sheikh (head of production) saw me and came running up to me. Aarif also beat him up."
Was Jasveer harassed because she was dressed in an attire of a cowgirl? "I had an audition that day and I didn't have the time to change into casual clothes. So I went to the sets in the costume. The man could have passed obscene remarks on seeing my unusual costume," she explains.
Jasveer adds, "But how can anyone pass comments on women? What pleasure do they get? I have often faced such situations and I have never taken it lightly. Some men just start passing lewd comments on seeing women," Jasveer says with disgust.
Aarif Sheikh says, "I knew Jasveer was just a few minutes away from the sets because we had spoken a few minutes ago. I was expecting her to reach the sets any moment. When I saw her at the gate, I rushed to help her."
