My vote is for Stephen Fleming as he is an inspirational leader & has taken his team to greater heights which comprises of many small time players and no superstars as such. They have performed well against top teams consistently and always been a 'thorn in the flesh' for the Aussies. Of late might be we havent heard much of them, but surely Kiwis under Fleming are a good team.

The Aussies are so strong that anyone can captain them, but even though being world beaters Ricky Pontings captainship was questionable during the last Ashes and the latest 424 debacle at the Wanderers.

Inzi, is a great player & can play only for himself, if he plays well Pakisthan wins well, as he has not been able to bring out the best from others around.

Dravid leads a good bunch of players and I always feel Ganguly was a better captain than him.

Greame Smith is an aggressive captain and who is playing a vital role in moulding the future of South African cricket.

One name missing is Micheal Vaughan, though his appearance has been very less on the cricket field these days, the way he lead his team during the Ashes was really great.

While i agree with you on most of your analysis about the other captains across the world... I am sorry but your statement about Dravid is surely contradictory according to me.

When you say that Dravid leads a good bunch of players... He leads a good bunch coz he is good at making them do their best! Dravid sure has his flaws but then one of the traits of a good captain is that he should be able to inspire and also... must be dependable! Both of these traits clearly visible in Dravid! :mad:

You an ardent Dravid fan? As a player, Dravid is great & dependable... India has also been doing well under him, let the tough times come then we will know his calibre as a captain. But there is no arguing the performance & discipline of others around is making his job as a captain easier.

Anyway as a player I admire Dravid... :)

I prefer Aussie captain Ricky;) . B'coz his last year performence and captaincy was too good. But Indian Captain Dravid also seems to be good:D , According to the player category Draivd looks Great but he has to improve his capataincy more:( !!!

ricky ponting is the best as he has a good team and personal record as a captain. and a good captain is one who wins and also leads from the front. anyway dravid too is getting there.
