Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban


The film adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s third HP book is full of mystery, magic and mayhem. Director Alfonso Cuaron has brilliantly explored on the tumultuous transition from childhood to adulthood.

It is the summer holiday. I liked this movie for it’s beautiful depiction of the environment surrounding Hogwarts. Lupin’s classes of transforming shape-shifting Boggarts into hilarity really amused me. Harry’s ride on Buckbeak is amazing. The performance of all the young actors is outstanding.

What I didn’t like was the loose plot. This movie is a huge disappointment for the fans of the book and many errors have crept in as compared to the third book.

i liked prisoner of azkaban mayb coz i hed liked d buk...mayb coz i was dying 2 see harrys godfather...mayb coz lupin was 1 reasonable defence again dark arts teacher....

but ya as u said it had many loop holes...plus it was a very fast movie..my mum who have not read d buk was completely at sea while watching d movie...
d only thing she cud make out was dat harry was in big trouble from a mad mass killer hu turns out 2 b gud...nothing more nothing less...

i in particular didnt like d abrupt change in surroundings......u noe suddenly hogwarts changed...grounds changed...uniforms vanished...n blah blah...

but it was an awesome movie for hp reader fans...i liked d animation...dementors wer beautifully done...hippogriff was awesome..n ya dat ride was 1 of d enchamting things abt d movie...sirius was aweeeeesome...;)

all in all a gud watch 4 hp luvers...........:)

hey nice review anku.......

i was somehow very disappointed with the movie......i was expecting a lot from it ......like natashu said it was very fast....but on the other side sirius and lupin were amazng but hermione stole the show with the punch she had gived malfoy,it was superb and the time travelling thing was awsome .
The way harry's says(in the climax) "how can a person be in two places at once ron" and ron's expression .....it was amazing!!!!!

the movie was not at its best but anything for HP......i enjoyed watching it and i still do.....

The movie was good but it din't work out coz it was not Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban.It was Harry Potter and the
shreiking shack.

Well but there were good scenes in the movie too.I too love the scene when Harry says "How can one person be
in two places at the same time".And the punch was the highlight of the movie.I also liked the part where Harry's
leaving the Dursleys and when Vernon says "You have nowhere to go",Harry says"Any place is better than here"

The dementors were a bit of a disappointment though.And cool review Anku

My father had taken my sister and me to this movie for the first time and to tell you the truth ,i had no idea what i was heading for .I never read the book before and had only heard about it and looked at the books in the school library . My expectations were extremely low as I always wondered if Harry Potter books were over-hyped because my friends fought for those ,i never actually imagined that soon i would be one of them..........!

How-ever after watching the movie it did make me a Harry Potter movie fan. And needless to say - this continues to remain my favourite of HP series. That brings to a point here.... the effect of expectations over a movie. True, expectations reduce joy.I was spell bound .The next day i made it a point to read the 1st & 2nd book.

Without going into the story I would certainly say Chris Columbus churns out a perfect pot-pourri of emotions, suspense and magic, delivering something appealing to all ages.Even my parents enjoyed the movie. I was a little confused in the beginning cause i didnt know what was happening ,an old man with a long beard carrying an infant with a scar,a cat turning into a lady and a giant riding a small bike in the sky!!!!! But as the time passed and the movie went on i was on the edge of my seat with my mouth open ......:D .
I loved it!!

Every character brought to life on screen has done justice and leave an impression on you. Particularly notable performances by Emma Watson and Alan Rickman.

The Quidditch game is picturised amazingly. The wizard's chess is treat to eyes.The scene when harry gets his first wand was fab.....!!

Well my story is kinda the same.I was the least bit interested in Harry Potter and din't even go to watch the
first movie.Then when the second movie was released,my cousins forced me to come with them.I went

finish his second year but he knew that Harry would be living in hell for one year.So that's what I liked the most.

2 hours of endless magic, roller coaster ride of pure enchanting emotions, d first time crushes, d shy ideas to invite girls for d ball dance, d three amazing tasks, d climax and d rise of d dark.....and u dont have anything else to complain....
d audience after d movie is shook to d last fibre wid such a brilliant work from all d respective actors....

yes GOF is essentially d best of harry potter flicks till now.....

d movie tho has a no. of flaws, all of dem r cancelled out by excellent scenes..which r exactly d way v picturised while reading dem...

if u r a harry potter fan...den watch d movie... its fast..its 2 d pt..its amazing......need i say more...........

all dat i cud see were those huge bushes ( or whtever u call those grassy walls) falling down and harry trying to dodge them !!!

overall .. GOF was better than the other three movies ...

but my major grouses are Mr. Overenthusiatic jumping jack dumbledore and the less screen time of the other characters apart from the trio ....
i agree that gonagall , fred and george , weasleys etc are "secondary" characters
but still .... they are terribly underused in the movie .... and snape ... ghod .. he was hardly even present !!!

Young Harry Potter has to lead a hard life: His parents have died in a car crash when he was still a baby, and he is being brought up by his Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia. For some reason unbeknownst to the bespectacled ten-year-old, the Dursleys let him live in the small chamber under the stairs, and treat him more like vermin than like a family member. His fat cousin Dudley, the Dursley's real son, keeps bothering Harry all the time. On his eleventh birthday, Harry Potter finally receives a mysterious letter from a certain Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, telling him that he is chosen as one of the future students of that supposedly renowned school. Hagrid, the gigantic man who brought the letter, finally introduces Harry into the real circumstances of his life: His parents were a wizard and a witch, they were killed by the evil wizard Voldemort protecting him. hey how did u ppl like the movie harry potter nd the order of phoenix......i watched it ......wow.....just awesum!!!!!!...felling like going n watching again........so maagical!!!!!!....the last battle was soooooo thrilling!!!!!
the ppl who have not watched the movie go n watch it,u cannot spend ur weekend in a better way!!!!!!!:) :)
