Though Schumacher is a living legend in F1, his career has always been checkered with controversies, the latest one 'cheating at qualifying'. Schumacher 'parked' his car cleverly on the corner when the qualifying time got over & this in turn made other racers unable to complete their laps.

Schumacher cannot be termed as a 'cheat', he used the rules cleverly. Why must all drivers wait until the clock stops to set their fastest time. They needed to do it before hand & also if Schumacher had a real accident what will they do then?

Its also harsh to drop him last on the grid, he could've been penalized 2-3 places on the grid or at the maximum 10 places (last place on the final qualifying session).

Yeah absolutely! Schumi just cannot be labelled a cheat. Mainly because he is such an awesome driver that he does not need to cheat to win! I mean, if he could finish 5th from 22nd place, why the hell wouldn't he have willingly started from 2nd knowing that he would have won comfortably and done something like 'deliberate parking'? All this is just nonsense. I am sure the FIA overreacted because of pressure from Renault just coz Fernando Alonso came 2nd. Anyways, even in the initial qualifying before this happened Alonso was never near Schumi's time. All this is just injustice to Schumi. But What An Awesome Drive From Schumi Yest!!!:D SCHUMI IS THE BEST!!!

if what schumacher did was wrong, then what will they say for alonso, on race he slowed down schumacher to allow fisichella to overtake him (which eventually didnt work out as they planned), is that right?

alonso is just enjoying all the good luck, time will come when he falls down very hard, and i am sure it will be next year at mclaren.

Schumi is no saint, but he can't be accused of cheating at Monaco. ferrari isnt that desperate! I'm sure F1A would have been much happier if he had just crashed. delighted if he had decided to back up into alonso. that would have been flavio's "fairytale" indeed. it is to his credit that he didnt and they push him behind to 22nd for that. but 22 to 5, only he can do that. that too in monaco. :D

oh and does anybody else think that schumi gets the worse of this "you cheated" business? always ms and ferrari are accused of the darkest deeds while what others do is just not noticed. for example, last race, at spain, when the safety car SHOULD have been brought out but it wasnt. wasnt that so in favour of home hero alonso? because a safety car would surely have upped ferrari's ie schumi's chances. i might even say that he would have won. yes this is a lot of what-ifs but the fact remains that all wasnt played straight there. (someone said the officials at the track are in some trouble for that but i'm not sure...)
and what about all the other teams letting one driver overtake the other? that's being a sport!

sm got what he deserved, he really tried to play with the rules.
alonso deserved the pole and he got it. sm must've been banned from racing 2-3 races his punishment was very lenient.

his punishment was anything but lenient. and you're right, he didnt get what he deserved, he was worth more than a 5th place finish

Hey, that was an awesome reply! :D Yeah u r absolutely right. Schumi definitely deserved only one place, the top step of the podium. He is the best and can't wait for him to give Alonso a fitting reply in the next race. I am absolutely sure if Alonso had not slowed him down mid-race, he would definitely have overtaken both Barrichelo and DC and at least finished 3rd quite comfortably. Schumi is simply the greatest and does not have to resort to cheap tricks or gamesmanship like Alonso and Fisichella  to make up places. KEEP GOING SCHUMI! HOPE FOR YOUR WIN EVERY TIME!:D

great reply pinknpurple, didnt get to see this earlier. schumacher deserved the pole as his mistake was unintentional and also the time ran out. it was bit harsh on suchumacher. anyway lets see what happens in silverstone.

come on people, take a break
what ms did was wrong and being a 7 time champ doesnt mean you are above sport. what he did was intentional breaking and it was for everyone to see.
