Hi all!

Why not start a discussion on discussing about some strange possiblities and their possible outcomes? Could be great fun with creative thinking...

Okay... let me start with the first one

1. What do you think of this - Dhoni practising a bit of bowling while Dinesh Karthik enters in as the wicket keeper...

(I feel Dinesh is a better Wicket Keeper and also given the power that Dhoni has, he will sure make a good choice for a good bowler! Just a thought... How will it be?)

Dinesh Karthik is a better keeper & also seem to be a better batsman, in terms of technique than Dhoni. But Dhoni by sheer power and cricket brain is now a established batsman/keeper of the team. He could struggle on swinging & bouncy wickets and also against top quality bowling attacks (ex. he struggled on lively pitches in India against South Africa). But though Dinesh Karthik has shown glimpses he has been neater behind the wicket, he needs to play more matches front of the wicket to prove he is a better batter than Dhoni.

As for Dhoni taking up bowling I feel its better we play him a proper batsman(incase Dinesh Karthik comes in), and Dravid need to think about giving Yuvraj/Sehwag/Sachin/Raina some overs .

Hey thanks Meghana!

Dunno whether Dravid would start playing like Dhoni or Sehwag... but after the shocking defeat in the second ODI against West Indies... I really hope Dhoni and Sehwag turn more reliable and play their original game! What do you say? :(

hey buzzbug,

My suggestion for 'what if zone - strange possibilities will be'

a) india win the toss and dravid elects to bat first
b) dravid goes back to his custom no. 3 or no. 5
c) we pick another batsman and allow yuvraj/sehwag/raina to bowl more
d) stop sending in pathan up each game and ask him to concentrate only on his bowling for what he was picked for (if they really want good left-hander on top, then call back ganguly)

* i have edited my previous post on this article, as it did sound bit irrelavent.

**i was bit upset that dravid pushed india's record of chasing bit too far and made as if india were unbeatable chasing.
