I need you. By Amy Allen

I think of you from time to time
wondering if i ever cross your mind.
ever since you went away
i know that it wont be the same
why did you move away?
when i just need you here to stay
i know it wont be the same without you
i want things to go back to how it was
when it was just me and you
didnt have a care in the world
but now im paranoid
now im lost
wont you just come back?
because i need you now more then ever.

The Desire to Leave the Shore By Natalie R

I fear we will spend our whole lives
Building ships that will never sail,
Plant our feet upon the shoreline
Turn our faces from the gale.
The sandy grains and broken shells
Are litter at our feet
We shield the longing to live our days
Where sea and heaven meet.
We will never hear the waves lap
Against the wooden hull
Or watch the flight and hear the cry
Of the free and sea-born gull.
I long to take your fingertips
Pull you in the swirling tide
Follow me deeper into the surf
The diamond stars will be our guide.

Cries from a Broken Heart By Blackheartslove

My heart aches
My soul screams
You pushed me out
All I wanted was to help

A thousand tears and more were spilled
Just like I promised you
You know just how to make me smile
Still yet just how to make me cry

Baby you're so beautiful
You're perfect in every way
But you can't see past your own tears
You can't see through the pouring rain

So many people care
So many cry for you
We're standing right behind you
Ready to catch you if you fall

Baby every time you hurt yourself
It hurts me ten times more
Not only because I love you
But because I've been there too

I see where you are headed
I know the path you've chosen
I can see the end result
And I won't let it go that far

I just can't sit by and watch
I love you too much for that
I just can't stand here and wait
While my heart breaks in two

I wish that I could end your tears
Before you drown in them
Hold on baby please-- for me
I love you-- forever and always

And in that exact moment...By Vulnerable

Oh no, not more.
It's hard to think when you read that story 100 times before.
And something here's so wrong, and I can't handle it again alone,
drowning in your eyes, slipping through your fingers...
I'm losing my faith, you're walking away,
I'm just another lonely night wrapped in shiny paper.

To scared to scream, dreaming myself away,
waiting for the future
to shine me with her days.
And you took red lipstick from my mouth,
got me blinded with your eyes.
Now I'm runnig backt to past,
hugging tightly yesterday.

You're erasing everything,
every word and every kiss,
putting my name in the past,
happy that it had not last.

But today when I saw you,
everything had sense,
I'm again just a lonely girl
hopelessly waiting for romance...

Silence of a Moment By Amanda

The bird magically fluttered through the air,
like a butterfly; so soft; so swift,
hovered over the floew,
like a bee,
then soared high above my head,
with it's beautiful blue stomach,
facing the ground.

"Cricket, cricket."
is heard from the long blades of grass,
the sounds of kids playing in the park,
"You're it!"
from the pond frogs are heard,
"Ribbit, Ribbit!"

Grasshoppers leaping across the yard,
trees lightly swaying in the wind,
the brightly coloured leaves of the large oak tree,
floating to the ground,
a single sparkling white snowflake,
drifts to the ground,
the first snowflake of the year.

As the snowflake hits the frozen ground,
all goes silent for a moment.

Baby I love the way you make me mad By Liarr

I just love the way you smile at me what Im mad.
How you get a kick out of pissing me off.
My hearts hurts but you dont care,
You just sit back laugh and stare
All I do is cry for you
I cant do this anymore
Id die for you
Yet you dont understand
Baby Id do anything for you
Yet you still dont care
Ill let my anger, jealousy, sadness all sink in,
Until I cant bare it,
For then Ill take my own life,
This I swear it.

Transfixed By Marina Bradaric

Silently screaming
from all your deceiving
how can i still love you
you've turned my blood blue
aimlessly falling
as you keep on calling me
i can't resist you
and your evil kiss
that sucks out my soul
now i'm out of control
and you're reeling me in
with your shameless grin
feeding from my pain
tugging at these chains
i can't look away
your eyes make me stay
choking on your breath
dirty on my chest
never shown mercy
i'm crawling to your feet
begging to free me
but you can't even see me

My best friend. By Emily

My best friend.
Was a smart girl.
Fell in love with the wrong kidds.
And gave her a whirl.

She loved this kidd.
And he was great.
And they were in love.
I sweat he was her soul mate.

But after nine months.
He got bored.
And left her.
She lost her world.

A best friend to so many.
Through her heart away.
And now she sad.
Every minute of every day.

So with a razor and a knife.
She writes her notes.
And gives god her life.

As her mother finds her.
Her dead body on the floor.
She blames herself
You hear a cry in that house once more.

You pushed me away By Liarr

You pushed me away
Pull me back in
And push me again

I distanced myself from you
Now you try pulling me back
But baby not this time

You lost my trust
You lost my belief in you

You hurt me for the last time
Because baby I have become numb

I sit in silence,
Thinking nothing,
Feeling nothing
Oh, boy how this is your fault

Some pain just doesnt fade
Some pain I just cant forget
You hurt me so bad babe.
Its not going to go away

The 'other girl' By ..::Angel of your darkness::..

I saw you there
Your hands on her waist
Kissing her gently
I could tell you liked the taste

Your fingers ran through her hair
As I stood dazed
I knew no sound I could make
Would ever break that loving gaze

In the shadows I watched
As the sun rose behind you both
As the dawn grew colder
I watched you hold her close

I ran back to our home
Forgetting I'd left the key in the door
All I wanted to do was forget
Everything I saw

You walked in a few hours later
Just before it was completely light
I felt you climb into bed
And reach to hold me tight

I turned around to look at you
And I couldn't help but cry
Because the look of love you gave her
Was not in your eyes

You asked what was wrong
I said I'd just had a fight with my mum
I couldn't bring myself to say
That I knew what you'd done

I carried on day by day
Trying so hard to forget
But my life became meaningless
Full of heart break and regret

And till this day you still see her
I know deep down you do
But I can never let you go
Because I'm too in love with you

You were my everything
My life ,my world
And it all shattered
When I realised I was just the 'other girl'

The Shadow Of Ignorance By RainbowSlider

I tried to avoid you because I didn't want to feel your pain.
I fell victim to my happiness knowing that I'd see you again.
I let others wait on you and inquired how that you fared.
I watched in the shadows because I was ignorant of care.
I was high and mighty; Thinking of scripture and verse.
I could see only my view but was blinded by the reverse.

I love...you. By Rebecca

Love of mine,
your lips so sweet.
You voice makes my heart,
skip a beat.
Saying "I love you",
demeaners the power
of the feeling of love,
I have for endless hours.
These words of print,
Could not describe,
the way I feel,
A thousand times.
See the Doves,
Flying over head.
In a pair.
Together, forever
You and I.
Will you love me untill I die?
Will you love me as I cry?
My heart it stings,
kiss it better.
& tell it,
"Together, forever
You & I."

The Tree of Lost Tragedies By Atrum Dominatio Donum ut is Letalis of Regnum

Sitting under a bewildered sky,
Lay a tree of lost tragedies,
A tree of lost causes,
Branching off into my life,
A symbol of my heartache.

My broken heart lay locked away,
At the end of a wilted branch,
Kept safe for the one I loved,
Yet too far for me to reach,
She was the one of my dreams,
She was my everything,
I have never once again,
Found a love quite like hers,
The purest any love can be,
Happily would I bare them;
The burdens of such a blessing,
To experience this purest of love,
For just one time more,
However I know it shall never be,
As only once I was gifted with love,
And the curse of its loss,
Be with forever more.

A broken branch,
Protrudes from what was beautiful,
A representation of the pain caused,
Through my selfish acts of vengeance,
I wished to inflict pain upon those,
Those whod inflected it upon me,
And those who I hold close to me,
Forgiveness was the correct path,
A path I came to ignore,
Thus distancing myself,
From the ones whom I loved,
At first I believed I was helping,
Dealing out my vigilante justice,
To those I thought deserved it,
Not thinking that the kind hearts,
That had been betrayed by them,
Had healed, grown stronger,
And forgiven, as how I should have.

As I lament upon my sorrows,
I bare a heavy burden of regret,
I now see how I should have been,
Though now it be too late,
I have alienated myself,
From the ones who I love,
I have lamented for hours,
Im unable now to find true love,
I have dived so far in depression,
Ive forgotten about spreading my roots,
I should have tried to rekindle,
The love I used to have,
Now, I grow unsure,
Weather I will be the same again,
I think now maybe the time,
To go back to the ground,
To lay on the soil as ashes,
To be remembered as who I am.

Despite all this heartache,
Despite all this pain,
A single leaf grows,
I shall live once again.

Although I wrote the poem, the idea was not my own, Hannah, a very close friend, was the one behind the idea of the poem.

How can it be.... By CutieBear

How do you know when life is good
to me its hard, its not understood
how do you stop a single tear
when thoughts of you become so clear

how is it that life begins so strange
when you cant really see the range
how is it that people can tell you so many lies
but each and every one of them seems to satisfy

how can you tell if life is coming to an end
if life for me is something i dread
how can you asume that everythings great
when i hold in my heart so much hate

Tears Of Sorrow By Rebecca

With tears of sorrow,
I cry my soul.
With years of pain,
through them all I'll go.
I regret my past.
I hope for my future.
I wish to all,
a pleasent torture.
If I smile,
It's only for your pain.
If I laugh...
My wish came true.
I'll laugh all i want.
Day in and Day through.
I'll laugh my way to Hell,
with my cat.
I'll laugh so much,
I'll be going insane.
I'll laugh so much,
I'll grow pot on a plane.

Very strange By Find out who your fri3nds ar3

One day I woke up in a hospital bed,
and I had no idea why I was there
I began to wonder and could not find the stairs
I ran down the hall
trying to find help
but no one was there no one would come for help.
I found a young lady
I asked, "why am I here?"
she said I don't know my dear.
I began to cry, as I walked away
wondering when and what was the time of day.
I felt absolutly fine
then I seen a phone but I didn't have a dime,
I ran to find that lady
Then as I turned the corner I seen a man
His nametag said his name was Raitiey.
I could not pronounce it
but I had no time for it.
I asked him, "Do you have a dime?"
he said, "No, sorry payday ain't til Friday."
I began to wonder once again
How I got here and when.
No one was working, no one was in any rooms
I felt fine I asumed.
I went back to the room I came from
wondering if I was even awake
til a alarm woke me then I knew everything was ok.
I opened my eyes
Hoping for a surprise
I was in my bed all alone
til I heard a phone
My mom was home
I ran to meet her
tell her bout that dream
Then I remembered she drounded last year in a stream
I began to wonder
where all this was coming from
I began to panic
and look at my thumb
I noticed it was cut
I did not know how
It was numb.
I called my dad
after I assured he was alive
He anwsered and said he would come home
was I alright?
I said no, something is wrong
he rushed home to check on me
when he got here he got down on his knees,
I said, "dad what are you doing"
He said son theres something I have to tell you.
I said ok what is it are you dead to?
He said no its just
that dream you had was so... I don't know
I had one just like it
I don't know how we got it?
Its scares me
all we know is that there is you and me!

Love isnt always wat u think it is By PrInCeSs1210

I thought you loved ME
I thought I was your girl and your ONLY girl
SO your telling me that i didn't mean a thing to you
you just once again played with my heart like every other guy i have given it to has done
you didn't care about me.
every time you said you loved me you was lying.
i was never anything special to you.
i was just your back up girl
how could you have done that
what made you think you had the right to treat me like that

Tickets, Bags, And European Men by Shattered_Voice

Here we sit, alone and together
And we try to talk again
But the words don't come
And together we are alone
Until we're back in reality...

I could sit by you forever
And learn no new words to say
I know one word you would never tell
And we share a secret between
I try to explain it through lies...

I could take another walk with you
Down the tracks of the twenty-two
I could look back into blue
And should you forget the greens
We'll be alone right next to us...

I'll have many names for you
I'll someday forget every hue
The ocean and the sky turn blue
And I'll try to remember who I loved
I should remember to forget you...

Though now I walk here alone
The faces still sit by me
I see no love in any eyes
Because all you are is shadows
I never even saw you...

Feeling? By Rebecca

Do my tears bring pain?
Do my bruises make you feel strong?
These lies we live.
What is a life,
if your life can be taken,
at any chance given.
I only cry
if there is a deep feeling of pain.
I am not the type to cry during a movie,
or faint when I get my blood drawn.
Is this the world which I choose to live?
The life I choose to make.
I, the love of my life,
death of my future.
I love to see people cry.
I hate to see them laugh.
If I am crying...
you could say,
I'm in MY happy place

I was beaten.
HARD and FAST.
I was broken,
through years it will last.
If I scream,
let me scream.
I will cry,
untill I die.
Let me die,
in one piece.
Let me be scornful,
in the eyes.........

Cut just a little bit deeper By Hopeless Romance

If you really want out heres your chance! Cut a little deeper and a little harder. Then you will die so much faster. Then i won't have to watch out for you everyday. I'm tired of wondering when will the day come that your going to be gone i'm sick of holding onto my silly thoughts and worries. I have a hard enough time looking out for myself i don't need to watch out for you too. If you really feel guilty enough then go ahead and die make that stupid mistake. I don't want to hear your lies i know you want out of here and your going to do anything to get your way. I hope that you make the right decision, because once you choose to be out of this world there is no turning back. I'm done trying to change your mind and trying to keep you locked up. I don't need that burden. Just make your choice because i've made mine. The only thing I want you to keep in mind is that there are people here that love you. This is my final goodbye....

The Gift By FountainsOfBlood

I force myself
To look inside a mirror
See the broken girl
Staring back
I'm so ashamed
Of this, thing...
The shadow
Of my former self
Smashing the glass
It falls to pieces
Like everything
In my small life
Just want it all over
For it to be finished
(But it will never end)
You sacrificed your life
For me to live mine
It would only be mean
To end this game
And all I ever wanted
Was for you to hear this;
I'm so afraid
Of the gift
You gave me
I don't belong here
And I'm alone
I hate the lie of a life
I'm living
I ran out of reasons
To believe in me
Question is...
Why did you ?

Roller Coaster Love By Donielle

Up and Down
I just can't take You
Start off slow
and it speeds up
Then there's a big
drop first but it
Wasn't that bad
It all works out
But the loops is the
Worst........
Rollercoaster
It's like love
Love goes up and down
And has it's swerves
and Loops........
You start off slow
And easy but the
Tension begins to build
Up and the there's the
First fight which is
The first big drop
but then its all over.....
The worst part is the
Loops of love hat makes
your stomach turn
all over the place then
your ride is finally over
love is just like a
Rollercoaster
it can't control it self
somebody esle is handling
the controls

As i lie awake thinking of you
i think of the things you do

you hold me close and tight
the way you make me feel safe at night

your like a street light
in the middle of the night

i just love the way you hold me so warm
when you hold me with your arms

it is gentle like no one else
but yet you carry my heart in a bulse

your touch is so smooth to my skin
its like a layer so thin

the way your lips are like silk
it taste as good as cold milk

with the stars dancing between us
it is so layole with trust

i feel immortal when i am with you
its the way you have no clue

i felt a spark
i quess it was a mark

you are like a bright beam
as i lie in my bed i ask is it a dream!!!

My anger fills me full.

When I look to God...
even HE shuns me down.
So I hang my head down low.
I try hard not to grin.
I try for hells sake,
Even Satan won't let me in.

When I hang my head low.
Please just let me sigh.
I am sad and lonely though.
I too, don't wonder why.
I leave my feelings be,
cause I have challenged them before...

I lost my battle...
my emotion took over me...

Don't Know How By ShadowsOnHerFace

I'm again letting go,
Of what could be,
I just want something,
To make sense to me.

Everything keeps changing,
I keep falling apart,
I need to find a way,
Out of this broken heart.

I'm living in a daze,
As I walk around,
I'm finding it hard,
To keep my feet on the ground.

I can't find my way,
To where I need to go,
I'm learning about things,
I'd rather never know.

I'm going places,
I don't wanna be,
I even feel alone,
With people surrounding me.

I just don't get it,
I can't understand,
Nobody is there,
There to take my hand.

And I keep saying,
What I always say,
I can't get it all out,
Can't describe that I'm not ok.

And I keep sinking,
Keep slipping away from it all,
And I don't know what to do,
Don't know how to catch this fall.

Tired Now By ShadowsOnHerFace

Sick of living the same day,
Singing the same song,
Tired of feeling totally alone,
And longing to be gone.

I hate these feelings,
And how they kill inside,
Don't wanna show my face,
I just wanna hide.

My emotions are strong,
My pain cuts deep,
When I'm by myself,
I just seem to weep.

I get lost in thinking,
If only that could be,
The memories resurface,
And take over me.

I miss so much,
And everything I had,
It's all wrong, just wrong,
And it hurts so bad.

I'm screaming the words,
Wishing someone could hear me,
And nobody can tell,
But I long to be free.

All of my dreams,
What I need is gone,
And I've waited,
I've held on for too long.

And it was supposed to get better,
But nobody told me when,
Am I meant to struggle more?
And break over and over again.

Because I'm tired of it now,
So sick of it all,
And I'm crashing,
I'm soon gonna fall.

Because I can't do this,
I just don't wanna know,
I can't do this,
And I'm longing to let go.

I Will Be Seeing You By Rachel

Im missing you
and all the things that we do
Im missing you
I wonder if you miss me too

I was listening to music today
but all I listened to was one song
I played it over and over again
it seemed too short, I wanted it to be long

it reminded me
of us so much
each time it played
I felt your touch

I almost cried
when the voices in the song
repeated your exact words
it felt so right that it almost felt wrong

I wanna be with you so bad
come hold me in my time of need
and believe me when I say
youd be doing a good deed

At night I lie awake
just picturing your face
and my heart starts to beat
in a frighteningly faster pace

Im missing you
I dont know what to do
Im missing you
Im feeling lonely too

But then I remembered
the last thing you said...
Babe keep your head up high
and look forward to the things ahead

cause nothings gunna happen
Ill be here when you get back
and my love for you
wont ever start to slack

Ill be good
I hope that you will too
I already miss your smile
but hun...Ill be seeing you:)

When The Heart Breaks By Jordyn

The body so numb and hollow,
finding it difficult to swallow.

Breathing slowing almost to a stop,
badly bruised, about to drop.

Wrists are cut, waiting to die,
this wouldn't be the first time you've seen me try.

So very empty, all alone,
shirt all wet, the bloods been shown.

My heart is broken don't you see?
How could you have done this to me?

The Game By Rebecca

I like to play this special game.
Forever I am bound.
I run, and jump, and skip, and play.
Yet it never makes a sound.
I can never make myself stop thinking
Oh, how loosing is a sin!
The ones that do not know that game,
are the only ones that win.
So play but do not think your playing
because loosing is a shame!
and now that you have pondered verses.
YOU JUST LOST THE GAME.

God's Garden By Robert Frost

God made a beauteous garden
With lovely flowers strown,
But one straight, narrow pathway
That was not overgrown.
And to this beauteous garden
He brought mankind to live,
And said: "To you, my children,
These lovely flowers I give.
Prune ye my vines and fig trees,
With care my flowerets tend,
But keep the pathway open
Your home is at the end."

Then came another master,
Who did not love mankind,
And planted on the pathway
Gold flowers for them to find.
And mankind saw the bright flowers,
That, glitt'ring in the sun,
Quite hid the thorns of av'rice
That poison blood and bone;
And far off many wandered,
And when life's night came on,
They still were seeking gold flowers,
Lost, helpless and alone.

O, cease to heed the glamour
That blinds your foolish eyes,
Look upward to the glitter
Of stars in God's clear skies.
Their ways are pure and harmless
And will not lead astray,
Bid aid your erring footsteps
To keep the narrow way.
And when the sun shines brightly
Tend flowers that God has given
And keep the pathway open
That leads you on to heaven.

What Is Love? By Jordyn

What is true love?
Is it as white and pure as a dove?

Will it be there all the time?
Is it known as a rhyme?

Can it heal you when your sick?
Does it hit you like a brick?

Everyone needs someone to love!
Question is, are they sent from above?

all this pain i tried to hide...

set all my pains free
i tried to cut my veins
to take away all my pains.....

and Ur the reason i go through this
and Ur the 1 i ain't gonna miss

Jason's Poem By Jordyn

Love is so very stupid,
there is no such thing as cupid.

Why do I have these feelings?
Why can't they be blank like the ceiling?

To see you there would be torture,
like a rotten apple in an orchid.

My heart is broken, I fell the pain.
you couldn't love me, it's a shame.

I really want to be with you,
why couldn't you want to be with me too?

My Porposel By 2BEEZIE4U

Ill drive to her house
while she's sleeping
ill play with her curly hair
till she wakes up
her morning coffee will be ready
we will jump in my car
play our favorite songs
go out for breakfast
when the place is still closed
people will stand outside
waiting for the breakfast place to open
we'll take a walk instead of drive
when people look at us
ill hold her hand and kiss her longer
we will sit on a bench
watching sail boats come in and out
ill hold her hand tightly
ill whisper these words
i remember the night we met
to scared to talk
we started to talk about an hour after
i wrote you a note
can i please have your email
when i added you
you went home
that night we've had the best relationship ever
i remember that night
you wanted pictures of me
trusted you lots and gave you all of them
the next day you came to my house
and show en me what you done
or what about that night
we went to the fireworks
i met your friend
on our way home
i held your hand
i was nervous
wasn't sure if you'd hold my hand
that night you kissed me
in front of your house
our secret handshake
you fell in love with
how we talked about getting tattoos together
those words we whispered
always and forever we will be
as we sit here watching the water
as we sit here hearing the boats
i love you soo deeply lots
i want no i need
you in my life day and night
the sun and clouds
to the moon and stars
take this ring treasure you and me forever
marry me

Picture Day By Luv Shelbz luv

I stand in line on this day
To have my picture taken
I am not having a picture perfect way

Now it is my turn
After my long wait
I fake a smile and move on

I am sad and side
As many can see
Because of the tear, stained eyes

My mascara has run
Run away from my eyes
My make-up is ruined which isn't a surprise

That was my last picture
Forever and today
I go home and there I stay
in the blood stained sheets

Blank of Darkness
Cleanlyness of light
Love is fear
My life is in Danger
I see the light coming closer
I am not afraid,
I know I have been loved and hated.
The type of love that makes you want to die
and the type of hatred that makes you want to live.
I understand Humans far to well,
I know we live only to die,
we die only to be moarned by loved ones,
My death is going to be apreciated by many,
moarned by few, and that doesn't bother me one bit

I'm watching the tears fade
but its getting so hard to let go

how was i to know
you'd leave me feeling less then hole
and how was i to know
at the end of the day
id still love u

you're burned under my skin
every time the wind blows
it takes me in
and every time the tears fall
my heart just burns a little more
how was i to know
things would turn out like this
and how was i to know
you'd leave me feeling less then hole

i grab a hold
but theres nothing to hold onto
I'm watching the tears fade
but its getting so hard to let go
my world is spinning and i see the light
I'm afraid to let go
because theres nothing inside to keep me alive..

LOST By Aaron Deevers

I feel a fright
I feel that night will not end
I see the moon its so bright
I see shadows moving
I feel afraid
I am lost in this forest
I want to go home
I cant see where home is
I feel a fright
I feel its closer now
I can hear steps
I can hear voices
I think they are people
I see light now
I hear my name
I feel I am safe now
I can go home now
I can yes I can
I see an officer
I hear my family
I can thank the volunteers
I feel a fright no more

Hoping, hoping By Rikki

I will never stop hoping for a time
When we can just leave this all behind
There's just too much pain and agony
C'mon, let's run away, just you and me

Let's forget about our indecent past
And look forward to a time that will last
A time just for us, all alone and at peace
And all the sorrows of yesterday will cease.

Oh, how I wish that this would come true
But my wishes will only hurt me and you
Cuz they've locked you up and tossed the key
Not knowing the hurt and pain it's caused me.

I just want to see your beautiful brown eyes
Will I even see you before one of us dies?
I have to, I must, no matter what it takes
And soon too, before my heart really breaks.

Next time By Robin for batman

He sits alone in the dark
and is deafened by the sound

he feels her breath on his neck
even though shes not around

he closes his eyes and sees her face
and starts to go insane

her cheeks are red, his arms are empty
and his heart is full of pain

what spell does she have over him
he wonders what it was

could it be destiny
or is it just because

he thinks of how right now
they can only be friends

and then he starts to wonder
if his heart will ever mend

she could have been his flower
and he could have been her sun

another time another place
two souls could have been one.......

I wish you knew By Brittany

I wish You knew,
That even though I'm a snot I love you
When I talk back it's my way of saying thank you
I don't mean to hurt you
It's how I say I love you

You give me everything I ever want
My needs are before yours
You don't get a simple thank you
But I hope you still know I love you

You put up with my drama
Not a word is said
You just listen
And I love you for that

What you do is for the best
I may not seem thankful but I really am
You make me mad and I storm off
But soon I realize you are right

You don't take me serious
You're there when I need you
But that's what parents are for
And I love you for that

I may not say it but I really do
Mom and Dad I love more than anything
I'm thankful for your gifts
I may not show it but I love you for all that!

Love is gone By Aaron Deevers

I wish I could move on
I miss you more than ever
I can not stand that you are gone
The first time in 2 years I see you
I hear you are pregnant now
I wish I could turn time back
I am lost now
My first love
You gave me my first kiss
You gave me your heart
But I could not keep a hold
I feel I should fight for your love once again
But I won't
You have your life now
You deserve better than me
I feel that life meant us to be apart
I will love you always
My heart I will give to you
Yet it is to late
The time for me is to move on
I might see you again someday
If not I wish you the best
Love is gone

Ugly By TrueLover

I'm tired of being ugly
the bad seed in the crowd
there are lots of forms of beauty
None of which I have
Then again, beauty is only skin-deep
and skin is very thin
but for once,
I want to be the fairy tale princess
be the one to light up the room
it seems so easy
so why can't it be me?
When someone says I'm pretty
I feel even worse,
because I absolutely hate to be lied to
and I know the truth
I can see the beauty queens on t.v.
oh-so-special, no matter what
No one would see them and then want me
I'm tired of being ugly
ashamed in the crowd
there are lots of forms of beauty
and none of them I have

Drifting away? By Brittany

I feel like we're drifting apart
What happened to the days you'd call me
Not no more that's only occasionally
Did you find a new friend?

You say we're best friends
Is that just a line?
I don't see it anymore,
You make me feel like a blob

I could be overreacting
I doubt it
You never can hang out when I ask
When you go out you're always with her

What'd I ever do?
I feel like I'm being pushed away
Our conversations don't last
Instead I feel like I'm alone

Are we best friends?
I don't see it,
What'd I do?
We're drifting away I don't get it!

forever in your hands
when we are apart just look up in the stands
and there I'll be watching you
and waiting for the key
asking you to
set my heart free
i can't take it anymore
when you finally released it from your clutch
you gave it back to me tore
i loved you so much
now i have no love left in my heart it all seeped through the crease
not knowing how to love again
i gave you every piece
all i have is my pen
to let out my emotions
when you come across my mind
i get a notion
but i let it pass and it gives me a sign
we really loved each other
but then you had to flee
you left me to suffer
with no heart left in me

Nana By Sarah82

If only I was brave enough to stop and say goodbye,
If only I was strong enough to try and understand why,
I hope you know how much I love you each and every day,
And I dont think I'll ever understand why God took you away.

I'll never forget your happy smiling face,
Or how things always tasted better at Nana's place,
And although I can no longer see you, somehow I know you're near,
Watching over me forever and always holding me dear.

Forgotten World By Rachiebabe

When a breeze blows gently over the ocean
And the waves come gracefully in,
The birds above sing songs of devotion
as the dolphins wave with a fin.

The sky above is clear and blue.
Palm trees calmly sway.
Cool air smells so fresh, so new,
As the sun sets for the day.

With stars that shimmer bright and high
And the moon lights up a path.
The water seems to touch the sky,
As nature weaves her craft.

Slowly as the sun comes up,
The crystal ocean begins to wake.
The seagulls circle high above
as the dawn begins to break.

All the trees are tall and proud.
Glistening waterfalls flow while they can.
Alas it comes, that fatal cry,
"Stand your ground, it's come, it's man!"

Little Gertie Takes A Bath

By Twisted Heart

Little Gertie was so dirty
But wouldn't take a bath
Her mom would fuss
Her dad would cuss
Which only made her laugh.

She played until the sun went down
Outside in dirt and grime
Mud caked on feet
From soap she'd flee
Bath time to her a crime.

Each night her family would plead
But she didn't give a care
She'd shake her head
A loud "NO" was said
And she'd go on up the stairs

Then one day while at play
A stranger did she meet
A boy her age
Was quite the rage
Made her heart skip a beat.

A nicer sight she'd never seen
From the dirt she slowly rose
He was so fair
With reddish hair
And freckles across his nose.

She asked him if he'd like to play
He looked her up and down
With scrowl on face
He stood in place
Giving her a great big frown.

"You are so dirty" he said to Gertie
"I couldn't play with you
I'd be afraid
The dirt would stay
Long after play was through."

A tear fell down from her sad eyes
As he turned and walked away
Back to her home
She walked alone
Much too sad to play.

With head hung low inside her house
Then slowly up the stairs
She felt so bad
Her heart was sad
Her soul was in despair.

Then all at once she had a thought
It didn't have to end like that
Every spot was washed
With soap and cloth
When little Gertie took her bath.

Weeping Garden

-Weeping Garden-

Entering the pale garden,
thistles strive for excellence;
fathoming in wicked schemes,
bored to fated negligence--

Forbidden fruit pouring pity,
for it is mute, non existent;
a weeping tear liquids the sky,
though emotionally distant--

-------Laying beneath the rain,
where gentle wind once blew;
lied there, the frown of thorns,

------------A secret rendezvous--

Sweet Sorrow Breeze -- Double Etheree

By Twisted Heart

Sweet
Sorrow,
You hold me
In captive arms
Lulling me to sleep
Tears dip upon the eyes
In slumber torn memories
Silent words a burden of mind
Secrets lost against the pitch of time.
Now hunger for release of life and breath.

To thee sweet night, I lay in wanton death
A victim to your shadow thoughts hide
Tender winds caress the tears cried
As sure as the mind confides
In the stars shining bright.
Now emptiness tips
from the heartache
of the breeze
that lifts
me.

Etheree Form was discovered about 20 years ago by an Arkansas poet Etheree Taylor Armstrong. (what a cool name) It has a structure much like the nonet, except that it has an additional line.

Tender Mending

By Twisted Heart

Pain tears away each layer of trust within your soul
Each word of truth is lost inside the niche of liar's hold
A breath of loss comes quickly as hurt begins to fall
Upon the heart surrounded by love's victim to it's call.

Inside mere mind a thought may cross lending you release
In judgement of the parting of dear love that can't be seen
The single tear of fabric in your soul begins to fray
Then pulls apart the very seams that held well yesterday.

Dark waters dip upon the edge of distant fantasies
Throws winds of contentment to shadowed faith debris
Steel hunger for redemption from harnesses of hate
Begins to find a solace in the sound of every break.

Come tender tears to wash away troubles of the heart
Mending rips and soften edges of each shattered part
Once more to bring a comfort to a soul lost in despair
That sits alone against the night waiting for repair.

The Lazy Hypochondriac

By Twisted Heart

-- I woke up feeling kind of sick... --

My head is sore, my stomach aches
my feet are swollen, I have the shakes
My eyes are watering a lot
I'm not real sure what I caught.

- My neck is red and really stiff -

My joints are creaking, my hands are numb
A rash apparent, don't know how come
My back feels like it's in a twist
When I stand or when I sit.

- My ears are ringing like a bell -

I've got the sniffles, and the sneezes
When I walk or run I get the wheezes
My shoulders always in a slump
And there are tingles in my rump.

--These aches and pains are living hell! -

They are much worse than days before
I hurt so bad my mind is sore
Don't know if I can take much more
They've cut me quick and to the core.

--I know... I'll call my doc, he will know --

I'm sure he's read of it in a book
My symptoms told He'll take a look
He'll know the pill or the remedy
To put to rights the aches in me.

-- That's what I'll do, Now where's the phone --

Oh yeah, It's in the other room
My hopes are dashed I feel the doom
It'll hurt too much if I should move
So now what's left for me to do.

Processing thought....

Is there anything I have to do
Any place to go worth driving to
I can't think of any, how 'bout you
Guess I'll lay in bed and watch the tube.

Dear Diary

Dear Diary,

There are no more tears left for me to cry
The world i live in is just a big lie
Noone listens to what i say
And if they do they still do it their way
Its like everything i do
Just gets scre!ed up
I try so hard
To get myself up
I dont even know why im still alive

Ive been rejected
Moked and treated like trash
I should jsut burn
And turn into ash
I wish i had a perfect life
I really do
To have a mother who is alive
Whom i can tell all my secrets to
To have friends
Who actually care
My life is just
So unfair
Oh Diary!
I come to you
Everytime that i feel blue
I just dont know
What to do
Please help me diary
Im asking you
What should i do?

Forever and a Day

By Beautiful Mistake

I think about you all the time,
and the things i want to say
like how much ill always love you
Forever and a Day

You mean so much to me
and it will always stay that way
my heart belongs to YOU
Forever and a Day

I want YOU, all of YOU
I am here to stay.
I hope you feel the same way
Forever and a Day

And if we start to drift
Farther and Farther away.
I will Always be here for you
FOREVER AND A DAY.

Another Try !!

By Krystal Castelly

We talked again tonight
You looked in my eyes and i looked back
You said you look like you're goona cry
I simply replied well i can't lie
I miss having you in my life
Thoughts of having you as my wife, you were my LIFE
Come on Baby I see it your eyes you feel it too
The love we share is real baby you know its true
Now make my wish come true and let me love you

I know we are opposites but thats what keeps it fun
You know i will always be here for you in the long run
Since not having you in my life I've been behaving like a nun

I just want there to be an us again
Together we can do it all
We help to break each others fall
Tell me Baby you want to try again?
Or do you just want to be friends?

Too good to be true

By Jamie

Everything about him,
just so great,
his every touch,
every kiss,
ever look,
gives me shivers,
his words make beautiful,
a catch there must be,
nothing this great,
ever comes to me,
always getting hurt,
falling so hard,
is it different this time,
or is it all just a lie..

Sacrifices

By Twisted Heart

Heart's rendering has come to pass
Inside a soul of pain and strife
Among shards of broken glass
Littered thoughts in mind collide.

Tarnished silence stays fast the night
Distant dreams are lost and vacant
Tempered flickers from moonlight
Upon hope and faith forsaken.

Tender beats that claim burnt sorrow
Flames smothering the very breath
Recollects lost tomorrows
Feigning with cold hands caress.

Mere hunger tears food of life
Thirst has come in solace dark
No longer struggling midst the fight
Between the mind, soul, and heart.

In darkness still the battles done
As shadows rest upon remains
N'er word of hope and faith begun
But corpses that mere life has claimed.

Me

By Megan

I hate this person I am today.

I hate the person I was yesterday.

I'll hate the person I will be tomorrow.

I hate the way I drown myself in this sorrow.

I hate the way I go about life.

I hate the way I continue this strife.

But Id love to be a whole new someone.

For this internal war to be won.

Id love to be free.

But until then I hate being me

Let Go

By Contradicting Thoughts

So this is what you really desire,
Letting go is a must,
Let go of all my fire,
And the only man I trust.

Ignore you in my dreams,
Pretend you weren't in sight,
After all my hopelessness and screams,
I won't deny my fright.

But now I bet,
My emotions will trigger my bust,
I know I can never forget,
But letting go is a must...
Yet I can't do it.

Broken-Hearted

By Kashmeer

For a while I stopped crying
And tried to stop myself from lying
I tried not thinking about him
But to me it was a sin
In my mind he would always stay
Thoughts of him wouldn't go away
I didn't know what I did or said
But to him I was dead
Did he know that I cared
Losing him was what I feared
I guess its time to move along
Because he's been gone so long
So I hope if I find someone new
My love for him will be just as true

Emerald Eyes

By Twisted Heart

On dusty shelf in darkness rests
Porcelain skin and satin dress
Gold spun curls, fancy ties
Two bright gems, her emerald eyes.

Once loved by all now she's alone
Inside this house once called a home
But tragedy came late that night
She witnessed all through emerald eyes.

Little girl in fluffy flannel gown
Nestled close in sheets and pillow down
Awoke so startled with periled cries
Shattered innocence saw by emerald eyes.

Dark shadows fell upon tainted bed
As little girl gasped for her final breaths
No movement at all, not even a sigh
Tormented death saw through emerald eyes.

All went silent and still in air of gloom
A single shot heard down the hall in his room
Now quiet comes painful upon this sad night
As tears crack the face that holds emerald eyes.

For my heart only belongs to you
No one makes me fell the way you do
No one ever will

It's you who I want
No one else will do
For my heart lies with you
My heart is your's to keep

Please don't hurt my heart
Please don't break my heart
Please be careful with my heart
For my heart bruises easily

But for you my love
I make this simple request
Trust in my heart for it's love is pure
And my heart will be your's for sure

I Remember !

By Mycquel

I remember the first time I seen that twinkle in his eye,
I remember when I knew I had to make him MINE!
I remember when she told you I found you rather cute,
I asked for your number hoping not to get the boot!
I remember it so well, kinda hard to forget
It was a day before my birthday, you were my early present
There you stood so handsome and polite
I remember this well because everything seemed so right
You gave me a $1 for my B-day balloon and said you will call me later
Later came soon enough
Asked if we could meet on my b-day for lunch
I politely declined
And suggested another time
Nothing personal, just had plans
Soon after you became my man
I remember the first time you said those three words,
I had to clean my ears to reassure what I heard!
I remember my hesitation and nerves that follows
I remember shortly after, my nerves I had to swallow!
I remember our first kiss and the way it gave me chills
I remember because it was something I don't usually feel
"To Make A Long Story Even Longer"
My feelings keep getting strong!
You make me happy and keep a smile on my face
Your the one man I can never replace!

We Are Not Dead

For Kadhim Kaitan

To no avail the doves cooing—
Our delights are cellars
And our time is ash.
We go, every sunset, to the river
Carrying the coffins of our days'
Polishing our teardrops
And shrouding our fears.

We are not dead.
We still have the tearful embrace
Of sacrifice.
We compose our features,
Bandage our calendars,
Our disappointments,
And,
Under a spider's tent,
We still have the right
To conquer the city with kisses.

We return to our hospitals
Lighting lamps of regret
And reciting our elegies.
Our lifetimes are paper boats
Pushed to the waves by the hand of a trifling child
Where, fold after fold,
The sea takes our dreams
And wraps them in weeping.
Our lifetimes are withered leaves
That launched an attack on the sun
And fell in flames.
The fire now licks at our names,
Sewn together with splinters.

Man Speaking to a Woman

You have come to me from a tall awkward city. You have come to me from the sister cities of the north. On your way here to me you have run in and out of a thousand cities that lie like unhatched eggs on the prairies.

You are a distraught woman with tangled hair and once you owned a house in a street where wagons and motor trucks went up and down.
I am glad you are tangled in a web of thought.
I am glad your thoughts have driven you out of the cities.
You have come up a hill to a place where I sit.
I am glad.
I will take the end of a thought in my hand and walk back and forth.
I will climb into trees.
I will run in holes under the ground.
I will weave a web over yourself.

You shall sit on a stone under a wall where a gateway leads into the valley of truth and as I weave you into oblivion I will tell you a tale.

Long ago, on a day in October, a woman like you came here to the face of the wall. The shadow of many perplexities lay like a film over her eyes. She sat on the stone with her back to the wall as you sit now. My father, who was then a young man, laid long threads of thought over her body.
A stone fell out of the wall and the woman was killed.
The wall is strong but a stone fell out of the wall.
It made a great noise.
A noise like the firing of guns was heard to the North and the South.
In the Valley there was a day set aside for the cleansing of doorsteps.
The sound of the tinkling of bells came over the wall.
A stone fell out of the wall on the head of a woman.
She fled from my father.
She fled like a frightened bird over the wall.

A Vagrant

I am become a brightly colored insect.
I am a boy lying by a river on a summer day.
At my back is an orchard.

I look dreamily out over warm stagnant waters. There is a reed grows out of the yellow mud. In the orchard at my back a hog grunts. An insect with brightly colored back and wings comes swinging down stream. He has lived more freely than the waters of the river. I go with him as I would go in at the door of God's house if I knew the street in which God's house stands, as I would go into you if you would leave the door open for me.

Yes,

And the clouds fretted and flew, as though
there was a reason for their acting distraught.
There may have been, of course, but at this distance,
better to act dumb and accept the inevitable
as a long-anticipated surprise. Then if what lands
on your plate stares angrily at you and the other guests
"can't wait" to hear your reaction, why, it's checkout time
at the gazebo and no one will forget you too heartily
as the next-to-last spectator always glimpsed on the premises,
feigning the concern for the victim that marks you as the killer,
for sure. As for being in touch with you guys
another time, we'll take it under advisement.

So this moment's tremors mingle with others
on the departure platform. Who knew it would be this silly,
and so dense? Nevertheless, we have a right to know,
to have our impulses regulated and calibrated in the
interests of farther and fainter reaction-shots. Sure,
you'll get your rights read to you and sooner
than you may have counted on. Let the monotonous
group of listeners pump you for details, we'll provide
backup and terminal ecstasy at the way stations.
It couldn't have been any other way. You knew that.

What's your name down there?
Despite misgivings, the story clicks to a halt,
as always. The credits surge. People rush to leave.
The shiny cars of another era are coming
to take us where we wish to be taken, lest we
outstay our welcome and sink in the embrace
of another mood.

Meditation at Smokewood Creek

Skunk cabbages unfurl along the creekside, baring
meat-purplish mottled cores and the rich maroon
stench of decay for whirligigs of flies.

Jewelweed blooms for the sake of summer's hummingbirds
and also forms backup, self-pollinating
seed pods that in August will burst at the slightest touch

—a browsing deer's, if one's strayed this far, a possum's, mine.
Cinnamon fern (its fine reddish down
lines the nests of those hummingbirds) grows tall

in the sun a fallen cherry no longer bars.
Its gnawed bark cracks and easily pulls away
from the mealy heartwood, bored, pocked, overrun

with beetles and undershadowed with moss.
Walking in among the interleaved, inter-
lived, I'd like not to feel always unwelcome,

destructive or, at best, a neutral irrelevance,
so I cultivate here the wild and invite
the quick—salamander, shrew, owl, gnat, wind, spore. . .

and the quiet—stone, snakeskin, cardboard
six-pack, rain-soaked, buckled, strung with spider's web,
jack-in-the-pulpit sermonizing on the marsh:

The adaptable shall inherit the earth.

The Wounded Angel, 1903
after Hugo Simberg

Walk the treeline, higher

than before, where the frost covers each rootbed. Dig
for the rotten fruit, lay it in your hand. Touch

the red berried hips of the branch's cradle. Dusk,

and the sky irons. Listen: a bird-stir and the build
of God in your breath. In the garden,

the wind knocks you into blind

slumber. Each torn wing folds into

the arms that rescue it. Two children

wait for the earth to grow

back into you, bring your sorrows

to the shore. There,

they reed-wash your halo, tie onion blooms
to your wrist. There is nothing they miss—

how the current moves through you,

sweeps mud into your throat, brightens
each bruised eye. Look away from this, your river-

locked voice, the threat of the far bank.

You-and-Forest

I was hiding you burying you then
in forest illumination
as if building a nest out of you
(I did not know that both fingers and birds were playing
and coming into being
for a music unknown to me:
timidly-supple to pulse in air-clots of trembling
so—to touch: as if not to touch)
I unwept I forgot how that forest was coiled in a hearth made of love!
visibly unknowing continues without me
I have become
credulous
toward emptiness
and so for me the age is already new!
"I need nothing" and suddenly you illuminate
from the youthful ancientness of the fathers
and unexpectedly—ageing—I am shattered
in golden rain: oh alien vision!—perhaps your chastity
is to be—without it:
continuing ever the same: in the burning of people-fathers—in an
already distant inaccessible refuge:
in this steadfast blazing—in endless snows
in the dampness of work—as in rains—continuing-to-temper-the-
Allpeople
you remain unknowing—in what reverse circle
they burn—my imaginings-visions: at such a distance where even
their semblances
burned out long ago! ...—and you
like my brain in youth: shining image in clear light of day:
are struck and are twisted
from the fullness of those same depths
by a pure—like your hands—like the idea of them in this world:
light—like a whisper! . . .—and simply—perhaps
now this is all—only through me rustling
the name—of the people

A Special World

A special world for you and me
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.

Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.

And though at times a thread may break
A new one forms in its wake
To bind us closer and keep us strong
In a special world, where we belong.

An Entrapment

My love, I have tried with all my being
to grasp a form comparable to thine own,
but nothing seems worthy;

I know now why Shakespeare could not
compare his love to a summer’s day.
It would be a crime to denounce the beauty
of such a creature as thee,
to simply cast away the precision
God had placed in forging you.

Each facet of your being
whether it physical or spiritual
is an ensnarement
from which there is no release.
But I do not wish release.
I wish to stay entrapped forever.
With you for all eternity.
Our hearts, always as one.

Love me when I'm happy, and even when I'm sad,
Love me when I'm good, or when I'm oh so bad,
Love me when I'm pretty, or if my face is plain,
Love me when I'm feeling good, or when I'm feeling pain.

Love me always darlin', in the rain or shining sun,
Love me always darlin', after all is said and done,
Love me always darlin', until all our life is through,
Love me always darlin', for I'll be lovin' you!

Love Defined

What is love, but an emotion,
So strong and so pure,
That nurtured and shared with another
All tests it will endure?

What is love, but a force
To bring the mighty low,
With the strength to shame the mountains
And halt time’s ceaseless flow?

What is love, but a triumph,
A glorious goal attained,
The union of two souls, two hearts
A bond the angels have ordained?

What is love, but a champion,
To cast the tyrant from his throne,
And raise the flag of truth and peace,
And fear of death o’erthrow?

What is love, but a beacon,
To guide the wayward heart,
A blazing light upon the shoals
That dash cherished dreams apart?

And what is love, but forever,
Eternal and sincere,
A flame that through wax and wane
Will outlive life’s brief years?

So I’ll tell it on the mountaintops,
In all places high and low,
That love for you is my reason to be,
And will never break or bow.

The Meaning

To love is to share life together
to build special plans just for two
to work side by side
and then smile with pride
as one by one, dreams all come true.

To love is to help and encourage
with smiles and sincere words of praise
to take time to share
to listen and care
in tender, affectionate ways.

To love is to have someone special
one who you can always depend
to be there through the years
sharing laughter and tears
as a partner, a lover, a friend.

To love is to make special memories
of moments you love to recall
of all the good things
that sharing life brings
love is the greatest of all.

I've learned the full meaning
of sharing and caring
and having my dreams all come true;
I've learned the full meaning
of being in love
by being and loving with you.

For You Are The One

For you I would climb
The highest mountain peak
Swim the deepest ocean
Your love I do seek.

For you I would cross
The rivers most wide
Walk the hottest desert sand
To have you by my side.

For you are the one
Who makes me whole
You've captured my heart
And touched my soul.

For you are the one
That stepped out of my dreams
Gave me new hope
Showed me what love means.

For you alone
Are my reason to live
For the compassion you show
And the care that you give.

You came into my life
And made me complete
Each time I see you
My heart skips a beat.

For you define beauty
In both body and mind
Your soft, gentle face
More beauty I'll ne'er find.

For you are the one
God sent from above
The angel I needed
For whom I do love.

Pledge of Love

I've made a vow, to no one but you
I pledge my love to forever be true
I'll take care of you and treat you right
I'll lay beside you all through the night
I'll feed you and clothe you and keep you warm
I'll hug you and kiss you and give shelter in the storm
I'll help you and guide you and clear a path
I'll protect you and shield you from an angry man's wrath
I'll listen to your problems help you solve them too
I'll make you a rainbow and let the sun shine through
I'll take your side even if you're wrong
Just to prove our love is strong
I'll plant you flowers and make them grow
They'll be a symbol of love that only we'll know
I'll whisper your name when no one is near
So low that only you can hear
You'll feel my love even if we're apart
You'll know that we are one in heart

Unlicensed Love

On a summer's day long, long ago
I fell in love and I'll never know
Just what it was that made me feel
So drawn to her, what the appeal
That set my pulses so to race
When e'er I gazed upon that face
Of one who was scarce but a child
Yet even then could drive me wild
I'll never know the how's and why's
I lost my heart to Hazel Eyes
But when I got that long sought kiss
I knew I'd found my Perfect Miss
My elfin girl from down the lane
And I'll never let her go again

For how could I describe our love?
Romantic love, all hearts and flowers
No way to count the days and hours
Spent in self-indulgent wishes
And thoughts of long awaited kisses
Of sweet embraces, tender sighs
And gazing into love filled eyes
Oh yes, it is that kind of love

Or, is it yet the love of passion
The ecstasy that knows no ration
That shuddering nerve-tingling feeling
The climax with your senses reeling
The wondrous joy when you discover
That sweet surrender to your lover
Oh yes, it's that kind of love too.

Or even yet a love that grows
One that cares and one that knows
That sees beyond the outer skin
Into the person deep within
That loves the spirit and the soul
The inner self that makes the whole
Built on trust and empathy
A love you know was meant to be

The love we share is all these things
A love that has no need of rings
A love you never need to doubt
A love I cannot live without
A love to last us all our days
A love I'll share with you always

Perfection in my Eyes

All I ever wanted was to be part of your heart,
And for us to be together, to never be apart.

No one else in the world can even compare,
You're perfect and so is this love that we share.

We have so much more than I ever thought we would,
I love you more than I ever thought I could.

I promise to give you all I have to give,
I'll do anything for you as long as I live.

In your eyes I see our present, our future and past,
By the way you look at me I know we will last.

I hope that one day you'll come to realize,
How perfect you are when seen through my eyes.

Because Of You

Because of you
my world is now whole,
Because of you
love lives in my soul.
Because of you
I have laughter in my eyes,
Because of you
I am no longer afraid of good-byes.
You are my pillar
my stone of strength,
With me through all seasons
and great times of length.
My love for you is pure
boundless through space and time,
it grows stronger everyday
with the knowledge that you'll always be mine.
At the altar
I will joyously say 'I do',
for I have it all now
and it's all because of you.

Will you ever?

I don't think you will
ever fully understand
how you've touched my life
and made me who I am.

I don't think you could ever know
just how truly special you are
that even on the darkest nights
you are my brightest star.

I don't think you will ever fully comprehend
how you've made my dreams come true
or how you've opened my heart
to love and the wonders it can do.

You've allowed me to experience
something very hard to find
unconditional love that exists
in my body, soul, and mind.

I don't think you could ever feel
all the love I have to give
and I'm sure you'll never realize
you've been my will to live.

You are an amazing person
and without you I don't know where I'd be.
Having you in my life
completes and fulfills every part of me.

So vivid
So unique
So wild, that not even the reign of God could control

A need so necessary
A want so strong
The universe would not handle

A Wish

I lie on the ground,
and stare into space,
the stars start to move,
into the shape of your face.

I see you there now,
looking down at me,
with that cute little smile,
that I like to see.

You say "close your eyes",
"tell me what you see",
I see only two people,
just you and me.

We're walking the shoreline,
with our feet getting wet,
the horizon turns pink,
as the sun starts to set.

We make love through the night,
on that white sandy shore,
then I hold you while thinking,
I could want nothing more.

Oh I wish I could be,
in that one special place,
as I lie on the ground,
and I stare into space...

A Love For All Time

Breathless kisses
Burning touches
Soft-spoken words of love
Urgently spoken words of passion.
A man and a woman
One complete love
Since time began
Predestined to be as one.
We've been together before
In other lifetimes
We've fought dragons
And have been torn from each others arms
Yet our love prevailed.
We've walked on this earth many times together
Perhaps for a moment
Perhaps for years
But our heart is one heart
And we were meant to be.
So when our time on earth
Once again comes to a close
Have no worries my dear
For we will find each other again
And again
And again.
For our love is ageless
Eternal
A love for all time.

You are my air
The sun in my day
The moon in my night
The spring in my step
You are my everything.

You are the stars in the sky
The birds in the trees
The shimmer, the sparkle, the shine.

Without the light you put into my life
I would be nothing
A single leaf on the ground in autumn,
Lost, forgotten, alone.

Before i knew you,
I was nothing.
Now I am everything,
With you at my side,
I am invincible!

Feel the same my baby,
You are loved so much,
I love you now and forever
You are my darling, my baby, my love
You are my everything

So often when I am embracing you,

Sometimes at night, when I look to the sky,
I start thinking of you and then ask myself, why?
Why do I love you? I think and smile,
because I know the list could run on for miles.
The whisper of your voice, the warmth of your touch,
so many little things that make me love you so much.
The way you support me, and help with my emotions,
the way that you care and show such devotion.
The way that your kiss, fills me with desire,
and how you hold me with the warmth of a blazing fire.
The way your eyes shine when you look at me,
lost with you forever is where I want to be.
The way that I feel when you're by my side,
a sense of completion and overflowing pride.
The dreams that I dream, that all involve you,
the possibilities I see and the things we can do.
How you finish the puzzle that lies inside my heart,
how that deep in my soul, you are the most important part.
I could go on for days, telling of what I feel,
but all you really must know is my love for you is real.

My Princess, My Wife

For My Dear Wife,
On This Usual Day;
I Write You This Poem,
In My Own Special Way.

I Wanted To Tell You,
In Words Of My Own;
You're The Most Precious Person,
That I've Ever Known.

You're The Prettiest Girl,
Than Any I've Seen;
Your Body Is Flawless,
So Slender And Lean.

Your Eyes Have That Sparkle,
That I Can't Live Without;
One Day Without Them,
And I'd Die There's No Doubt.

And I Just Lose Control,
When I Glance At Your Hair;
Those Curls Are Just Stunning,
So Perfect And Rare.

You're The Most Caring Person,
That I've Ever Met;
There's No One Like You,
And That I Can Bet.

What Attracts Me The Most,
Is Your Sweet And Kind Touch;
You're A Gift Sent From Heaven,
And I Love You So Much.

So Hold Me As Close,
As You Possibly Can;
'Cause Now And Forever,
I Am Your Man.

A Table Set For Two

Candles flicker softly on a table set for two,
There's no one on the earth tonight except for me and you.

A nice romantic dinner and a bottle of chilled wine,
And we are here together in a moment stopped in time.

A love so few have ever known and this is its birth night,
Alone within our little world, you and I and candlelight.

So soon we will set free the feelings that we want to share.
And I am held here spellbound by your laughter in the air.

Thoughts of love like falling leaves,
Swirling in the autumn breeze,

Flow in our minds and in our eyes,
A tender look and longing sighs,

We touch and as the fire starts,
That we have kindled in our hearts,

We kiss and hear the angels sing,
As heavens gift to me you bring,

No more to live my life alone,
And in your soul I found my home,

At peace within your loving arms,
Captivated by your charms,

And happily I'd die for you,
Here at this table set for two.

Compassion in your embrace.
The serenity in your stride,

The calming of your presence,

My Vow To You

When you are sad, I will dry your tears
When you are scared, I will comfort your fears
When you need love, my heart I will share
When you are sick, for you I will care

Knowing that nothing will change my heart
When you are worried, I will give you hope
When you are confused, I will help you cope

When you are lost, and can’t see the light
My love will be a beacon, shining ever so bright
This is my vow, one that I pledge till the end
For you above all are my wife and best friend

These words I have written, speak of my love for you
From my lips these words spoken, shall always ring true
God has blessed me, and with your hand in mine
Both of our hearts, will forever intertwine

Into all lives, falls pain and sorrows,
I promise together, we will meet all tomorrows
Happy in marriage, honor and love
blessed in unity by God above

Keeper Of My Dreams

When you're not here to share my days and nights
My life is so incomplete
For you are my heart, my soul
The ‘oneness’ I had known to seek

Without you I merely exist from day to day
With you I know that I will find
All that I have been searching for
My completeness, my eternal peace of mind

You are the keeper of my dreams
The man who holds my heart in his hands
The one I want to spend my life with
The one with whom I will always stand

Stand beside through thick and thin
Through all that life will throw our way
Knowing that this special love we share
Will guide us, each and every day

This journey was started long ago
Before this time and place
The journey of completeness
As two hearts and souls embrace

Forever is what I want with you
For the search is at an end
Our hearts have found each other
As lovers, as soul-mates, as friends.

It Is You I Dream Of

A flower grows from beneath a blanket
Of fine and purest white
It reaches toward the sun for warmth,
For heat and for the light

My love for you grows stronger still,
Despite the surrounding cold
My heart is yours, bartered gone
For yours has it been sold

Its petals shine from morning dew
Its stem grows stiff and strong
It stands strong through the freezing cold
It stands the winter long

I long for you, for your soft touch
I miss the way you smile
The longer that we stay apart
The longer every mile

The flower stretches through the snow
It reaches toward the sun
And now without you the color is gone
The flower's petals, dun

But as we talk, and as we learn
The flower comes back to life
The snow now melts and goes away
As you take away my strife

Spring is here and growth abounds
As you and I are one
We are together, we are in love
The snow for now is done

I see the future, in dreams I have
Of our life, long and true
I see the times where all I need
Are comforting words from you

I see the times when winter comes
As winter tends to do
But we still love, and we still live
And I do still love you

And so we live, with children ours
And a life of much to see
With love we live, to live we love
Happy together are we

I see the flower, older now,
But still strong with fresh new leaves
I see it growing, tall and strong
Reaching to the eaves

We are now old, as years have passed
But old together are we
And strong our love still today
As strong as it can be

Are There Angels?

It is said there are Angels
In Heaven above
And they shine with the light
Of an inner love

Of these things
I had not a clue
But that was
Before I found you

For in you I’ve found
A love that is so right
It shines all around
With the brightest of light

It comes from somewhere
So deep within
That it has no beginning
And knows no end

Your love is a light
That brightens each day
Of all of the people
You see on your way

Where ever you go
Or whatever you do
All see the love
That you have inside you

That God sent you here
To a place where you’d be
Sharing such love
With someone like me

Is proof for me
That angels exist
And are filled with a love
That no man could resist

I thank God each day
For finding the time
For looking down on me
And making you mine

So yes there are Angels
In heaven above
I know because God
Sent me one to love

Where the unicorns run,

A breeze always blows
and sings of a song;
our love in a place
where you're never gone.

Where you're never gone

The fantasy was there before,

Reflections of a Beautiful Morning

The sun rises above the hillcrest,
As does the joy of my heart;
Rays of warmth and love,
From her I will never depart.

Fresh dew upon the grass,
Young birds chirp in their nests;
I watch her gently sleep,
My love to her I silently profess.

I enjoy the stillness and calm,
Watching as she smiles and dreams;
She brings me to stillness and peace,
Like that of a slow flowing stream.

My heart and soul flow with love,
And I smile as I quietly reflect;
I’ve been handed a sweet princess,
A sweet princess to love and to protect.

A vow to myself I make,
As she quietly sleeps away;
To love and always cherish her,
Until my last breath... until my last day.

A thousand fair suitors all stab at your heart
Those poets of movement and jockeys of art
The high-volume vendors who hustle romance
Splashing their canvas with color and dance

The blasters of trumpets, gold banners unfurled
They offer lush gardens in glistening worlds
Yes, bearers of torches and carvers of stone
Who whisper their sonnets and surrender their thrones

And there in your doorway, no shadow is cast
No lingering voices, no ghosts from the past
Just a cluster of walls, and a window of pain
Collecting the heartache like droplets of rain

Still I stand before you, with palms to the sky
No gold in my pocket, no thorn in my side
And all I can offer, where words have no place
Is a body that trembles, and this love that awaits

You Are My Forever Love

Your friendship and love,
And all the wonderful things
That they bring into my life,
Are like nothing else
I have ever known.

My heart is complete
With the love we share,
And our love grows more
Beautiful each day.

I love you,
And as long as we are together,
I have everything I need.

You are with me always...
In a smile, a memory, a feeling
Or a moment we share.

You will always be
My Forever Love

The World’s Most Beautiful

I’d give anything to see the sun set on the horizon,
I’d do anything to gaze at a full moon in the night sky;
Even a rainbow would make me smile,
And I’d love to swim in crystal clear waters
Of an untouched sea;
Sometimes I’ll see a shooting star,
And try to gaze from afar,
All the diamonds in the night sky;
The mist on the mountains is breathtaking,
As is walking in rainforest;
To see cascading waterfalls I’d do anything for,
As to stand on the highest peak in the world,
And look at the sights below;
I’d love to soar on wings above the clouds,
Across the bluest skies;
I’d do anything to see
All the beautiful things in the world,
Like a red rose blooming in the Sahara,
Like a river twisting through a dusty land,
All the beautiful things in the world;

But I also know I am looking at
The world’s most beautiful creation,
Every time you smile,
And every time I look into your eyes.

You Are Poetry

You come outside
To view the faint sunset
Light bewildered by trees
Shines through quietly
You glide your soft auburn hair
Perched behind your ear
And in this moment I feel at home
Beneath the interior
You are my humble abode...
Your company is soothing
Calming and reassuring
Inside, the wind chimes ring
You saunter and my hearts sings
Bit by bit I begin to recognize
The enchanting glow in your subtle eyes
Hidden in all abstract paintings
It’s you; what all artists see
You are poetry...

If I Knew

If I knew how to write a song
I’d write one everyday
It would say that I’m in love with you
And why I feel this way

It would have to say you’re pretty
And as rare as a desert rose
It would say you’re a looker
From your head down to your toes

You are funny, dainty, fragile
And as feminine as can be
You’re smart charming lovely
And everything to me

You’re my comfort when I’m lonely
You’re my peace when I need rest
Of all the women I’ve known
I must rate you the best.

You’re the orchard in the jungle,
you’re the better half of me
You’re all of this and so much more,
you mean the world to me

Still so much is left unsaid,
It would take me far to long
I know how much I love you,
If only I could write a song.

You Walked Lightly

You walked lightly into my life
Captivating and lovely to my mind,
At first, I never cared who you were
Now I don’t know who I am without you,
You kissed me
I felt my world change,
You held me
I heard my heart awaken,
You loved me
And my soul was born anew
You walked lightly into my life
Now my heart knows who you are
And with every breath
And every step
I take down lonely roads,
Your hand is my staff
Your voice is my guide
Your strength my shelter
You’re passion my awakening.
You walked lightly into my life,
And all my pain
You took as your own,
And all my fears
You cast into the sea,
All my doubt
Lost in your eyes,
You walked lightly into my life
And no matter if you choose to stay or go,
My life is forever changed,
Just because you loved me
For a moment in time.
And because I choose
To love you
For the rest of mine.

I Love You

I love you with a permanence
That endures the passing years.
I love you with a joyfulness
That subdues all doubts and fears.
I love you with an honesty
That was born within my heart.
I love you with the calm belief
That we will never part.
I love you with a confidence
No earthly force can sever.
I love you with the certainty
That I’ll cherish you forever.
I love you with the humbleness
Of one who has been blessed.
I love you with the reverence
Of all that word suggests.
I love you with a fervor
That time cannot reverse.
I love you with the truest love
That poets put to verse.

Soul Like The Vastest Sea

Your soul is like the vastest sea
And mine a darting fish:
I lose myself within your love;
I live within your heart.

I breathe your love: it is my air,
My element, my world.
I know no other ambiance;
I have no other dream.

I know there is outside your love
A world of rocks and sand;
And I could live there, too, but oh!
How poor and thin each breath!

How rich my world, how beautiful,
Alive within your love,
Each moment filled with dancing light
Refracted through your eyes!

I love you like I love to lay

I love you like I love the rain

I love you like I love to laugh

I love you like I love to drive
with no real destination
I love you like I love the thrill
of pure infatuation
But most of all I love you like
I love a cherished friend
Who holds me tight, dries my tears
and loves me to the end

Constant Thunder

I was once lost in darkness,
A wandering nomadic fool,
Teetering on the edge of reason,
About to plunge into the abyss,
Then a light shone down,
Lifted me out of darkness,
Touched my soul with grace,
And beat love into my heart,
That was when I met you,
My loving wife,
For so long now you
Have continued to save me,
Day after day,
You gave me the reason to be,
To live and to feel love,
To go on and find my dreams,
As long as you were there,
I just wanted to let you know,
That I could never fully express
How much I feel for you,
When I love you
Seems so simple,
How can you put into words
The power of desire I have for you,
Pray to God,
Channel the muse,
And let my fingers type the words,
My heart beats because of you,
My soul is bright and alive,
Because of you,
And even when the trails of today
Seem to distract me,
My love is always devoted to you,
It is eternal within my heart,
Like a constant thunder in my soul.

If There's...

If there's one face I want to see,
so beautiful, so true,
one smile that makes a difference,
to everything I do.

If there's one touch I long to feel,
one voice I long to hear,
whenever I am happy,
or just needing someone near.

If there's one joy, one love,
from which I never want to part,
it's you, my very special love,

I Love You

Just three little words
don't seem like enough
for someone whose smile
still brightens my day,
whose touch can make me forget
the rest of the world.

They don't seem like enough
for someone who's always been there
to celebrate with me
when everything goes my way
and to hold my hand
when my whole world
seems to fall apart.

But even though "I Love You"
can't express the depth
of my feelings for you.
I hope you know what's in my heart.
Because loving you
means more to me

and it always will.

Dance Me To The End Of Love

Dance with me in love
Dance with me in life
When did enduring love begin?
The day we became man and wife

There is patience and understanding
We try to be unselfish and kind
Though not a fairy-tale romance
No greater love will we find

Sharing dreams, passions, and desires
Building each other up when we fall
We've learned to say I'm sorry
And I love you through it all

Our two hearts beat as one
Cherishing what we have from above
Dance with me forever
Dance me to the end of love

For My Angel Chris

The day you came into my life will be cherished always.
An angel sent from heaven above for my lonely heart to hold.
My heart is no longer lonely, but instead
filled with the wonder of a love like I’ve never known.

When you first held me, it was magical!
A touch no other but my soulmate could provide.
Truly the passion needed no words.

Your kiss on my lips is something I long for each day.
With a single kiss the intensity of your love so incredibly clear!

Your eyes melt me with emotion so intense it is beyond belief.
A caring and unconditional love that shines from them
that makes me shiver with excitement for our life to come.

Each day your smile fills my heart with a joy like no other.
Oh but to have you in my life is truly a blessing!

On the day we wed...
I promise to you yet again my unconditional love and devotion.
For I will cherish each day that God gives me with you,
our own little piece of heaven on earth.

I will love you always.

Regret flows from the depths of my soul
With the strength of a flood
I have held these gates shut for too long
And though tormenting, they should not be stopped.

The thought of your anguish
Even as I write to you now
Stops my heart cold
As well it should

What I see in front of me
Is a painting of our love
Its most thoughtful brushstrokes
Mottled by hurried abstraction and inattention

A person who had not seen this masterpiece created
Might think it to be refuse and pass it by unknowingly
Letting be obscured the deep beauty of its many scenes
By layers of the tarnish of mistreatment

But as the painter
I see beyond the dark smears
To recall the hours that I attended to the details
And wonder how I could let it become so discolored

The painting that took me my life to create
Has lost its divinity in my careless treatment
And even if I were to refine it
I fear you would always see it as it is today

So today I paint a new masterpiece
One inspired by the muse of respect
A work that you can love through our old age
One that you will look to each day for inspiration

This one will take some time
As I want my brushstrokes to be carefully placed
I need to move steadily to ensure that this time,
My art represents my dream

This is my opus
Don't judge me on my past works
As I have never before had so much skill and inspiration
And never before have I wanted to please you as I do today

With you and my children as my muse
I will paint for you a lifetime
A portrait of devotion and friendship
A panorama of passion and admiration

All I ask is that you gaze upon it with an open heart
And you shall unquestionably love me again

Balloon

I think that I might fly away, in my hot air balloon,
And hide from worldly worries on the dark side of the moon;
There’s but one thing I need before I float into the blue:
I need a sky companion and I want it to be you.

We’ll fly beyond the storm clouds and we’ll watch from up above,
I’ll cover you in rainbows as we feel each others’ love;
You’ll shower in the stars at midnight in our special place,
I’ll dry you with a comet’s tail and kiss your beaming face.

Dreamy drifting panorama, changing every day,
Every night your loving smile will be my milky way,
The moon will wane before us, sailing there in heaven’s height,
For nothing else can challenge our love’s everlasting light.

Venus shining on us, glowing soft at our devotion,
Our daily drifting dalliance in love’s celestial ocean,
I’ll write you lovers’ poetry, and you will be my muse,
Orion and Andromeda will oversee our cruise.

We’ll sleep with clouds as pillows, maybe steal an angel’s wings,
Then fly as magic lovebirds, or slide round Saturn’s rings,
And should we tire of drifting and the stars all floating by,
We’ll hook onto a meteor and soar across the sky.

Will you consent to be my mate on our celestial ship?
I’m ready, heart all packed with love, to last us for the trip,
Take my hand and step aboard, we’re heading for the sun,
We’re flying till we find the place where our two souls are one.

A Rose That Once Stood Alone

A solitary rose grew in the darkest corner of the garden
Surrounded by many others
Yet remained alone

Time passed and trials came and went
One dealt a severe blow
And the rose began to wilt and wither

Forgotten...

Then... as if by a miracle...

There came a soft and gentle breeze
Followed by a ray of light
As all the other roses fell into darkness
The solitary rose began to shine

Shining with a special light...
And watered by a gentle cascade...
A cascade of love
A cascade of selfless affection

"I do... not now but forever..."
Said the rose to the sunlight
And there they remain
A rose in full bloom
With her sunshine smiling down on her...

You are my sunshine, my life, my very soul
And I your rose blooming in the light of your love.

My Friend, My Love

It began as all fires do,
a spark soon ignited into a blaze of warmth and colourful delight.
You held my hand, became my friend,
earned my trust and my future once again looked bright.

Loneliness turned to hope,
emptiness filled up with dreams.
Hunger was satisfied,
and the darkness lit by love's moonbeams.

Tears no longer hit the ground,
they fall on your loving shoulder.
I feel younger,
as our love grows older.

When sorrow leaves me wilted as a sun-parched rose,
your comfort is a river that flows and flows.
The sun's light, the morning dew,
they are all the beauty that is you.

When passion ebbs,
as tides do,
love fills the wake,
and carries us through.

Your strength is as the oak,
but if it is my need you bend like the willow.
My heart is filled,
like a lucky sail with wind to billow.

Harsh cold winters,
wet springs, blissful summer heat, and the fall of time,
They'll weather my spirit,
with grace and peace, your hand in mine.

Our love's sweet creations, joyous children,
blessed am I thanks to God and you.
What greater beauty could shed light,
on the love that came from two.

Love's sweet reflection,
laughing, growing, thriving, learning.
Words cannot express what my heart feels,
how strong my love is burning.

When God took one home,
I felt my heart would never again see the sun.
But you, my love, walked with me, through the sadness,
and together we share the memories that keep our family one.

The lines of age will etch their mark on us
and time will take the strength from our bodies.
But love's brush will paint for us a picture of such beauty,
That a hundred lifetimes could not remove their glory.

Red Rose

Our love is that of a red rose
Whose splendor rises as the sun shows its face,
Whose petals expand further and richer
Whispering secrets of happiness and affection.

And even though with the fall of dusk
All contentment is swept away,
And the rose's petals unite as one
Reflecting any light that may endeavor to shine through,
The sun will always rise
And the rose's petals will eternally broaden
Until they fully blossom into a stunning creation.

Our love is that of a red rose
Possessing a few imperfections
That may cause evanescent wounds,
But the internal radiance
That will everlastingly bestow healing and comfort.

The Golden Path

Take my hand this way we'll go,
Said the man above,
I'll take you to a place of joy,
Where you will find true love,

If you let go, go on your own,
But mistakes you will make,
For many other ways there are,
Which you are sure to take,

When you feel that you are lost,
All you have to do is pray,
And I'll be there once again,
To help you on your way,

I did pray and just as said,
He shined his light from above,
That showed me the way down the golden path,
That led me to your love.

Coming Home...

How simple my life is now you are here,
How I cherish each breath,
How I crave the light and laughter you have brought me.
I have fallen in love without taking a step,
Fallen into the sweetest of dreams,
How I hope no one wakes me.
The simplest gesture wraps itself around my heart,
Where I will hold it forever.

Each time we say goodbye a part of me weeps,
Though I know it is not forever
To my aching soul it is an eternity.
I see my happiness shine in your eyes,
Every time you hold my hand my heart skips a beat.
How sweet life is to be yours;
How meaningless life is without you.

They know nothing of the loneliness before you
Nothing of the empty tears I cried day after day,
How did you do it, I ask myself,
How did you banish the fear, the darkness?
You have made me see that nothing is that bad,
That I am strong and worthy of happiness,
You have saved me from myself.

Everyday I wake up and smile to myself
Knowing you are waiting for me,
Knowing you can't wait to see me.
How would I go on if you were not there to hold me up,
To bless me with your love and light?
How I am glad you have found me
My life is now complete...
I am home.

Second Best

Every morning starts beautifully
with the sound of your sweet voice from a phone call.
It's second best to actually embracing you in my arms,
under the covers that protect us from the chill that lies outside.
Your melodic wake-up laughter over the phone is second best
to the overwhelming smile I see in the morning,
when I hold you in my arms
after having spent another wonderful night with you.
Your "I Love You"s over the phone
always make me smile and hold the phone tighter,
second best to looking into your eyes with those words,
and being able to deeply kiss you afterwards,
sending a chilling warmth throughout our bodies.
But with you... you are my #1.
The closest person in the world to me.
With you, there is no second best.
There is no one close to even being "second" or "best".
I hold you, alone, in the most intimate place in my heart.
It's a place where I can feel you, still close, when you're far away.
Where I can close my eyes, and hear your voice,
listen to your laugh, and feel your "I Love You"s.
So please, keep calling me in the morning.
Cause second to your kisses,
theres no better alarm clock than your personalized ring.
No better way to begin the day than with you.

Poem For Sharon

Why is it that some people who find love,
handle it with such carelessness?

Some people search for love all their lives.
When it is found, why put it down and forget about it,
only to realize how much it meant when it is gone?

When you find love, hold on to it,
celebrate its feelings,
drown in them every day,
be consumed by them...

I am consumed by you Sharon.

I will never set aside my love.
I will never look for it only when it is lost.

I love you.
I will show you and tell you every day.

At Your Feet

Where are you tonight my love?
What is it that you do?
It's true my heart is torn apart
When I'm not with you
What enchanted thoughts swim through your head?
Are any of them of me?
When, my dear, you go to bed
Is it my face you see?

Who is honoured with your presence now?
And do they even care?
The thought of you not being admired
Fills me with despair
Do they appreciate your loveliness?
Do they marvel at your splendor?
Do they love to hear your velvet voice?
Do they adore your smile so tender?

If they do not
Then they all are fools
and had you been with me
Every day, my love, you'd be a king
because that's what you are to me

I'm at your feet
and I come with gifts
my body, heart, and soul
They're yours to do with as you please
to command and to control

I give myself with all my heart
I'm yours for all of time
Your slave, your queen, your anything
only say that you are mine

You came into my life unexpectedly,
and everything took a turn for the better.
Your warm eyes, your laugh,
the sincere way you speak,

all became a part of my life.

As you unfolded yourself to me,
I discovered more and more beauty.
I have never seen so much
gentleness in one person.
Without even knowing it,
you were slowly making a place
for yourself in my heart.

It used to seem so hard at times
to feel so close in a relationship.
But it’s so easy to feel close to you.
I can’t tell you how nice that feels.

I sailed my boat
And prayed that it
Would stay afloat

From dawn til dusk
From dusk til dawn
In search of love
I drifted on

What happened then
I don't recall
I think it was
A sudden squall

For when I awoke
I thought I died
At the sight of an angel

But lucky for me
That was not true
For I found love
And love was you.

Feelings

As I wake by your side,
My feelings for you I can not hide,
I touch your face in the morning light,
Being with you just feels so right

You make me feel like I'm a queen,
Like being inside an awesome dream,
Although this is real, that I know,
As the love that surrounds us continues to grow

I think of what the future holds...
Marriage, children, us growing old,

My eyes beheld a sky one night,
It seems so long ago,
A perfectly painted portrait,
Be-speckled with blue and gold.

As I sit and ponder more,
It strikes me that you were there,
And it was truly your simple beauty,
That gave the stars their perfect glare.

The Unicorn's Ride

Over your rainbow
A unicorn flew,
He was sent to find me...
He said by you.
"Climb aboard", he whispered,
"We must go for a ride..."
And into a portal of light
We rode inside.
The sky was so blue,
The fields so green,
With each explosion of light
Was a wonderful scene.
So happy we seem
And always together,
There was no end to your dream,
It just went on forever.
Then the unicorn said
"I have one more surprise..."
So we took off quickly
And pierced the sky.
Then I saw you sleeping
And dreaming in your bed...
I caressed your hair gently
And kissed you on your head.
The unicorn interrupted...
"I must now get you home,
But now that you've seen her dream,
May you never feel alone."
My heart is feeling heavy,
A fire burns inside.
Thank you so much my darling
For the unicorn's ride.

Beauty

Your lips, your eyes, your soul
Are like a work of art,
The most creative thing of all
Is your beautiful heart.

If you were a painting,
No colours could express
The beauty deep inside you,
A rainbow, nothing less.

If you were a sculpture
The clay could hardly make
Your figure of an angel
Without one mistake.

If you were a euphony
No choir could really sing
All the beautiful music
Your eyes could possibly bring.

So here I am, an artist,
With inspiration beyond belief
But to capture such rare beauty,
I'd have to be a thief.

A Patchwork Quilt

Made up of memories of you
Bound together with love
Sewn with your selfless giving
Threads made of grace
Lined with thoughts of you.

Squares made of days gone by
Days we spent together
Each with a new design
Of the things that we shared.

Blanket stitches of our hearts
Mingle the squares in rows
Nothing can tear it apart
Not fire or flood or anything close.

It’s kept in a place of my keeping
The treasure chest of my heart
Wrapped in tissue of forgiveness
And tied with ribbons of love.

The colors all speak of you
Pinks and Blues and other hues
Sewn tight and fastened together
With hope and faith and truth.

Stellar Passion

My adorable princess in the night
I searched the book of the cosmos for you
And there you were, my brightest star
A detailed flame of purest joy
That coalesced the heavens in extreme awe
The world, you have at your fingertips
And all the worlds and stars beyond
Tell me what you know of them
Do they shine from your essence
Or glow from the sight of your dramatic beauty
Do they travel the universe to be in unity with you
Do they wait for their cataclysmic, fateful end
So that the shattering pieces that remain of them
May somehow find their way to the cradle of you
How I wonder what miraculous wonders you be store
How you make me weak in the knees to gaze at you
Hanging high up there in the blissful night sky
How do you think the stars befell enviously
They all want to radiate the systems of galaxies
But you will be the one to teach them the way
As they will follow in your lead to perfection
It's when I come out late at night, and I feel all alone
I know you are there, weightless over me
I know because my shortness of breath tells me
As my heart pounds rapid in my chest
And once again, you seduce me into a supernova
Stellar blaze of glory, astral, luminescent sphere of light
From there to here is where you take me
As you have brightened all my ways of life

From Now Until Forever

I’ve never known a love like yours
Nor thought it could be true,
But every time I kiss your lips
I feel what love can do

With hair like silk
And lips so tender,
Each moment with you
Makes my heart surrender

I couldn’t live, I couldn’t breathe
Without you by my side,
Never will I let you go,
My love will never hide

And in my heart you’ll always be
From now until forever,
No matter what, no matter where
We’ll always be together

You’re the thought that starts each morning,
The conclusion to each day.
You are in all that I do,
And everything I say.

You’re the smile on my face,
The twinkle in my eye.
The warmth inside my heart,
The fullness in my life.

You’re the hand that’s laced in mine,
And the coat upon my back.
My friend, my love,
My shoulder to lean on.

You’re my silly, mature, caring,
Thoughtful, bright, and honest guy.
The one who holds me tightly,
When I need to cry.

You’re the dimple in my cheek,
The ever-constant tingle in my soul.
The voice that makes me weak,
The happiness of my life.

You are all I’ve wanted,
You are all I need.
You are all I’ve dreamed of,
You are all of this to me.

You And I

You and I are connected
in a way that goes beyond romance,
beyond friendship,
beyond what we've ever had before.
It has defied time, distance,
and changes in ourselves
and in our lives.
It has defied every explanation.
Except one:
Pure and simply, we're soul mates.

I can't explain, I just feel it.
It's there in the way my spirits lift
whenever we talk.
The sound of your voice brings me home,
in a way I can't explain.
It's in the delight I feel, when we laugh
at exactly the same things.
When I'm with you,
it's like a tiny piece of the universe
shifts into place.
A place it's supposed to be,
and all is right with the world.

These things and so many more,
have made me understand
that this is a once in a lifetime,
forever connection.
A connection that could only exist
between you and me.
And deep in my soul,
I know that our relationship
is a rare gift.
One that brings us
extraordinary happiness
all through our lives.

One year of holding hands
One year of hugging,
One year of laughing,
One year of cuddling.

One year of loving
One year of kissing
One year of touching
One year of romancing.

One year of your love
One year of my love,
One year of our love
One year of true love.

The Way You Make Me Feel

You make me feel special,
You make me feel new,
You make me feel loved,
With everything you do.

You hold me close when I am sad.
You wipe the tears from my face.
Every time we are together,
It seems like the perfect place.

My eyes light up when you enter a room.
I smile when we are together.
No matter how bad things are,
You always make them better.

I love the way you kiss me,
The way you hold me tight.
I love the way you touch me,
I could be with you all night.

I love the way you can make me laugh
For absolutely no reason at all.
I love how no matter what I do,
You will be there to catch me when I fall.

I just want you to know,
That even though we sometimes fight,
I will always love you!
No matter what, day or night.

The Web

Creatively
You worked your art
You spun a web
Around my heart
How beautifully
Your deeds have spread
Each intricately
Woven thread
With strands of care
You dried my tears
Your gentleness
Dispelled my fears
Your wisdom
Helped me understand
And patiently
You held my hand
To give me courage
To brave the storm
With kindness
You have kept me warm
Your passion
Lit a glowing fire
That filled my soul
With sweet desire
You're all
That I was dreaming of
For the web you spun
Was made of love

Our Sonnet

Sweet Lady, song of my heart,
Hold my hand, as this journey we start.
Lift me up in spirit of joy and gladness;
And shield my soul from heartbreak and sadness.
Steadfast, honest and true;
Your partner is here and will forever love you.

It is my prayer that I will always be;
The one who brings you joy and sets your spirit free.
With my love I’ll cover you and warm your soul with mine;
Give you pleasures – like none you will find.
Your Sweet Lady, song of your heart;
Will love you forever, together or apart.

So hear me Sweet Lady, and know in your soul;
That there is no better future than with you to grow old.
Endless caresses, touches and kisses;
Our passion a banner for our love’s true existence.
My hand I extend and my honor I offer;
For being with you my love, there is no greater pleasure.

Your hand I accept, and all your love as well;
My heart sings so loudly, all can tell
I am loved and in love with the man made for me
Hold my hand; let us walk through this life
Being what we were meant to be
Together.

One Special Night

As I sit here gazing out the window,
Instead of working, I’m daydreaming of you...
And wondering if while you’re in your own world,
You’re thinking of me too.

I reminisce about the day we met and how you made me feel,
Looking at the glowing smile on your face,
Staring into your dreamy blue eyes,
Your smell, your touch, your warm embrace

What a special night that was...

And now, I’m starting to feel that warmth inside,
Like nothing or no one else can make me feel...
Butterflies, a constant smile, happy thoughts,
Looking forward to the next time we meet.

What lies ahead, down the road to love?
Can it possibly be what I’ve been hoping for?
All my goals, dreams, passions, hopes...
Glaring now before me with great anticipation.

No one knows what tomorrow brings...
One can only wish and believe...
I have abounding faith that God will take care of me,
And bring the right person into my life.

Could it be you?
Time will tell...
I feel a special bond starting between us,
And so I’m truly hopeful that it is (you).

When I First Looked Into Your Eyes

When first I looked into your eyes
each breath became a thousand sighs.
My heart drummed out a thunder beat
I glowed with joy from head to feet.
The hand of love had touched my soul,
as the bell of destiny began to toll.
The tide of love began to rise,
the world was filled with summer skies.
My sodden clouds of cold and grey
glowed with gold, then wisped away.
A brilliant rainbow arched across,
as waves of love began to toss.
The air was filled with lovebird cries,
when I first looked into your eyes.

When I first looked into your eyes,
all time and space were paralyzed
And in that instant, I was shown
a universe I had never known.
I dwell there still, in Paradise,
when I look into your eyes.

Everytime I Look At The Stars

I gazed in your eyes,
Such a beautiful blue;
My heart whispered to me,
And that’s right when I knew;
The waves had ceased crashing,
On the sand at our feet;
Time had stopped passing,
My search was complete;
I finally discovered,
What I'd known all along;
A mystery uncovered,
That just couldn't be wrong;
It wasn't our first kiss,
Nor' the day that we met;
But I realized something,
I will never forget;
With the stars shining brightly,
From high up above;
I'd one word to describe it,
That word, is love.
I knew then these feelings,
For my sweetheart were true;
The man of my dreams,
And my soulmate, is you.
I think of it every time,
That I look at the stars;
This memory is mine,
But that moment was
OURS.

Dreaming

I used to dream of eyes so blue
And loving arms to hold me.
I used to dream of heroic knights
And how gracious they would be.

I used to dream of how I wouldn’t settle
For anything less than best.
I used to dream of how he would majestically
Lay all fears to rest.

I used to dream of fairy tales,
How wondrous would they be
I used to dream of story books
All patterned after me.

I used to dream of a lot of things,
But the moment I met you,
I immediately stopped dreaming,
Because all of my dreams came true.

Sun Rise

The grey began to fade,
As the colours filled the sky,
The chill began to warm,
As the sun began to rise.

As the eastern orb rose high,

Like the colour of his eyes.

Dark turned to light,
Grey turned to blue,
Lost became found,

Cinderella

I’m standing on the stairs in a magnificent hall
Wearing the dress that I bought for the ball
It’s long and flowing, sparkling white
My tiara of diamonds shines in the light

At the bottom of the stairs you’re waiting for me
And I gracefully float down for all to see
You take my hand and touch my face
You’re the only one I notice in the expansive space

We’re now dancing in shadows of flickering light
Holding each other close, holding each other tight
You kiss my neck and then touch my face
Then kiss my lips in a loving embrace

Time stands still whilst we are together
Feels so good, it seems like forever
I look at the clock, that cannot be right
But the bells start to chime, confirming midnight

But there’s no need to leave
From the ball tonight
I’ll be with you my prince
For the rest of our life.

Words twist and tumble
Through my mind
But I can't grab the right word
Or the right line
So we sit
In silence
But it’s not uncomfortable
In fact I love it
You rest your head on my chest
As we lay here
Lovers entwined
Hearts tangled
You raise your head
And look into my eyes
And I see our love
Almost as if it’s a real force
I don’t ever want to lose this moment
You lay your head on my chest once again
And now I can feel your heartbeat
And my hearts skips
And I finally find the words I’m looking for
I love you

The reasons that I love you,

Inside Of Me

If you could see inside my soul
see inside my heart
you would know how I long for you
whenever we're apart

If you could see inside my head
if thoughts were things to see
you would know how I cherish you
how much you mean to me

In all the ways you comfort me
the way you hold me near
the way you know just what to do
to chase away my fear

The sparkle in your beautiful eyes
your smile, laugh, your touch
are just a few of many reasons
I love you oh so much

Knowing I can talk to you
about any and everything
and knowing together we will get
through whatever life may bring

I could search the whole world over
and this I know is true
I would never find another love
like the love I found with you

Though with each new day, each sunrise
we can't know what's in store
there is one thing I know for sure
each day I love you more

So if you could see inside my head
if thoughts were things to see
you would know I blessed I feel
to have you here with me

Key To My Heart

I had closed the door upon my heart
And wouldn't let anyone in,
I had trusted and loved only to be hurt
But, that would never happen again.

I had locked the door and tossed the key
As hard, and as far as I could,
Love would never enter there again,
My heart was closed for good.

Then you came into my life
And made me change my mind,
Just when I thought that tiny key
was impossible to find.

That's when you held out your hand
And proved to me I was wrong,
Inside your palm was the key to my heart...
You had it all along.

A Friend's Greeting

I'd like to be the sort of friend that
you have been to me;
I'd like to be the help that
you've been always glad to be;

I'd like to mean as much to you
each minute of the day
As you have meant, old friend of mine,
to me along the way.

I'd like to do the big things and
the splendid things for you,
To brush the gray from out your skies
and leave them only blue;

I'd like to say the kindly things that
I so oft have heard,
And feel that I could rouse your soul
the way that mine you've stirred.

I'd like to give you back the joy
that you have given me,
Yet that were wishing you a need
I hope will never be;

I'd like to make you feel as rich as I,
who travel on
Undaunted in the darkest hours with you to
lean upon.

I'm wishing at this time that I
could but repay
A portion of the gladness that
you've strewn along my way;

And could I have one wish this year,
this only would it be:
I'd like to be the sort of friend
that you have been to me.

The Gift Of Knowing You

There are gifts of many treasures
For both the young and old,
From the tiniest little trinkets
To great boxes filled with gold.

But, put them all together
And they could not stand in lieu,
Of the greatest gift of all
The gift of knowing you.

When your times are filled with troubles
Sadness, grief, or even doubt,
When all those things you planned on
Just aren't turning out.

Just turn and look behind you
From the place at which you stand,
And look for me through the shadows
And reach out for my hand.

I will lift from you your burden
And cry for you your tears,
Bear the pain of all your sorrows
Though it may be for a thousand years.

For in the end I would be happy
To have helped you start anew,
It's a small price to pay
For the gift of knowing you.

A friend who's always there

You remind me of a flower,
Pretty, inside and outside.
A reason why people smile everyday,
A gift to all.

You remind me of chocolate,
Luscious and sweet.
Someone people can turn to in crisis,
Loved by all.

You remind me of a teddy,
Cute and huggable.
Someone people feel comfortable with,
Special to all.

You remind me of a balloon,
Happy and bouncy.
Someone people can have fun with,
Enjoyed by all.

You remind me of a lot of things,
But nothing can compare to the real person,
A friend I can look up to,
Cherished by me.

The Gift Of Knowing You

There are gifts of many treasures
For both the young and old,
From the tiniest little trinkets
To great boxes filled with gold.

But, put them all together
And they could not stand in lieu,
Of the greatest gift of all
The gift of knowing you.

When your times are filled with troubles
Sadness, grief, or even doubt,
When all those things you planned on
Just aren't turning out.

Just turn and look behind you
From the place at which you stand,
And look for me through the shadows
And reach out for my hand.

I will lift from you your burden
And cry for you your tears,
Bear the pain of all your sorrows
Though it may be for a thousand years.

For in the end I would be happy
To have helped you start anew,
It's a small price to pay
For the gift of knowing you.

Cherished Friends

God must have known there would be times
We'd need a word of cheer,
Someone to praise a triumph
Or brush away a tear.

He must have known we'd need to share
The joy of "little things"
In order to appreciate
The happiness life brings.

I think He knew our troubled hearts
Would sometimes throb with pain,
At trials and misfortunes,
Or goals we can't attain.

He knew we'd need the comfort
Of an understanding heart
To give us strength and courage
To make a fresh, new start.

He knew we'd need companionship,
Unselfish... lasting... true,
And so God answered the heart's great need
With cherished friends... like you!

When you ask God for a gift,
Be thankful if he sends,
Not diamonds, pearls, or riches,
but the love of real true friends.

Among life's precious jewels,
Genuine and rare,
The one that we call friendship
Has worth beyond compare.

A Golden Chain

Friendship is a Golden Chain,
The links are friends so dear,
And like a rare and precious jewel
It's treasured more each year...

It's clasped together firmly
With a love that's deep and true,
And it's rich with happy memories
and fond recollections, too...

Time can't destroy its beauty
For, as long as memory lives,
Years can't erase the pleasure
That the joy of friendship gives...

For friendship is a priceless gift
That can't be bought or sold,
But to have an understanding friend
Is worth far more than gold...

And the Golden Chain of Friendship
Is a strong and blessed tie
Binding kindred hearts together
As the years go passing by.

Family, Friends, And Freedom (excerpts)

...We must stand together
And make the decision
To end all of those things
That can bring, division.

Family, friends and freedom
Must go hand in hand
With tolerance for those
We may not understand.

Selfish greed and violence
And the "world corporation"
Will surely, be the downfall
Of, the worlds’ greatest Nation.

9/11 was the day
We got, our wake-up call
And we must, do our part
"All for one, and one for all".

THANKS for being born here
(Or, coming here to live)
We must do all we can
GIVING, all we can give...

LIFE: THE UNFINISHED BUSINESS

The acts of men sometimes come so kind
And with such love do well express, yet
The deeds of men sometimes come so mean
And with great disgust is well despised.
These conflicts unresolved for times,
Someday, somewhere resolves to meet.

Between the times of history gone,
And the evolutions of future come
The present presents a balance point
In a mixing grill of settlement, where
Deeds and events do take their toll
In resolutions of investments made.

Mishap could be just a fair reward,
As life fortune is investment gained.
Opportunity could be just a means,
As occurrences are results obtained.
The pendulum swings to and fro,
Just as the clock ticks, tock and tick.

What goes on around and again,
Does come back again and around
Good or bad, it's all our choice,
For all our thoughts and acts today,
Are investments in the big game plan
Of this unfinished business of life.

Life Is A Vacation
At birth we started a long vacation
Some vacation becomes too long
Some there duration very brief
Whether long or brief we still vacate

The schedule starts at infancy
Some schedule are tight and others very loose
However we accomplish only what's destined

On this vacation we climb mountains
And make a descent of valleys
These are the contours of life
For it is filled with ups and downs

Life is a serious vacation
Where success and failures combines
Where some turns out wise
And others remain perpetually foolish
And another category remains on the fence
This the vacation of life

WHAT IF LIFE?, 12-08-02

What if life only lasted a day,
Do you think we'd appreciate it better?
What if life was like hell,
Do you think we would dream?
About a life like we have now?
What if in life we had everything,
Do you think it would get boring?
Why want another life?
Your life is perfect already

LIFE,

If life where the wind
We would travel the ocean
We would understand the seas
And every moment,
If life were the wind
We'd always be flying
Life would blow by without us knowing
Where would time go?
Would there be such a thing?
We would enjoy every moment
From a higher perspective
