Sharad Kelkar’s former girlfriend creates a ruckus on the sets of Jeena Isika Naam Hai

What could have been one of the happiest days in his life, ended as a nightmare for actor Sharad Kelkar and wife Keerti, when the couple was shooting for Jeena Isika Naam Hai. A woman named Poonam Sukhija stormed on the sets of the show and claimed to be Sharad’s ex-girlfriend. She expressed her anguish about being ignored on the show, especially when Keerti and Sharad were being interviewed. She expressed her desire to be a part of the show.
When contacted, the lady in question, Poonam confirmed the news. She said, "Yes, when I came to know that Sharad and Keerti would be featured on the show, I decided to visit the sets of Jeena Isika Naam Hai. I realised that the research team was incompetent and ignored facts, that happened only two years ago."
She continued, "Both Sharad and I studied together in Gwalior and came to Mumbai in 2002. Those days, Sharad wasn't earning much and did not have much work in hand. I used to support him morally and financially. We were madly in love and got engaged on his mother's birthday on February 16, 2004. In the mean time, Sharad started getting good television offers and I was very happy for him. Few know, that even I was selected for a Balaji show, but Sharad would not let me work. So, I quit. As he was climbing the ladder of success, his family demanded a heavy dowry from me. When we couldn't, Sharad left me for Keerti. It was not that Keerti was unaware of our relationship."
But, given an option, would she like to get him back in life? "He is my first love and I can go back to him any time," she added.
Sharad Kelkar said, "I am not denying the fact that Poonam and I were in a relationship. But, as we were having personal differences, we decided to part ways."
Keerti on the other hand added, "I think Poonam is just trying to malign us and in turn hog the limelight. But we have nothing against her."
When contacted Ashvini Yardi , programming head Zee TV, refused to comment on the issue.
