If the current India A team which played the Eurasia Cup is what the bench strengh of Team India, then I feel we must brace ourselves for after-effects when some of the senior players might leave the scene.

Robin Singh a guy who maintains high standards, was left humilated by some ordinary cricket player those fringe players who are already in the India senior team. Robin Uttappa, Vengopal Rao, RP Singh & VRV Singh really let the team down with the careless game style.

The BCCI put these players into the A team to get them into the groove with more international matches, as they keep representing the senior team when the rotation happens, but what they showed was just the menatality of 'made it' into the big league and not to the treat the game on its merit. I am sure without these four India A would've fared far better. I hope the BCCI takes into account of how these 4 performed by the quality of performance & not by the quantity (runs & wickets) in their future decisions.

The positive from this tournament was very few from India point of view which was competed by 3 minnows of the 6 and India didnt get to play Sri Lanka. So the only team which had some quality was the Pakis and India failed miserably the second time around when it really mattered.

hey tommcat you have a point but i feel it is unfair to blame the bowlers as vrv and rp bowled quite well through out except for the final an off-day is possible for any cricket player of any grade

by the way what did any team gain anyway. it was called eurasia cup and teams like england & bangaldesh where missing and also it was a simple waste and money making exercise. neither did the players take it seriously so did the organisers.

Though it was a money making exercise it still was helpful for young cricketers and associate country's players to showcase & gain some experience playing international cricket. The tournament was a good idea to give fringe players a chance to play the game at a higher level. But as you said England & Bangladesh missing was bit bad.
