The incident at Guwahati was one very shameful event to happen. When we call ourselves the hub of cricket & every country in the world envy us as cricket is more of a religion here, we come up with this kind of incident and that too front of a major touring side. I wouldn't consider this as the most shameful incident as there have been tonnes of other incidents by our fellow cricket lovers around the country.

I would like to categorize and discuss who is the real culprit?

BCCI
Can we blame BCCI for in the first place alloting a match to such a lower-rated ground. In abroad grounds are rated and top touring sides will only play matches on the best venues and lower touring sides on smaller & newer venues.

The Local Board
In this case the Assam Cricket officails had good sence to insure the match & also planned to pay back the spectators. But in Chennai, couple of months back, when it rained the first word from the association was we will not payback the tickets, dont u think its bad.

Also the local body must take care nothing goes out of hand, they must plan for it, not end up planning how many will be at the presentation dias (its awful 15-20 people on a presentation party of just to present one man of the match award)

Security
We see security personnel in hundreds and yet people are able to take in bottles and cigarette lighters which are totally banned. How can this security lapse be explained, also when a small section of the crowd got unruly why did it take the security personnel time to react until it went out of hand.

Spectators
Though last but main cause of concern, what can one do if mother nature wants to rain. You cant show your anger on her. How can people be so stupid, I understand they waited long for that day but it wasnt anyones fault. There are umpires and they know the rules and they have done something accordingly. Dont you think spectators are getting too passionate, they want their players to perform perform perform. If not they are booed, bottles thrown at them else go paint the players house black? I wouldnt be suprised if some player ends up dropping a catch soon, being murdered ouside the ground.

I feel all(elements) have equal part to play. If your opinion differs, lets discuss...
