‘I am always offered negative roles’

Sonia Singh, better known as Dr Kirti of the serial Dill Mill Gaye is overjoyed these days. The vampturned-good girl is busy livin’ it up to the rectitude of her reel-life character. “After a spate of negative roles, finally, I have got to play characters that have no vampish traits. I am enjoying every bit of it,” says the vivacious actress. Sonia says she’s enjoying every bit of her role as Dr Kirti. “It gives me a high whenever I am addressed as Dr Kirti, who is obsessed with discipline while at work, but is totally bindaas the moment she steps out of the hospital. I just love the different shades of her character,” says Sonia. And she adds that her long-time wish to do a double role has also come true, as she plays the character of Kanak in the serial Naagin. The actress whose powerful performance as Kumkum’s daughter-in-law Antara earned her a nomination for favourite khalnayika at a recent awards show, feels it’s her curly hair and large, expressive eyes that make her an ideal choice for negative roles. “Whenever I have auditioned, the negative role would automatically come to me. To be honest, I enjoyed doing that to the hilt. It’s a challenge to play a vamp. There is a lot of scope to perform, play with the eyes and experiment with clothes and looks. I can’t play a dumb doll or do too much of rona-dhona like the sanskari bahu in the saasbahu serials,” chirps Sonia. But exposure and bold scenes are a strict no-no for her. That’s the reason she turned down an offer of a bold role with Amitabh Bachchan in a Bollywood flick recently. “It could have been the turning point in my career but I decided against it as the role demanded some very bold scenes. I steer clear of exposure. I want to be known for my acting skills,” says the actress. Sonia will soon be seen in a dance-based reality show. “Dance has always been a passion and this show will be a wonderful opportunity to utilise my talents,” she adds.

Ok karans article reads as follows,
Mirror mirror on the wall he is the hottest of them all,
Hottest guy on TV-karan singh Grover

Following tough competition from ronit roy, iqbal khan and sharad kelkar, KSG came out tops as the hottest male on the small screen. Interestingly, even Rajeev khandelwal, who quit Tv long ago suggesting never a return, was named quite a few times. However finally, karans boyish charm, hunky looks, and that "to die-for -smile" did the trick.

Karan, who had been working in the hotel industry earlier, made his Tv debu in the youth show kitni mast hai zindagi on MTV, when the acting bug bit him. Soon , he was also seen in solaah singaar, parivaar, kasauti, amongst others. But none can deny that he hit bulls eye when he starred in yet another youth show- Dil mil Gaye, thanks to which he enjoys a humongous fan following today.
Sadly this talented actor is not single anymore..........for hes dating the attractive actress shraddha nigam.

Shraddha Nigam is happy that hubby, Karan Singh Grover who was a total non-dancer has sweated it out and got his dancing techniques right...

Shraddha Nigam is thrilled and amazed at the manner in which her hubby and the heart throb of all girls Karan Singh Grover is sweating it out on the dance floor, preparing for the upcoming 3rd season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa on Sony.

"Karan is a total non-dancer, and I was shit scared as to how he is going to cope up with the high levels of competition in Jhalak. I accompanied him on Day 1 and Day 2 of rehearsals, and he just did not know the 'ABC' of dance. It's like you don't even know to enter the kitchen and you are made to light the stove, and if this is not enough, you have to get the menu for the day cooked (laughs)", quips Shraddha.

"He was not even dancing, to begin with, and that was scary. But hats off to the man, he does not even have a frown on his face with this tight a schedule. He manages to shoot for DMG, goes for his rehearsals, and even gets his six hours of sleep, irrespective of a niggling back injury that he has been carrying for a while now. He is God's chosen child, I would say", adds Karan's Baliye.

Shraddha is now simply surprised at the improvement Karan has shown. "I could not believe what I saw day before. All thanks to his will power and hard work, he dances amazingly well now. His choreo has worked wonders on him, and he has really got the right pace of dance", concludes she.

It is heard that the very talented Nicole, who partnered Ronit Roy in the last season of Jhalak will be partnering Karan.

Ask Shraddha about plans for Valentines, and she says "I would love it if Karan gets to spend the entire day with me. I want him to get me flowers for the day, and want to see lots of movies with him".

Are you all eager to see Karan on the dance floor? Well, the countdown to the launch of Jhalak has indeed begun!!

Karan and Shraddha celebrate their first Valentine’s Day after marriage

Tellywood’s most talked about couple, Karan Singh Grover and Shraddha Nigam, are also one of the busiest. They will be celebrating their first Valentines Day as man and wife but surprisingly, they have made no special plan whatsoever for February 14. This is because their work schedules will not allow them to.

“I guess I’ll be shooting throughout,” says Karan. He adds, “Actually, everyday at 11pm, Shraddha and I celebrate Valentine’s Day because that’s the time I come home. Soon after that, I rush for my rehearsals - after 15 minutes.”
Wife Shraddha echoes that thought saying, “Our love doesn’t depend on Valentine’s Day or an anniversary. For us, every day is very special. Whenever we get to meet, we try and make use of that time. Every moment we spend with each other is special. Life has to go on, so you have to make most of it while doing what you are doing. That’s what I believe in.”

She adds that since hubby Karan’s schedule is packed with shoots, she will probably tagalong with him to the sets. She says, “Karan’s day is filled with events and it's going to be hectic. I am going to accompany him and will try to do something during his breaks.”

Shraddha shared with us her favourite romantic quote saying, “Look into my eyes and tell me those three magical words, ‘I love you’”. As for her dream date, she says, “I wish that it were just Karan and I on a private beach, under the sun, with lots of candles and white flowers scattered all over the place.”

The new bride can’t stop gushing about her husband. Asked what she would like this Valentine’s Day, Shraddha says, “I just want to see Karan happy and smile everyday. I also wish that we should always be blessed with lots of happiness together.”

As for Karan, he wants V-Day to “bring us lots of love, work and yes, most importantly luck too,” he says.

The couple got married secretly on December 2 last year in Goa while they were on vacation.

My charm should get me points - Karan Singh Grover

The actor is all set for his first reality show with Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3. He talks about his hard work and many more things related to dance...

Karan Singh Grover has become one sensation with the youngster as Dr. Armaan. He has created waves with the show Dill Mil Gaye and is all set to do something new. The actor will be soon seen in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3 as one of the participants.

"There are reality shows which are very similar but Jhalak is something different. In this show there is not just Bollywood but different forms of dancing," says Karan.

There are more factors that made this actor go for the show. "Another reason is that here you don't have to dance with spouse but with your choreographer. One has to match with the accuracy and energy of the choreographer which makes it different all together," he adds further.

How easy or difficult it is for you when it comes to dancing? "Nothing is easy at all, every thing is difficult but I'm working hard towards it."

Which forms of dancing you have learnt till now? "Till now I have just learnt the basic of dance. Being a non-dancer that much is enough for the start. I'm excited to learn more and we have been given two songs for the initial episodes and is looking forward for the show to start," he chirps.

Talking about the judges the actor quips, "About Juhi I hope she is that lenient as I have heard about her. Whereas about the other two judges I am bit nervous. I have worked with Sarojji in Zara Nch Ke Dikha but have not danced. She is strict but I hope that I'm able to convince her by not making any mistakes."

"About Vaibhavi she is also very strict as I have heard and I'm hoping here the same. If not with my steps at least with my charm I should be able to get some good marks," he grins.

How many hours do you practice? "Well it depends on my schedule. Normally I rehearse for 4-5 hours but if I'm busy with my DMG shoot then its 1-2 hours. At the end of the day when I return home, Shraddha is off to sleep."

"I'm hardly able to give her time. Till the time I reach home she is sleeping and then in morning I have to early get back to my shoot. She insisted me to take the show and today I'm here talking to you about first reality show as contestant," he verbalizes.

Lastly, any message to your fans. "I love you guys. You mail and talk about me but this is the time to show of how much you love me. So guys please help me and vote for me," he concludes.

The show is all set to take new turn as Dr. Armaan and Dr. Shashank debates. This is all for convincing the latter that Armaan loves Riddhima and their love is true. Well it was an interesting debate but this time Shashank wins the race.

"In the past episode it was shown that Armaan place his tent in front of Riddhima's house. Dr. Shashank gets irritated and calls BMC to get rid of him and his illegal house. This is where Armaan thinks that the only way to convince the latter is to talk to him," says our source.

They call the media and go in for debate. "I'm not a public person but because of you I'm here today in front of media," says Shashank. Whereas Armman replies, "I'm here to prove my love to your daughter and you."

"The duo debates on many aspect of why they are right on their path but at the end it's the father who wins the battle. Poor Armaan is not able to persuade him. There is lot more stored in for the viewers," concludes the source.

Thus it's truly said that being in love is not easy.

Amidst all this commotion Lovely and Nana are creating the most confusion, the police don't want to take matters under them as there is media present. They tell Shashank that it is his personal problem and that they can't do anything about it.

Both Armaan and Riddhima want to be with each other and Nani wants all this to end. Shashank is upset at seeing his own hospital staff against him and tells them that he will finally end all this in an matter of hours. Riddhima continues to be upset as she is torn between her lover and father.

Nikita hasn't left the hospital and Abhimanyu smirks at the fact that she has lost her challenge; Nikita says that she has stayed only for Armaan.

The RJ enters the scene and a debate between the two warring sides is put forward. Debate is being publicized but Shashank is non committal. Anjali loses it when she tries to have a heart to heart conversation with her sister, Armaan for the first time isn't ashamed of his love for Riddhima in the presence of Shashank. Shashank accepts the challenge as everyone is of the opinion that he is scared of losing the debate against Armaan.

Sukriti Khandpal:

Who was your first crush?
When I was studying in St. Josephs in the 9th standard, there was a guy opposite to my school.

Why it is that mostly girls have crushes and not boys?
I don't think girls have more crushes. Having said this, I can say that at least when it comes to crushes, the girls are more loyal.

Have you ever gifted anything to your crush on Valentines Day?
No, I have never gifted anything to my crush. But I had gifted seven various gifts on the seven days of Valentines Week to my boyfriend.

Name three things which are a must to celebrate Valentines Day?
I would want to spend great time with my boyfriend, with lots of flowers and a good dinner

After the refreshing flavors of fun, love and friendship, Star One's Dill Mill Gayye will see some drama.. Also, the unit celebrates completion of 300 episodes...

Star One's Dill Mill Gayye, produced by Cinevistaas has always maintained their story very simple, when it comes to their fun tracks or plots based on friendship and love. However, for the first time, they are attempting bit of drama with the track between Dr. Shashank (Mohnish Behl) and Dr. Armaan (Karan Singh Grover).

Says Amita Devadiga, Creative Head of the show "This is a very nice track between the father and his could-be son-in-law. The debate between them is just a starting point to a new twist. The next one and half to two weeks will focus on how the chemistry between these relationships gets changed. What's gonna happen next???, will be the question and you will have to wait and watch to know more".

Dill Mill Gayye had yet another reason to celebrate as they completed 300 episodes on the 12th of February. They had a small party bash organized for the crew and cast members which was a rocking affair. "This was indeed a milestone for us, as we have come a long way with this youth-based show", quips Amita.

On the track ahead, Amita states, "There have been rumors that if Armaan-Riddhima get together, there are chances of DMG going off air as there is nothing more left. But you will see something really interesting in the coming weeks that will take the story to a new high".

Well, as for now, watch out for the debate that kicks-off between Shashank and Armaan on the 17th of February, as this will pave way for a very interesting track....

'Gift of Love' for our Onscreen Couples..

On this Valentines day, we are suggesting some gifts for our reel life couples of television which will enable them to express their love in a better manner!!!

On February 14th all across the world, candy, flowers and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St.Valentine and we celebrate it as Valentines Day! It is the day to recollect that world is incomplete without love and affection. Hence, one should express our love when given a chance and thus celebrate Valentine's day!

Even our small screen, "reel-life" couples wait for this day eagerly, as they wish to express their love for their better halves. Gifts carry your feelings and warmth for the person, and one wrong move or purchase and your love life could hit the rock! We at Telly Buzz have come up with a solution to help our small screen's much-in-love pairs in helping them find a perfect souvenir on this lover's day, which can impress and express their love to a great extent. Also we give our readers good situational songs to suit the mood of our pairs

Armaan–Ridhima from Dil Mill Gayye:A perfect love story, where they have seen Love to betrayal, even cried buckets full for each other. Just wishing if they had told their friends earlier, they would have gathered enough friends' support to tackle the future Father-in-Law? At the moment, he is hell bent to separate this lovey-dovey pair!! As they are already lost in each other's eyes and there is no space for any gifts, so why not take advantage of this day and gift Dr.Shashank a VCD of his marriage where both Armaan–Ridhima helped him immensely to win over his beloved??? This might melt the heart of Dr.Shashank and he might agree to their liking each other! Our wishes are with you both. And as far as the song is concerned, they both should sing "Dr.Shashank jaan ka dushman hai hai hai...mere jaan ka dushman hai hai, jab ladka aur ladki raazi.."

Karan: 'My smile will help me win’

Karan Singh Grover, better known as Dr. Armaan from Dill Mill Gaye is dabbling in another onscreen profession. The telly doctor turns dancer on reality show Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa.

And though the actor claims he’s all left feet when it comes to dancing, we think that he’ll have no problem securing enough votes from his huge female fan base.
Why did you take up Jhalak?
According to me, Jhalak is a very different reality show. There are a lot of international dance forms that we can learn from like cha cha cha, salsa and samba. I am very excited because I'll get to learn these various dances.

How do you rate yourself as a dancer?
0.5. Maybe after the first episode, I'll get 1.

It is believed that an actor should first learn dancing and then acting. How is it that you don’t know how to dance?
Mere khayalaat thode purane hain. Although I belong to this generation, I truly believe that an actor should be very well versed with acting and dancing is secondary. Nowadays, people learn dancing first and then acting but maine thoda ulta seekha, pehle acting seekha and now I am learning how to dance.

How difficult is it to dance without retakes?
It’s not really difficult for me to dance. I don’t have a problem in that area but I have a problem following instructions. If you tell me to do something in a particular way, then I’ll have a mind block to that. I’ve been that way since I was a child. I never listened to any of my teachers. If someone tells me to do something in particular, I can't do it. But if you tell me to do whatever I feel like, then I'll do it properly. That's how it is.

So your choreographer is going to have a tough time with you!
Completely! She is already having one; I do listen to her but find it difficult to follow instructions. She's very patient that way. What are your strengths?
I smile a lot (smiles) and I hope that helps me fetch some marks. That's why I am really thankful that Juhi is one of the judges.

Which of the three judges are you scared of?
I am scared of all of them actually, but Saroj ji is known to be strict and there's not much you can do about it as she comes from that background and she's been the greatest choreographer in India for a long time. I am just hoping that I make very few mistakes whenever she's watching me.

Who will be your toughest competition?
They are all tough; everyone knows how to dance. I mean, they all know at least the basics.

But you are with people like Ram Kapoor, who also claims that he is not a great dancer?
No, no! He dances. He’s going to show everyone that he can dance. He is really big but he dances pretty well.

Do you think that the competition will give rise to negativity between you and the contestants?
I don’t think that I come from that school of thought. I try and concentrate as much as I can on my work and I’m not bothered about what everybody else is doing. That's the way I've always been, I don't care about the others.

How comfortable are you with controversies?
Like I said before, I keep to myself. If I don't have anything productive to say, then I’d rather not say anything. I only say things when I feel that it's my place to say them.
Have you seen the previous episodes of Jhalak?
I watched last year when Ronit was there because he is a very close friend of mine. I've got the same choreographer as he had, Nicole. That's a good thing. So basically, I saw only Ronit's performances.

Who is your favourite dancer?
Shahid Kapur.

Are you practicing at home with your wife Shraddha?
No, I don't because I only get 10 minutes when she is awake. By the time I go back home, she's sleeping. I woke her up once and tried to show her the moves but she was too sleepy. I may teach her now.

How will you manage your time handling two shows?
I work all day, then I take a break for about 10 minutes and then I rehearse for about 3-4 hours in the night. I then sleep for 3-4 hours, wake up early and meet Shraddha before going back to work again.

Watch Dr. Armaan swirling to popular Bollywood tracks on Jhalak from February 27 (Sony TV).

Rishi is entangled with Priya - a new girl in his office, and has been in awe of her. On one hand we have Simar who is completely unaware of her husband's indecency, or should we say his cheating on her!!

The future for the show as could be seen is that Rishi & Priya may get together, and Rishi may seek divorce from Simar for the sake of living with Priya, since he feels that she is the one who has been giving him all the attention needed. And Priya is dumbfoundedly and blindly in love with a much married man Rishi! The question is will Simar ever know this whole act? And if she does will she opt out of this marriage? The answer is surely NO!, if we have gone through the world of serial syndromes.

She should get back Rishi and take out Priya from her life forever and should prove to him and to the world that 'A wife is always a wife!' Why not she goes for an extra-marital affair to teach Rishi a lesson?? Can this be the twist ahead? This could be a way out if they get time from small screen adaptation of the movie "Khosla ka Ghosla" to be shown in the show in the coming weeks!!!

Everyone is dancing to music and having punch made from organic white grapes and feasting on chocolate cake with chocolate filling, when Shashank walks up to Armaan and asks him for a word. When they go off together, everyone is watching them closely. Shashank tells Armaan that he was wrong to judge him so harshly and he realizes that he is the best man for Riddhima. He shakes Armaan's hand and slaps him on the back. And then, Anjali thanks everyone for coming and she and Atul announce their engagement. Everyone congratulates them and the group dances the night away.

JDJ: Behind-the-scenes gossip from day 1

The first day of a reality show is usually not very dramatic as tensions are yet to erupt. But Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’s first day was a bit different. Here are few details about what happened in the show which will air Friday at 9pm.

“It was not a very good day for Guahar Khan, surely. As far as her performance was concerned, it wasn’t bad. But she could not hide her issues with her choreographer and spoke to the judges about it after the performance. Hanif Hilal is Guahar’s choreographer. You will have to watch the episode to find out what happened right after that, but I will tell you that, by the end of it, Gauhar was in tears,” a source said.

“Most of the stars got their friends to support them. Hanif’s ex girlfriend Pooja Bedi came to wish him luck. It was Karan Singh Grover’s birthday, so he had his friends on the sets. However, he didn’t get too great a response from the judges. The surprise package of the evening was Hard Kaur, who was brilliant. Another good performer was music composer Anand Raj Anand, who asked Vaibhavi Merchant to come on stage to perform with her,” the source concludes.

Boxing champion Vijendra Singh was also supposed to be a part of the show, but cancelled at the last moment. So now, Baichung Bhutia has replaced him. And our source tells us that his performance was excellent, even though he got only three days to practice.

This year’s Jhalak has 12 contestants. So, six contestants will perform in each episode.

Mayank Anand returns to Dill Mill Gayye on popular demand…

Finally, the loyal viewers of Star One's Dill Mill Gayye can breathe easy as Dr. Rahul aka Mayank Anand is back to the show due to popular demand!!

"Yes, I am back as the audience demanded my return. It feels good to get back to the DMG family again", quips Mayank to Telly Buzz.

Dr. Rahul will arrive on the scene during the Valentines bash. However, when asked the actor about his entry, he states, "I am not allowed to divulge information on how my entry takes place. All I can say is that it is going to be very exciting and nice".

During his break, Mayank was busy completing the story for his book. "I have finished writing my book. Though I can't reveal much about the content as of now, I can say that the story focuses on the other woman in the life of a man. I am now searching for a good publisher", he states.

"Alongside, I was working on my painting too. So overall, this break has done me good and I have utilized it to the fullest. The reason I decided to opt out of the show was to give myself some time. Now that things are done, I am back to work", chides the actor.

There was a huge bash on sets when Mayank got back. "My co-stars knew that I am coming back. On the first day of my shoot, it was like a reunion as we had a total blast. With me coming back, the team is again complete now", he concludes.

Well, happy days are back again in the DMG family!!

Sony's Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3 had an enormous opening last weekend... Was it entertaining enough to have the audiences' glued?? Read here in Telly Buzz' First Week Report..

The first two episodes of Sony's Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3 were a whopper. A sparkling line up of celebrity contestants, three female judges who promised a whole lot of masti and two not-so-bad hosts, JDJ thankfully didn't make us reach for the remote, even once.

Compared to the earlier two seasons, this one has a nice mix of celebrities, whether it's the delicious Gauhar Khan and her groovy gyrations; Hard Kaur's tagda Punjabi punch; Ugesh Sarkar's magical moves; Ram Kapoor's lazy latkas; Karan Singh Grover's tattooed style, Mohinder Amarnath's masti and Baichung Bhutia's innocent charm – they are an eclectic bunch and fairly easy on the eye.

About the judges, Saroj Khan's new look, Juhi Chawla's pleasing persona and Vaibhavi Merchant's (though we thought she's put on a few inches) hatke style of 'judgment' – the way she described music composer Anand Raj Anand's dancing style was good fun. And to give them their due, all three of them didn't mince words when it came to passing their verdict. There were no concessions or considerations, whatsoever.

As for the hosts, while Shweta Tiwari's sizzling sexy avatar had the men in my house panting for more, while Shiv Pandit is just right – not overly friendly, just the right amount of enthusiasm. What we also liked was the very Bigg Boss-like Jhalak House where a few hidden cameras have been doing the nasty job of capturing the celebrities' true colors – Ram and Hard Kaur's colorful lingo, Gauhar's misgivings about her choreographer Hanif Hilal (she openly bitched about him in front of another choreographer and had the gall to deny it – tsk tsk, not done, sweetie), the so-called soft-spoken Bhagyashree's superstar-like tantrums (we mean she has only Maine Pyar
Kiya as her claim to fame, but she behaved like a diva); the macho man Karan Singh Grover's tattoo and stunning physique on full display; Anand Raj Anand's mischievous banter with Rosita, his dance partner; Parul Chauhan's sweet nothings with her choreographer Deepak (sharing a glass of nimbu paani, if you please) – it was full on masala and it's only the first week. Aage aage we are sure there is more in store.

While this year the current editions of any of the seasonal shows (read Voice of India, Sa Re Ga Ma, Nach Baliye 4, Indian Idol 4) didn't do as well as expected, JDJ has all the ingredients to woo the viewers.

Verdict: A bumper start, hope there are no speed-breakers ahead...

An overworked Parul Chauhan passes out soon after performing in this week's episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa ...
http://www.india-forums.com/tellybuzz/images/uploads/20090305000318_4.jpg
A sad picture indeed, as Parul faints...

Parul Chauhan, the chulbuli Ragini of Rajan Shahi's Bidaai showed her 'Jhatkas' along with choreographer Deepak and won praises from judges last week in Sony's Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3.

But the second week proved to be a disaster for the girl as she fainted soon after her performance and was to be rushed into the green room.

According to our source, "The girl has been shooting close to 16 hours for her daily soap. Reporting straight from shooting to rehearsals and rehearsing through the night has finally taken a toll on her. She passed out during rehearsals, but Deepak the hard task master did not let her get away with it. She fainted again during the dress rehearsals and finally gave everybody a fright during the shoot when she simply could not be revived".

Well, there were dramatic scenes on Jhalak sets as the mighty Ram Kapoor lifted Parul from the dance floor and took her to the green room. A doctor was summoned on the sets immediately, and the girl was attended to.

"The tension on sets put to hold the shoot for nearly one hour, and after the shoot began, Shweta Tiwari the host explained that Parul did have an option of quitting her daily soap, but her loyalty is with the show and hence had decided to take on both at the same time".

However, the result of the extra burden is there for all to see now!! "Things went haywire when Saroj Khan was reluctant to even give Parul the marks for her performance but was persuaded by Shweta to do so", explains our source.

How long will Parul be able to take this stress and move on in Jhalak, is something that needs to be watched now.

Lastl but not the least, our source says that "Deepak, Parul's choreographer had one request to make to the entire unit of Bidaai - Please take care of her and give some good food!"

Well, what's in store next for the Laadli Beti and Bahu of Television on the Jhalak floor? Food for thought, right??

Tune in to witness all the action on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa this Friday, March 6th at 9 PM only on Sony Entertainment Television..

The ‘other woman’ in Mayank’s life

Mayank Anand, better known as Dr. Rahul of Dill Mill Gaye, is a man of many talents. Those who mourned his sudden disappearance from the show would be glad to know that it was for a good cause. Mayank needed time off to finish his book. “I am in the process of editing my book. I have completed two drafts and will begin work on the third and final draft,” he says.

http://www.tellychakkar.com/y2k9/mar/5mar/mayank140.jpgTentatively titled ‘Love from the Sidelines’, Mayank’s book is about the other woman. “And I have written it from her perspective – that was the challenge! I could have written it from the guy’s perspective, but then that would not have been challenging enough.”

So when do we get to see his book on the stands? “Let’s see. I am talking to some publishers, but right now, I am still tweaking the book, making lots of changes,” he says. “I have set the book aside for a couple of weeks. It usually happens that when I return to it later, I feel like changing a lot of things. I am also in the process of getting my paintings together for an exhibition. Right now, only half of them are ready. I need time to paint the other half.”

Mayank’s paintings apparently started on a very spiritual note. He used to paint a lot of Shiva, but as time passed, his paintings got humorous – almost whacky. “I am planning a couple of whacky books as well,” he reveals. “But it’s too early to talk about them because they are in the idea stage.”

Writing-painting-acting. Perhaps he is going to spring a surprise on us in the music domain as well? “No,” he says. “I am not a music guy at all, though I wish I was. I wish I could play the guitar or something. But no, I cannot.”

So where does Dr. Rahul figure in all this? How did the comeback happen? “Well, I got a call from the production house saying that I should return and I did,” he says simply.

Well, Mayank, you are truly a revelation. Glad to see you back on the show!

Mayank back on Dil Mil Gaye

Mayank Anand, who became a household name as Dr. Rahul on Dil Mil Gaye (Star One) has now returned to the show. Mayank quit three months ago due to personal reasons but the actor is now back with a bang.

“YES, I am back. I entered the show on Monday,” says the actor, “the sequence was a Valentine’s Day party and Dr. Rahul’s entry surprises everyone.” Dr. Rahul was last seen leaving his friends and his lady love Muskaan due to a family emergencyMayank tells us why he quit the show, saying, “I was busy with other commitments for which I needed time. I spoke to the producers and the creative team but they said that it wasn’t possible for them to give me that flexibility. So we decided to part ways on very amicable terms.”

He tells us about his comeback, saying, “I got a call from the production few days ago saying that they want Dr. Rahul to re-enter and that they were fine with the clauses as well. All this time, I also realised that my fans missed me terribly, I was bombarded with several mails.”

Dr. Rahul has been away from the show for a while but he didn’t get used to the feeling of not being part of it. Mayank says, “I did miss it and I even followed it. I missed all the fun we all had on the sets. We would all hang out together too. Unfortunately, I couldn’t manage to visit the sets as it is very far from my place.”

And what kept Mayank busy all this time? The actor says, “I’ve done my masters in writing, so I was busy writing a book called Love From The Sidelines which is ready for publishing. I was also busy with my painting exhibitions. Acting is minor in my case. Painting started as a hobby but now I am seriously thinking about taking it up professionally along with writing and acting.”

Hard Kaur's tragic tale brings out the emotional side of Juhi Chawla!!

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 3 has started with a bang and the inaugural episodes last week were full of entertainment and drama. Last week, we saw the bubbly Hard Kaur bounce back and forth on the dance floor, and also were witness to her emotional moment when she hugged Mohinder Amarnath soon after his performance.

http://www.india-forums.com/tellybuzz/images/uploads/Z87_juhi.jpg"She cried in that episode and hugged Mohinder. When Hard Kaur is around there cannot be a moment of seriousness, but this side of her was quite shocking for everyone though nobody knows the truth behind it", says our khabroo.

Revealing the fact our source adds, "The reason why she cried in the last episode seeing Mohinder Amarnath's performance was that he reminds her of her father who she has lost. Her father and grandfather were killed in the 1984 riots. She along with her mother and brother had a lucky escape when they hid in the neighbor's house".

This tragic tale of Hard Kaur made one of our judges very emotional. "Juhi was in tears after listening to the fact revealed by Hard Kaur to her partner Savio. But the bubbly contestant quickly handled the situation by stating that 'Please vote for me on my performance, not for any emotional reasons,'", states our source.

No wonder why her mother dotes on her daughter so much… Well for that matter any one would do the same. Isn't it?

Just as things seemed smooth for Dr. Armaan of Dill Mill Gayye, who has been struggling all this while to convince Dr. Shashank to let him marry his daughter Dr. Riddhima, things will take a u-turn. Karan Singh aka Dr. Armaan who has finally convinced Dr. Shashank (Mohnish Behl) will have to go through another ordeal. And the responsible person will be none other than Armaan’s father which will be essayed by veteran actor Asif Sheikh.

Informs a source, “Asif, who was last seen in Yes Boss is an uninvited dad who rather than making things fine will make the situation worse. He plays a Casanova who checks out every single woman he comes across. Asif plays a lenient and friendly dad who comes to his son Armaan after coming to know of his love. Dr. Shashank who has been convinced about marrying his daughter to Dr. Armaan wants to meet his father to know more about his family. But when he comes to know about his Casanova image he is unsure about letting his daughter become a part of such a family.”

Asif is young at heart and has a touch of comedy. His entry will air on 9 March at 8:30 PM.

Telly Buzz gives you an exclusive sneak peak on the first elimination on the show…

Sony's Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3 has just taken off, but the show will see its first elimination today. Well oh well, the result turned out to be a complete shocker as one of the promising contestant, Bhagyashree along with her talented choreographer Toby was ousted today.

Our little birdie from the production house chirps that, "Ms. Tantrum queen will be eliminated in today's episode. Shilpa Shukla was there with her in the bottom two".

In the episode, the judges cast their votes to decide the elimination. "The bottom two again performed on the same songs. Saroj said that Bhagyashree was better today and my vote goes to her, while Vaibhavi rooted for Shilpa", quips the source.

Now poor Juhi was left in confusion of what to do. "At last she chose Shilpa but got emotional and cried on the eviction of Bhagyashree. The actress took her elimination sportingly and said that 'Shilpa deserved to stay back'".

The short stay of Bhagyashree in the Jhalak house was not that eventful. "In the first episode, the actress with her partner Tobby confused the judges as well as janta. The message that the duo tried to give was not so clear and even judges agreed with that", quips our source.

"In the second episode she did fairly well, but could not win the heart of judges as well as the audience. She performed on Sridevi's sensuous number from Mr. India 'I Love you'. Everything was fine but our choreographers cum judges could not find the spark in her dance as well as the chemistry was somewhere missing", adds the source.

Well, are you all geared up to watch the elimination episode tonight at 9 PM on Sony??

Mayank Anand who has got back to Dill Mill Gayye recently talks of his passion, and the way in which he feels relieved now that he has completed his book...

http://www.india-forums.com/tellybuzz/article.asp?id=4188

What are you passionate about?
Well, for me three things are very close to my heart – Acting, writing and painting.

What else are you passionate about?
I am passionate about eating (smiles). I am foodie and I love to eat a lot. But I can't take in the spicy stuff, and love to have bland food mainly the salad types.

So what was the feel like when you completed your book?
Actually the whole process of writing the book was good, and I was on cloud nine when I finished it. When we see the outcome of your hard work, we feel better, isn't it?

Which was the best time for you to write your book?
Well, there is no good or bad time as such when I was writing the book. I would say the best phase was when I began writing, and the happiest moment was when I got the end to my story after writing on and on for so many pages.

What were the do's and don't's that you had to take care of before concentrating on writing it?
Well, the first and foremost priority was to detach myself i.e. Mayank Anand from within me. The character mentioned in the book had to speak, so I had to get into the skin of the character.

If you intend to take one of your passions as your career, what will it be?
If given a chance, I would like to take acting, painting as well as writing as my careers. When I was a kid, I was taught by my elders that we should not narrow down to doing one particular thing, and should be well versed in trying out many new things. Going by the same philosophy, once I get my book done, I will again try to do something unique.

What are the things you like to do when you have an off?
I love to spend time with my friends and family. As I told you earlier, I love to hog. In fact, whenever I am free, you will find me in any of the restaurants eating (smiles). When my friends are around at home, we try to cook at home and try our all different stuffs.

How do you basically ease out after a stressful day?
I start my day with a workout in the gym. Whenever I get time, I read a book or meditate.

Do you believe in meditation and yoga for a healthy life?
I do believe, but I don't practice.

What are your priorities in life?
I would say 'Happiness' is what all aim for in life.

Who is your biggest morale booster?
My friends and family.

Dill Mill Gayye:

A very cute sequence during Holi in the show wherein Riddhima has eaten bhaang ke laddoo. Armaan takes her to his house and puts her on bed. He is about to leave when Riddhima holds his hand and says for the first time, 'I love you'. Armaan turns back. His face glows with happiness.. Riddhima again says 'I love you a lot and can't live without you'. Armaan sits next to her and realizes that she has fallen asleep. He says 'I love you too'. He puts some color on her nose, removes her shoes, and puts blanket on her. Riddhima is sleeping with a smile on her face. Armaan kisses her forehead and says 'Sweet Dreams' and leaves. Well, what a start to the cute love story!!!

do u know which actress wass a software specialist??

Shilpa Anand aka ‘Dr Riddhima Gupta’ of ‘Dill Mill Gaye’ (Star One) worked for five years in the software industry and has experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle. She has expertise in Java/J2EE application development and has been working in the E-Learning domain. Her clients were within the healthcare, travel, learning management and performance management systems. Then she started her glamorous career as a model and then slowly and gradually achieved fame.

do u know why mayank anand was disappeared from dill mill gayye??

Mayank Anand aka Dr Rahul of Dill Mill Gaye (Star One) has many feathers in his cap. The actor is a good writer and painter and has also done his Masters in writing from Chicago. He not only enjoys writing but he also loves painting which started as a hobby and now thinks about making it his profession. The reason why he suddenly disappeared from the show is because he needed time to finish his book which is tentatively titled as ‘Love from the Sidelines’ and at the same time he is busy with his paintings for an exhibition.

After writing-painting-acting will it now be music? “No,” he states emphatically. “I am not a music guy at all, though I wish I was. I wish I could play the guitar or something. But no, I cannot.”

Talking to Telly Buzz is Shilpa who says, "I recently delivered my baby and was on a break from the show. I don't know about my replacement as nothing has been informed to me as of now".

When asked whether there are chances of her coming back, she quips "I would definitely like to come back, but not so soon. My baby is just two months old. Maybe after a month or two, I will be ready to get back to the show".

Shilpa Tulaskar played the role of Nurse Padma who gets married to Dr. Shashank (Mohnish Behl). Now the real-life couple Mohnish and Ekta will play onscreen parents of Riddhima and Anjali.

On the quick replacement, our khabroo says, "There was an urgent need to have Riddhima's mother in the show and as Shilpa was not available, the channel approached Ekta for the same. She has already entered in last night's episode. The love between Mohnish and Ekta was seen on screen too".

When talked to Ekta Behl she said " Yes I have entered as Dr. Sushank's wife. We are working together on TV for the first time. I have already done TV shows like Junoon and Sahil. I am coming after a long break and it is a great experience to work with Mohnish as he is a great actor and I love to work with him."

Ekta was earlier seen in films like Awwal Number, Vaastav etc.

Let's see how much audience appreciates the real-life pair onscreen!!

Karan Singh Grover and Nicole seem to be making waves in the Jhalak House with their lethal combination...

Karan Singh Grover who is seen in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 3 and his famous choreographer Nicole seem to be making waves in the Jhalak House with their lethal combination, so much so that their closeness is certainly raising few questions now!!

As per our khabroo from the sets, "The two are a deadly combination when together on Jhalak. No wonder Karan's wife Shraddha Nigam has started dropping in at their rehearsals, and that too unannounced".

"Since the show started, the 'Charcha' of these two has been on. In the coming episode, the BT shown will be evidence enough, as Karan is caught giving a peck on Nicole's cheeks", adds our source.

Well, to top it all, Shraddha remains at the sets these days to give company to the duo, and also renders her valuable suggestions on dance too. "No wonder the guy who scored the lowest last week went on to bag the highest marks this week. Not only, did he get Rs. 101 from judge Saroj Khan, but also three whistles from the 'Teen deviyan' (Saroj, Juhi and Vaibhavi) who were very impressed with the act", chirps our little birdie.

With a great performance under their belt, Karan and Nicole are not complaining at all about Shraddha's intrusion during rehearsals, but wonder what the other contestants feel as they see Karan being helped by not one, but two beautiful women in the Jhalak House!!

Don't miss Karan's Salman Act this Friday, March 13th at 9 PM on Sony Entertainment Television..

http://www1.india-forums.com/tellybuzz/images/uploads/AE1_pic_thmb.jpg Mohinder Amarnath's fabulous performance this week leaves the judges, especially Saroj Khan clean bowled...

http://www.india-forums.com/tellybuzz/images/uploads/EEC_judges.jpgIt may not be the age for Mohinder Amarnath to bowl maiden overs on the trot, but the man who is almost touching 60 has been keeping the 'Teen Deviyaan' on their foot in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3 with his dancing prowess.

According to our source, "This week Mohinder performed on the very sensuous number from Garam Masala 'Kiss Me Baby', and his Samba form of dance impressed the judges like never before".

"However, every time Juhi felt he was reciting his couplets for her, it was actually meant for Saroj Khan. Saroj Khan who was gifted Mohinder's lucky handkerchief last week gave her share of compliments this week, as she parted with her trademark hundred rupees note. Well, if this was not enough she was heard saying, ' I am fida over you'".

"Juhi and Vaibhavi were also thrilled with his performance, and in fact Vaibhavi shared the dance floor with the cricketer as she grooved with him", adds our source.

For now, it looks as though the mutual admiration club of Saroj ji and Amarnath seems to be making waves…

Tune in to watch Amarnath's stupendous Samba this Friday, March 20th at 9 PM on Sony's Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa...

Ram is a male version of me,’ says Hard Kaur

With every performance, this hot chic from Punjab has left everybody speechless and stunned. We are talking about none other than British rapper Hard Kaur.

THIS Punjabi kudi who was actually been and brought up in the US and UK and is now shaking her leg in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3 (Sony, Friday-Saturday, 9pm) has garnered excellent marks from the judges and numerous votes from the viewers.

How has been the journey so far in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3?
It has been brilliant till now… When I signed Jhalak, I thought aiwee hi thoda bahot bollywood hoga but now I am very happy because I am getting to learn so much. Most importantly, I feel a choreographer is very important. When they gave me Savio, I was more than happy.

How is the co-ordination between the two of you?
Well… there is no ladaai, no kissing (Laughs). We both know that he is there to teach and I am there to learn and we try our best to give in our best to whatever we do. Savio is an amazing choreographer and we both will keep entertaining all of you with our outstanding performances.

You have been brought up in the US. So how did you manage to keep in touch with Bollywood there?
Everyone there had cable television there and all channels used to come there. During my time that is during the early 90’s Kishoreji’s songs were very popular. Pop wasn’t that popular that time. I was in school but then dance was always there in my blood.

How have been the reactions of all your friends from UK after watching you on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa?
They all have loved it especially my brother. He called me immediately after my first performance and said, “I thought all this will be crap but after I saw you, I was shocked… You rocked babes!” But my mom is very critical, rather I would say that she is the best critic and that’s what motivates me to perform better. But the sad thing is that my friends in UK can’t vote…

Were you interested in dance right from the start?
Right from when I was small, my mom has made me to learn all types of dances. I’ve learnt Bharatnatyam, Balley, Kathak and many others. In 1995, I started with music.

How did you manage to keep a track of Bollywood in UK?
As I said earlier, I always had craze since I was small. When I shifted to UK initially, there were not many Indians there. But I tell you the truth; today Indians don’t lack in anything... in fact wo sabse aage hain. Slowly and gradually I realized that even if you are an Indian and you are staying abroad, you don’t need to get scared of anything. Now times have changed completely, Bollywood has westernized a lot now and people there follow it that way and so did I.

Who are your favorite singers with whom you would like to collaborate here in India?
There are many to name… Lata ji, Asaha Bhosle, Sukhwinder, Shaan, Raahat Ali Khan and many others. I would love to work with all of these.

How is the atmosphere in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa House?
It’s real fun! Everyone knows that it’s a competition and everyone is busy dancing. I enjoy to the fullest as I am the same on and off stage. All of them are good friends but Ram, Anand Raj Anand, Mohinder ji, Bhaichung are great buddies. Ram toh is just like me, he’s a male version of me! (Laughs)

Have you broken any of the rules of the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa house till now?
No, no… we are very honest. We haven’t broken any till now and will never break in future too.

Who decides on your costumes?
It is collectively decided by Savio and me. Actually it depends on the song and the theme.

Who do you think is your toughest contender?
Among the girls, it is Shilpa because she is a great dancer and Ram is equally good amongst the guys.

How would you now rate yourself after two performances?
Earlier I was 6/20, now I am 11/20 and I’ve go till I become 50/20!

Any plans to get into acting?
I’ve been offered many roles in acting but they weren’t my type. I don’t want to end up doing rain dance types of roles… I took up Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa because it was a different type of reality show and the same rule applies for acting too.

Constant demands to bring back the original Dr.Riddhima aka Shilpa Anand back on the show has left the producers in a fix! Read on to find out what the producer of Dill Mill Gayye has to say about the ongoing Shilpa mania ...

It's been more than nine months since the popular Shilpa Anand was replaced by Sukriti Khandpal as Dr. Riddhima in Star One's Dill Mill Gayye. However, till date the ardent fans of Shilpa have not been able to accept Sukriti as the new protagonist of the show and have been requesting the Creative team of Cinevistas to get their loved actress back on the show.

Siddharth Malhotra of Cinevistas, in an exclusive chit-chat with Telly Buzz opened up on this and said, "The fact of the matter is that we (Cinevistas) acknowledge that Karan and Shilpa had a great chemistry going, and looking at the requests in thousands made by fans of Shilpa (most of them coming from India-Forums), we genuinely gave it a try to get Shilpa back on DMG".

"We tried our level best to get her on board, but the simple fact is that Shilpa is not keen on doing television anymore. When we requested her even further, she quoted a figure which was too high for any production house to cope with. To tell you frankly, her figure is so big that it accounts to my whole actor budget in DMG", verbalizes the Producer.

Having said this, Sukriti Khandpal who now essays the role of Riddhima has managed to garner her share of fans and is doing a pretty good job. "Sukriti is doing a very good job, considering the fact that she was asked to fit into the shoes of Shilpa, who had by then got very popular amongst masses. We really appreciate her for the way in which she held her ground and moved on", states Siddharth.

Answering the pleas of all Shilpa fans, Siddharth conveys his sentiment as he says, "We have our doors open for her all the time. And as I said, we did try to get her back, but things did not fall in place. If you people want to see her back in DMG, please see to it that your requests reach Shilpa and she gets convinced. We have no objection whatsoever to take her back".

Well, so can we say that Shilpa fans now know what they need to do to get their favorite back on the show??

This is Preposterous!!
How can they keep changing the lead lady , just like that??
Now Suku has cemented her place, and she does not deserve to be treated like this, how can they say " We hav our doors open for Shilpa" ??
I mean, Shilpa was fabulous, but if she picks from where Suku leaves, she'll be a misfit, the story has moved on, Suku rocks! And Karan won't like it either, coz he's super comfy wid Suku now.

http://www1.india-forums.com/tellybuzz/images/uploads/D92_jhalak3_thm.jpg After their scintillating performance last week, the duo came up with an average act this week...

Karan Singh Grover and his partner Nicole are given the title of 'Electric pair' in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Season 3. After securing near-perfect scores of 29 from the judges last week, the duo came up with an average performance this week, which left the judges asking for more!!

http://www.india-forums.com/tellybuzz/images/uploads/C43_KaranNicoleGif1.gif"They chose international freestyle dancing but had a co-ordination problem which upset the judges," says our khabroo.

Though the pair did score fairly well when it came to marks, they did not live up to the expectations they set last time. "They got 25 out of 30 from judges, but Vaibhavi and Saroj pointed to the fact that their synchronization went all wrong", adds the source.

According to our source, "There were some last minute changes made in Karan's steps, which affected his overall performance. Karan was skeptical about the changes and was upset too before he performed".

The duo used an umbrella as their prop which actually saved them. "Saroj Khan liked the way they used umbrella in the dance and also stated that it was unique. Vaibhavi told Nicole that being a choreographer, she could not afford to falter in co-ordination and she was the one who had to correct Karan and get the best out of him", adds our source.

Juhi was happy with their performance though. "She even went on to say that the duo was an electric pair and gave them good comments", concludes the source.

Well time will only decide whether this electric pair will be able to give more shocks to the janta and judges!!

Season 3 of Sony's Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa has a good varied mix when it comes to the celebrities taking part in the show!! The season has taken off on a good note, but the international fans of popular contestants are upset with the voting format as it does not allow them to vote for their favorite.

According to our source, "The channel and the production house have been receiving innumerable requests in form of fan mails and calls asking them to give the international viewers an opportunity to cast votes. Their inability to vote is in a way holding them back and they are livid with the situation".

"Contestants like Ram Kapoor, Hard Kaur, Karan Singh Grover, Parul Chauhan and many others have a huge fan following outside India, and fans from all over have been extremely disappointed by the move taken by the channel regarding the voting system", our source explains further.

Our source informs us that, "The channel and the production house BBC are aware of the situation and they are actually contemplating on this. But nothing has been decided yet".

If sources are to be believed, we might see international voting too as the show goes on, but whether it will happen or not, only time will tell!!

We tried contacting an official in BBC, who asked us to talk to the channel. When we called Sony for more info on this, they were not ready to comment.

As of now, the voting is restricted only to India and that too only thro' landlines and mobile. Even the online voting facility has not been provided for viewers in India.

Will the wishes of international fans be granted or not, is the million dollar question now!!

The duo talk about their life in the Jhalak House and clear the air on certain controversies..

Karan Singh Grover and his better-half Shraddha in an Exclusive conversation with Telly Buzz on life in the Jhalak House, his experience on the dance floor, about his choreographer Nicole and his so-called Dostana with Ram Kapoor..

How has your journey of Jhalak been till now?
Karan: It's been quite tiring work all day and rehearsals all night. The reason for rehearsing at night is that I learn steps in six hours while others learn in just two hours. I do every step 500 times as I can't sleep unless I get it right.

Shraddha: I remember once he came in the morning at 6:00, but now it's a pattern. I told him that he needed to catch with some sleep, so that he could be fresh for the day's shoot. But he told me that he had to learn a step and got back only after learning it.

Karan: If I don't get the choreography right, I keep doing it whole night. It is quite painful.

Shraddha: When I got married, I had a whole husband, but now I have half a hubby, just look at his size now (laughs). Thanks to Jhalak mujhe aadha pati mila hai…

Karan: I have just got ripped, that's it.

Shraddha: Yes baby all the maal from your body has got ripped. He has a bath in pain relieving ointment and his whole body is covered with that full night as every part is in pain.

Karan: It is still paining

Shraddha: He is working very hard seriously.

Which was the toughest round in Jhalak?
Karan and Shraddha: I think it's the up coming one of Rajasthani Folk dance.

Shraddha: First he said that the performance which went by was the toughest, as he had to lift Nicole. She has a good height.

Karan: And she is almost my weight so that was bit difficult.

Shraddha: He told me that he was lifting his own weight.

Karan: Every week Nicole tries to put me wrong, if I say this is the toughest. They very next week she gives me something tougher, as she likes to kill me.

Which was your best moment in Jhalak?
Both: When we got 29…

Karan: When Sarojji gave us Rs. 101; that was the best moment. I looked at Shraddha and she almost jumped out of her seat. I thought she will break everything. When I saw Nicole, she had tears in her eyes and I was like in this dream world and was wondering of what's happening to me.
Shraddha: I'm happy as at that point of time, judges lifted Karan. It was very important at that point of time as Karan does not have that much of confidence in his dancing ability and always has a question mark of how it is going or looking etc. I believe he dances well and everyone do, but that whistle and that money reward made him believe that 'Yes I can dance too'.

Can you tell us about your embarrassing moment in Jhalak?
Karan: When I came out to do my first performance, I was like a cool dude as my song was Bachna Aae Haseeno… and had that sports bike. For the first five minutes, it did not start. I was kick starting but it did not start at all and I was quite embarrassed. Every one was looking at me, even the judges and they must have thought that he is a cool guy, but then the bike didn't start.

Shraddha: It did not affect his performance, but threw him off a bit.

We can see the inputs of your choreographer, but what kind of input your wife has given?
Karan: She said earlier that she is the perfectionist. I don't care much of where my hands are going or whether it's pointed or not. But Shraddha is all into the right positioning of the hand. If it should be pointed then it has to be. She just loves dancing so much that if I do it wrong, then it's an insult.

Shraddha: It's too much hard work in choreography.

Karan: So even I do

Shraddha: But if you don't do it right, then it's not effective. He is a bully and he does it to everyone, so I and Nicole gang up. If he doesn't listen to me then Nicole take cares of it and it's vice versa. You need one back up for him as he is a bully.

Karan: I don't do that man

Shraddha: Yes you do

Karan: Shutup or I will hang you upside down.

Shraddha: See what I meant. He is a charmer and he does it with charm that no one comes to know that he is bullying you.

Karan: That's not true as I do everything that they tell me.

Is Karan a prankster?
Shraddha: Yes he is a prankster, but he is a nice guy and has a big heart. If he likes people he hugs them and that's the quality about him that I love.

Karan: Its not only me man, Sardars are like this, very physical kind of people.
Shraddha: He has a big heart and if some one is dear to him, then he hugs that person like a teddy bear. In Jhalak house apart from dancing, he does not do too much of pranks.

Karan: I don't have time for pranks. If Jhalak was about performing Marshall Arts it would have been easier for me. But it's about dancing and I'm not so much comfortable with it.

Shraddha: We end up having lots of fun though it's not shown and I wish it was. Ram, Marischa, Me, Karan, Nicole and Sexy Singh (Deepak) have fun. There is a mutual admiration society going on where they call Deepak Sexy Singh.

Karan: Its Deepak, Parul's chorographer and I love him man.

Shraddha: They both call each other sexy singh, there is no creativity over here.

Karan: I also love Fatty, (Ram)

Who is you best pal in Jhalak?
Shraddha: It's Nicole

Karan: Ya she is as we have almost adopted her. She lives with us all the time. Besides her it's Ram as I love that guy. I love him and I can't live without him. I have to see him everyday.

Shraddha: Should I leave (grins)

Karan: You can't run away from the truth (laughs). Gautami I'm sorry. I know why you love him and why you married him, I envy you.

Shraddha: Ram is a sweet heart and is too cute.

Karan: He is fat and has a big mouth, but has also got a heart of Gold.

Shraddha: I'm voting for him also.

Karan: Ya she sent me 30 votes and 20 votes to Ram.

Shraddha: I'm partial to Karan but I also vote for Ram.

Karan: He gives more votes to me than you do.

What are your expectations from the show?
Karan: I'm expecting a lot of ass whopping from Nicole because with every round, things get tougher and tougher. Every time I feel that we cannot have more steps, but she proves me wrong. The one we will be performing, Rajasthani folk, it's so fast and freaky.

Shraddha: There is no space in Nicole's choreography as she never leaves a beat.

Karan: If I miss one beat then I will miss next ten steps.

Both: She is a fabulous choreographer.

There had been lots of controversy surrounding you and Nicole?
Karan: It's perspective, its how one looks at things and how you want to portray them. Either portray some one in the true light that they are in, or portray some one in the light that you want them to be seen. Its sad that lot of people want to hide the truth and make some friction in their own sense as this is 'Reality'. It's ok as I understand what is happening.

Shraddha: I understand why they are doing this. I know its a reality show and it needs some spice in it. Every time they show those AV's I start laughing and the camera is on my face.

Karan: We have seen of how it is edited and have lots of fun while watching it.

Shraddha: When I look at it I know what exactly happened. I find it very funny. But now I think I should be angry na.

Karan: That will work better for them

Shraddha: We know we are in game, so it's fine. I know him, he knows me and we know Nicole.

Karan: Nicole is seriously like family. I had a chat with her father and I told him that if ever you get bored with her I'm ready to adopt her.

Shraddha: I was really surprised when he said that. Nicole is like our family but now I think I need to be serious.

Karan: You should be

Shraddha: No if I do that then they will think that I am jealous.

Any message to you fans on India-Forums?
Karan: I would like to thank them. This is unconditional love.

Shraddha: Love us. I know as I read it every day on Indian Forums. The love that you show makes me jealous man. I would love to say what you all say.

Karan: No as she is busy, ready you all guys.

Shraddha: You give Karan that love and appreciation. Hats off to you. You guys are all around him. With you around him, I feel secure and believe that nothing can touch him. Thank you.

Dil ka doctor
TV hottie, Karan Grover, many a young girls’ heart-throb Dr. Armaan, in an informal chat.

• What is Dr. Armaan Mallik going to do next?

I seriously don’t know... Dill Mill Gayye is a daily soap man! Armaan’s journey with Riddhima (Sukriti Khandpal) will of course, continue. But yeah, no one’s dying or coming back to life or anything of that sort.

• Which contestants on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa do you feel perform better than you?

Oh the women are all so much better. They are totally comfortable with their steps. What they learn in one hour takes me five. Gauhar Khan, Hard Kaur and Parul Chauhan are great dancers.

• Do you believe you’ll break the trend of only female dancers winning Jhalak…?

I don’t know about that, but I’m definitely in the process of breaking my own mental block. I’m uncomfortable with dancing and Jhalak is helping me overcome that. Right now, I’m happy to win the expectations of the audience and my choreographer, Nicole Alvares.

• Your Salman Khan imitation went all the way in a recent episode, complete with removing your shirt. Are you inspired by him in real life?

No, not really. I love his films, but I’m not inspired by him. He’s fun, that’s it. But yes, he’s got to be credited for getting good physiques into Indian cinema.

• We’ve seen you act and dance. Are we going to hear you sing now?

Sing? No. But, I used to be the vocalist of my band in school. We played Alt Rock, numbers by Creed, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, and similar stuff. But that’s not what the Indian audience wants. So, no singing for me.

• Are you planning to progress to the silver screen?

(Smiles) Yes, I have signed a film. It is a romantic comedy, which has quite become my forte now. Along with me there’s one other actor and two actresses. They’re all fresh faces for cinema. It’s Vivek Mushran’s story and he’ll also be directing the film. My character is like Armaan, but has more of Karan in it. We will start the shoot in May.

• What’s marriage to Shraddha Nigam like? Any plans of starting a family soon?

Starting a family is an eventuality. We haven’t decided on the ‘when’ bit yet, but yes, it will happen soon. And married life is fun man… I don’t know why people crack so many jokes about it. Besides, married life means good food.

• Your next Jhalak performance is on…

I’m busy rehearsing Baawre from Luck By Chance, so watch out for that.

the best bodies on tv.............

Karan Singh Grover: His best feature is definitely his abs, which is one of the reasons girls go crazy over him. Proud of his physique, Karan usually dresses to show off his body. And if that’s not enough, he also sports a big tattoo on his arm to attract more attention from the ladies.

srry dont know how to enter the picture.

Stars and their tantrums! Time and again, we keep hearing these stories. How true are they? Well, that depends on how one interprets it.

Under attack is Karan Singh Grover, aka Dr.Armaan from Dill Mill Gayye, who is allegedly giving heart burn to the cast and crew of the show.

A little birdie informs, “Karan has grown bigger than his talent. He thinks he’s the one who runs the show. He’s seldom punctual and at time reports for just four hours. He’s been giving headaches to the producers. Things have worsened ever since he’s participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3. He thinks he’s going to win Jhalak.. easily.”

We called up producer Siddharth Malhotra but he refused to comment.

However, one of the actors doesn’t think Grover has had any change in attitude.

“I don’t recollect Karan behaving in any untoward manner. There are days when he’s reported for few hours but that’s because he’s juggling to bide time between Dill Mill Gayye and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3. It’s only during those days that he shoots less for us,” said the actor.

We tried contacting Grover and even sent him a text message but there was no reply.

Starry nakhras!! Don’t they all follow the same route?

First of all.....he is not at all going to win JDJ3.....to face the truth...he'll be out in a couple of coming weeks.......
Secondly.....if and only if he is showing this kind of attitude to DMG, which i m sure he is not doing, then he should recollect that DMG has made him what he is today and he has not made DMG.......thats all i have to say..........

Mohnish Behl says no to intimate scenes with Narayani; leaves Namak Haram

Narayani Shastri

It's a no show for Mohnish Behl. He backed out from TV serial Namak Haram because he wasn't willing to shoot intimate scenes with lead actress Narayani Shastri. He felt his fans wouldn't accept it, so after shooting for a day, he opted out.

To find out the truth we contacted Mohnish who said, "I was not convinced by the tone of the entire show. Also it didn't go well with my image. After doing work like Hum Saath Saath Hai, Sanjeevani and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun..?, I think my audience wouldn't have appreciated me in a role like this. That's the reason I opted out of the show. In fact I even told Meesha Gautam, creative director and producer of the show, that I was not informed about those sequences.I have a certain body of work and I wanted to do stuff which the entire family can watch together with their children."

Did Mohnish's decision hamper the show? Meesha said, "Since Mohnish was not comfortable, we replaced him with Sachin Tyagi. The story is about a couple who has been married for around five years and shares much intimacy. Mohnish thought that the intimacy was not required. There are no ill feelings. We have done some wonderful work in the past like Devi and Ek Ladki Anjaani Si."

Dr.Armaan switches to defensive mode

As shocking as it may seem but the truth is that Karan Singh Grover is struggling to keep his heart at Dill Mill Gayye. Apparently, questions are being raised over his commitment to the show. Few days back, we had reported on how the actor allegedly is giving a tough time to the producers. Grover was unavailable then but he’s finally broken his silence and chose to hit back at his detractors.

Before he gets down to the core issue, Grover wants to know from his detractors about the so called tantrums that he’s allegedly throwing. “Well, I don’t deny that I’ve been struggling to give enough time for DMG. I’m not so sure whether that can qualify as a tantrum but I’d like to know about my other tantrums,” Grover chides.

So, is it Jhalak.. that’s causing problem to the ‘Dill?

“Well, the problems have started even before Jhalak. I wouldn’t like to talk so much about it. Now that I’m doing Jhalak, it’s been a struggle to manage time for the two shows While, we only shoot once in a week for Jhalak, I rehearse everyday from 11.30 pm to 4.30 am. Then, I shoot for DMG from 12.00 pm to 10.00 pm. There have been days where I’ve worked for 23 hours. Working like this takes a toll on your body. Thus there will be days when your body will give up,” he explains.

If sources are to be believed, then Grover and few other actors aren’t happy with the way the show has been shaping. DMG is no longer the numero uno show on Star One and its TRPs aren’t so encouraging anymore.

When asked whether his relationship with the producer has broken down, he replied, “No, it’s not like that. These things happen whenever the show isn’t doing well. Perhaps, in times like this, one often looks for easy scapegoats.”

Apparently, there’s some talk that Karan could leave the show in the coming months once he begins shooting for his film. The actor though has rubbished any such possibility.

Says he, “No, I don’t see that happening if we can work out the dates. Jhalak.. is likely to wind up in early May. The shoot for my film will probably commence from June but it could also be pushed to July. Thus, I see no reason for me to quit television. All that is needed is effective time management.”

Star One's Dill Mill Gayye gets a new Dr. Riddhima in the charming Jennifer Winget..

Star One's very popular youth based show Dill Mill Gayye, produced by Cinevistaas will see a new Riddhima from April 13th, and taking over the mantle from Sukriti Khandpal is the charming and cute Jennifer Winget.

With this, the on screen pair of Karan Singh Grover and Jennifer whose chemistry was very much appreciated by viewers in Kasautii Zindagi Kii get together yet again to rekindle the past memories.

Talking about her entry in the show, Jennifer states, "It is great to be working with the Dill Mill Gayye team. Today is my first day of shoot, and I got a very warm welcome from the unit".

"Karan and I have been paired again after three long years. It feels nice to be working with him all over again; we have been great friends and our chemistry was very much appreciated in Kasautii. So we are looking forward to give our best", adds the new Dr. Riddhima.

Jennifer will be the third Riddhima in the show, after Shilpa Anand was replaced by Sukriti Khandpal nine months ago.

Commenting on the change in the lead character, EVP and GM of Star One, Mr, Ravi Menon said "After a memorable stint as Dr. Riddhima, Sukriti Khandpal has decided to move on from the Dill Mill Gayye family in search of other prospects. It was an amicable decision and with her departure, Jennifer Winget is the perfect choice for being the sweet, head over heels in love and innocent girl. We're sure she'll perfectly justify the role of Dr. Riddhima."

The replaced Sukriti Khandpal had to say this when we called her. "Well, the show was not going anywhere. The only progress in the story after I joined in was that, all got to know that Armaan and Riddhima were in love. As of now, I have few nice projects in my hand, and did not want to let go of it. I have no regrets of moving ahead; I know that I have given my best and have played the character to the best of my ability. I am happy that I have in the process garnered lot of appreciation from my fans. DMG has given me all the recognition it could have given, and there is nothing more that I can gain from it. Above all, I am happy for the fans of DMG who will now get a chance to see their third Riddhima. I had no adverses with Shilpa too, and even now I am glad that Jennifer has joined in".

Talking about the apprehensions of being the third Riddhima in the show, Jennifer states, "I will take this character as a very fresh one. It is like starting a new soap for me. I have no apprehensions whatsoever, and I would try my best to keep up with the real essence of the character. I know that with me coming in, the show will do well".

Well, we just hope the viewers now get tuned in to the new chemistry of Dr. Armaan and Riddhima...

Is Karan Singh Grover unprofessional?

Why is Karan Singh Grover continually late for his shoots?

KARAN Singh Grover may be television's latest heartthrob, but as far as the crew on his show Dil Mil Gaye (Star One) is concerned, his behaviour is far from endearing. A unit member reveals Karan is not one for punctuality and often arrives late to shoots. What's more, the actor can only spare four hours at the shoot.

An elusive Karan, who is known to avoid the press, was unavailable for comment. His wife Shraddha set the record straight.

She says, “Only Karan knows what it is like to struggle between both his shows. It is very tough for him. I don’t know who has been saying that he doesn’t give enough time to Dil Mil Gaye but as far as the production house is concerned, he settled all the details with them before he signed on for Jhalak.”

Shraddha insists that the production house of the serial has expressed no problems with Karan. She adds, “The production house is fine with everything and they have not complained about Karan’s timings. They have already worked out how they will manage his track. He shares a very good rapport with them. Even Jhalak’s production house is very cooperative. So there are absolutely no problems between him and the production houses. If he wants to grow career-wise, he needs to try new things.”

The actress believes that rumours are part and parcel of the industry. She says, “These things do not affect us. If people are talking, let them talk. We are clear about what we are doing and are honest about our work. We are not concerned about what other people say.”

Talking about Karan’s last performance on Jhalak, where the actor did the salsa blindfolded, she says, “For me, it was his best performance so far.” As for the judges’ accusations that his choreographer Nicole was peeping from her blindfold, she says, “The fact is that her blindfold was falling on her bun and so she adjusted it during the performance. Her lashes were also hurting. That caused confusion in judges’ minds and they felt that she could see. But if she could see from beneath, she would have looked downward, not upward.”

Shraddha adds, “They struggled a lot during their practices. Karan in fact told me that if he kept on practicing with that blindfold, he would faint. But he is always confident about his dancing. He says he is here to perform and the judges are just doing their job. He respects them. That is why he said that would perform again and they could tie the blindfolds themselves.”

The devoted wife does not feel that the incident will hamper the public’s opinion of her husband and their votes for him in any way. She says, “The need masala on reality shows and that is why they show these things. We get amused by this but I think that his fans will not doubt him as he was willing to perform again.”

A page from the personal diary of Sukirti Khandpal

Finally I have quit Dill Mill Gaye. Initially though every one was shocked with my decision but I thank God that everything is settled now. They have got their new Riddhima and I am looking out for some new projects.

I still remember the very first day of my shoot on Dill Mill Gaye. I was wearing a salwar-suit and that too for the first time in my life. It was an amazing experience. I had curly hair but I got them straightened because Riddhima’s character demanded that. Slowly, I started enjoying myself on the sets and now everyone was my friend. We used to do some unusual things on the sets like singing a song in a child’s voice. This was funny but enjoyable. Once I was told to act like a kid, I did that so well that everyone started praising me.

I will miss Sonia Singh aka Dr. Kirti Mehra, my best friend on the sets of Dill Mill Gaye. We used to go to a restaurant Sheetal Samudra to chill and used to sit there until we were called again. There had been a lot of funny and sad incidents that would take me really long to describe.

Everyone was sad on the last day of my shoot. We are still good friends but the fact is I do not want to work in Dill Mill Gaye again.

If you thought that finding a new Riddhima for Dill Mill Gaye was a cake walk then you are mistaken. The production house went through a grind trying to find a new face to replace Sukirti. By now we all know that Jennifer is the new face but it was after a lot of hits and misses that Cinevistaas got their new doctor. Let us tell you who was hit and who was missed.

Remember Shilpa Anand? To refresh your memory she was the very first Riddhima of Dill Mill Gaye. By the way Jennifer is Dr Riddhima no.3. Now it so happened that when Sukirti decided to opt out the search began and the producers thought of bringing back Shilpa who was very popular. But things did not materialize as planned as Shilpa reportedly quoted an astronomical amount for her return.

“Yes, this is true that I was offered the same role again but the producers were not ready to pay me what I quoted. There were other issues also which I can not discuss. But for me Dill Mill Gaye is a closed chapter now and I do not want to go back to the show,” Shilpa said.

The producer of the show Siddharth Malhotra confirmed the news and said, “I do not know what went wrong with her that she demanded more than what even Smriti Irani or Akshay Kumar get paid. I know she is a good actress but we could not pay her that much. I therefore got the channel involved to negotiate with her but in vain. So we decided to rope Jennifer in.”

All we can say is Shilpa’s loss was Jennifer’s gain.

'DMG is a closed chapter for me' - Shilpa Anand

Shilpa Anand talks about life after DMG, and her inclination of not getting back to the show...

Shilpa Anand, the original Riddhima of Star One's Dill Mill Gayye has not been forgotten by her loyal fans, who even today demand her comeback into the show.

The entry of the third Riddhima in Jennifer Winget has really made her fans upset, as they feel that Shilpa Anand should have been brought back.

Telly Buzz talked to Shilpa Anand who categorically stated that, "I had no inclination to get back to Dill Mill Gayye. But I got a call last week, and the channel wanted me to get back to the show. However, the production house was not ready to pay me what I quoted".

When asked her about the money she wanted and what the producers did offer, Shilpa said, "I really do not want to talk about figures in the media circle".

When we asked her about reports that she quoted big money, she quips, "I have had some bad memories working with the unit and thought if I had to get back after all that, they had to pay me the price. Having said this, I also maintain that I did not quote that huge a sum. Anyways, it did not work out. But frankly speaking, it happened for the good as I did not want to get back to DMG. DMG for me is a closed chapter. When I was there, the show was a hit. Even though I have not really followed the show after that, I have heard that the show is not doing well now".

"In addition to this, I have had many problems in the past with the production house and did not want to get into a tangle yet again", adds Shilpa.

Tell her that her fans look forward to her comeback into the show even today, and she quips, "There is something called 'Destiny', and life around me has changed a lot in the past one year. I really feel bad for my fans who have loved me to no extent. I love all my fans, and I have personally got lot of love from the character of Riddhima. I wish the show all the best and viewers a happy viewing".

On life, Shilpa states, "I have not been in the country at all for the past few months. I had been to New york, and returned just a couple of weeks back. After coming back, it was heartening to know that DMG was calling me back (laughs)".

Life has been a roller coaster ride for the actress. "I actually ended up breaking relations with my boy friend Parikshit Sial. We had been dating for nearly two and half years, but we knew each other from many years. There were certain family issues, and at times you get to realize certain things much later. Also, he had other plans in life and hence we decided to part ways", explains the actress.

Shilpa says she has moved on in life and is looking forward to more happening things. "I will surely let you all know if I accept any project. After all, I want to make my fans happy again", says the actress as she signs off.

God !!! The whole forum is filled wid shilpa's articles ... God noes wen all dis will end !!  ...

Recently Karan Singh Grover got caught in a tiff with a security personal at the Studios. Here is the actor clearing the air about the incident...

Karan Singh Grover who is showing his 'Jalwa' on the dance floor in Sony's Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa had a tiff with a certain security guard at the Filmalaya Studios recently, which has become a talking point in the media circle.

According to our source, "The argument happened when the security personnel did not allow Shraddha inside the Studio as he was ordered not to allow anyone apart from contestants, and this enraged Karan to no extent. Karan who is participating in Jhalak was there for his rehearsals when the incident occurred".

We called up Karan to know what the actual matter was, and he quoted, "See, it was a matter of dignity and integrity. Any man with self respect would have done the same thing. The security man was behaving very badly and was rude too. However, it was just a small issue that got sorted then and there. The production people were very co-operative in handling things".

Better-half Shraddha too echoed the same and clarified, "Wonder who is blowing up a small problem we faced, and making it look so big. All is fine now, that is what I can say".

All we can say is that, 'Bade Bade shehron main aisi choti choti baatein hoti rehti hai'...

It seems that Jennifer Winget has brought luck for Dill Mill Gaye. After a year and a half and two Riddhimas later Armaan and Riddhima are now getting engaged. This is really good news for all the fans of DMG.

Producer Siddarth Malhotra informs, “Yes, the audience will see both of them getting engaged in a couple of days. We are happy that after almost one and a half year they both are getting married but let me assure you that there will be major twists and turns in DMG but within the soul of the show.”

“Well according to me both the actresses who played Riddhima were lucky for the show. But it’s Jennifer who got a chance to portray this big moment of Riddhima’s life on screen,” Malhotra continued.

This development in the script is sure to have viewers asking for more

Dill Mill Gayye, a show aimed at the urban educated youth, doesn’t seem to hold much appeal to its target audience anymore. Viewers of the show, set against the backdrop of a hospital, are complaining that the pressures, drama, romance and personal relationships depicted between the characters lack seriousness, are boring and move at snail’s pace. In addition to this, fans want to see the original Ridhima, played by Shilpa Anand, back on the show.

PRODUCER Siddhartha Malhotra reacts to these comments, saying, “I cannot change people’s points of view. There are a bunch of people who like the show and naturally, there will be some who don’t like it. We have tried our best to make the show convincing and entertaining. We also try to move at the same pace as we started on.”

As for Shilpa Anand’s absence, which causes many of these complaints, he says, “We tried to bring her back but she demanded huge sums of money which I could not afford. I forwarded the request to Star to handle the issue but even they could not bring her back. She is a good actress but just because things didn’t work out between the show and her does not mean we are losing the show. Jennifer is doing well as Ridhima.”

Ridhima is presently being played by Jennifer Winget and till now, the character has been changed thrice, which is confusing for the show’s fan base.

Shipa reacts to Malhotra’s accusations of her wanting too much money, saying, “I have no plans to get back on the show even though they call me. When I was associated with Dill Mill Gayye, I had a lot of conflict which was not solved. I am happy and it will not be possible for me to go back ever again. As for the show doing well or not, I have no idea about it.”

But it’s not all ill feeling that Shilpa has towards the show. She adds, “It’s nice to hear that people liked my portrayal of Ridhima. It shows that I did justice to the character and I have won the hearts of the public.”

Some other reasons for the show’s down spiral could be a faltering script or lead star Karan Singh Grover not being able to give it enough screen time as he is busy with his other projects. To this, Malhotra says, “We have made many changes to the script and our creative department is leaving no stone unturned to keep the pace up. As far as Karan is concerned, he is a busy actor who is doing other shows so whatever times he gives us, we try and use it. And he is fair when it comes to keeping his part of the deal.”

Dill Mill Gayye revolves around the protagonist Ridhima, a 21-year-old intern, with dreams and aspirations of becoming a top doctor.

Karan Singh Grover is in pain
Heartthrob Karan Singh Grover had a blister in his right foot and now it has turned into a painful wound. Due to his round- the- clock schedule he could not treat it and now it has become a problem for him.

Talking about this Nicole, Karan’s choreographer says, “Actually he had a blister in his right foot. While practicing for a folk dance for Jhalak…Karan was bare foot and practiced so hard that his blister burst open and oozed out pus. But this did not bother Karan and continued to perform. Now there is some swelling and before every performance he takes pain killers and rubs ice.”

Here’s hoping you put your best foot forward Karan.

Cha-cha-cha for Karan Singh Grover.. By Rachana Trivedi | 28 April 2009

The actor scored the second lowest scores this week in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa..

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 3 goes down the memory lane this week wherein the contestants danced to the Golden Era of Music of the 60's. However, the favorite of all Karan Singh Grover and Nicole had a bad day in office.

According to our source, "Karan and Shilpa Shukla were in the bottom two. Karan performed on the dance form called Cha-cha-cha on the Dev Anand number ' Maana Janaab Ne Pukaara Nahi'. His entry was very filmy as he entered in a cycle, but ultimately failed to impress the judges".

"The teen deviyaan couldn't find anything new in their performance. Saroj Khan stated that the performance was good but there were no new steps. Vaibhavi said that they could have done better than this. Juhi added that the X-factor was missing in their performance and the duo should concentrate more as the competition is getting tougher day by day", adds our source.

Shilpa also gave a very thanda performance. "While Karan scored 22, Shilpa scored less than him", concludes our source.

The fate of the two is in the hands of junta now. Let's see who gets evicted this time!!

RARE FARE
Ek 'shaan'dar raat!
It was the sangeet of entrepreneur Vineet Mittal and Sindoor Thakkar the other night and boy, was there naach-gaana, shorsharaba! Their parents Rajkumar and Santosh Devi Mittal and Parashar and Shobha Thakkar warmly welcomed the starry guests, and then the entertainment began! Things started off with a chanting ceremony by priests, after which Vineet's best buddies Nimish and Sonali Arora kickstarted the song-and-dance affair with a special choreographed song that had dance performances by Shonali Nagrani, Shaad Randhawa and Arzoo Govitrikar. And then, to top things off, guests grooved to DJ Aqeel's music. Jackie Shroff sported his latest bandana look, Gayatri Joshi was there with her husband Vikas Oberoi while corporate honchos present included Neeraj Kochhar, Shalil Shroff, BK Goenka and Hemant Shah. Making rare appearances were Dev Anand's son Suniel and Emraan Hashmi's wife.
DOWN MEMORY LANE...
It was nostalgia time as Shaan sang a few songs from Dev Anand's movies, much to the actor's delight

In the coming episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 3, popular television actor Ali Asgar will the center of attraction, as he came, danced and won the hearts of the Teen Deviyaan... With the theme being songs of the 60's, Ali conned the avatars of Rishi Kapoor, Raj Kumar and Aamir Khan.

"Ali Asgar was the special guest who entertained the judges as well as the contestants with his humorous act in the show," says the source.

He brought the house down with his Rishi Kapoor and Aamir Khan acts. "He even did the Basanti act with aplomb. He is the only guest who could entice not just one, but all the judges on the floor to dance with him. His Raaj Kumar act with Saroj Khan was a scream," adds the khabroo.

His gags were outstanding. "The actor showed his funny side and made everyone laugh. With the battle on the dance floor getting tougher, he proved to be the perfect foil for fultoo entertainment on the sets", concludes the source.

Watch out for an exciting episode in the coming week as Ali dances on the tunes of 60's.

According to our source, "Mohnish Behl has been finalized as host and will be accompanying Additi. The show will bring together the perfect pairs with the tie-up with Shaadi.com".

We tried our best to get in touch with Mohnish, but he was busy with his shoot.

Sukirti Khandpal, who was initially seen portraying the role of Dr. Ridhima on Dil Mil Gaye (Star One) some time ago, had to leave the show suddenly. We recently found out why: she has been taking care of her elder sister who suffered a serious train accident.

SUKIRTI’S 23-year-old sister Bhavna met with a train accident last year in February and was hospitalised in the ICU for one month at Bombay Hospital. The actress tells us, “She met with a train accident near Mahalaxmi and suffered multiple injuries to her head. Her condition is termed as ‘diffused axonal injury’, wherein a person loses five years of his/her memory. Due to this accident, there were many blood clots in her brain but now she is much better.”

Khandpal stays in Mumbai with her sister as her parents are settled in Nainital. She says that in their time of need, it has been her boyfriend who has been a great support. She adds, “I was doing Jersey No. 10 when this happened. My sister is just two years older than me and before she met with an accident, she was working with a London based publishing house. It was a very difficult phase in my life because only my sister and I were here. Through that time, my boyfriend was the one who supported me. In fact, he has done much more for my sister than for me!”

The actress says that as she was busy with DMG, she couldn’t take good care of her sibling and now she is glad to be there for her. “I am happy because now that I am at home, I am able to look after her. She recently underwent a leg surgery and now we are working on her rehabilitation. This includes rehabilitating the plutonic memory and physiotherapy, which includes muscle relaxing exercises,” says the actress.

Talking about her sister’s condition now, Sukirti says, “She is recovering now. There are four stages of recovery. The first is the patient being out of her senses, second is when she’s just got back to her senses, third is when she turns very aggressive and the last one is the recovery stage. My sister is now in the last stage and in another 3-4 months, she should completely recover.”

Because she is looking after her sister, Sukirti says she will only get back to work after a while. “I am considering few things, if something interesting comes up, I’ll definitely give it a thought,” she signs off.

A recent misunderstanding between Sunaina Gulia and Pankit Thakker seems to have affected their friendship... Read to know more..

The on-screen fights of Dr. Atul and Dr. Anjali in Star One's Dill Mill Gayye became a reality when a certain misunderstanding lead to a fight between Sunaina Gulia ( Dr. Anjali) and Pankit Thakker (Dr. Atul).

According to our source, "The Dill Mill Gayye team has been shooting back to back as they do not have enough episode banks. One day, it so happened that the entire cast was getting ready to pack up when the production house requested Shweta Gulati, Pankit and Sunaina to stay back for a particular scene. The trio readily agreed to finish the scene and all was fine".

"But in the middle of the shot, Sunaina heard Pankit and Shweta (Dr. Nikita) talking and believed that Pankit was bad-mouthing her. Sunaina immediately grew wild and blasted at Pankit. There was a big chaos on sets and as a result of this, both the actors are not on talking terms", explains our source.

When contacted Pankit aka Dr. Atul, he said that, "I am sure that I wasn't at fault here. I refuse to accept this behavior by someone".

We got in touch with Sunaina aka Dr. Anjali who quoted, "This is very personal. We have worked together for so long a time now, and such things tend to happen. But all is fine now, and we still share a good working relationship".

Well, wonder whether things are really fine between the two!! Only time will tell…

Sukirti's back to work with Agle Janam...

Formerly starring as Dr. Riddhima of Dil Mil Gaye (Star One), Sukirti Khandpal had to quit the show to take care of her sister who met with an accident last year. Now, the actress is back to work and all set to make her entry on Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo (Zee TV) today. We caught up with Sukirti for more details.

How has the journey from DMG to Agle Janam been?

It has been a long and very stressful one. I was busy taking care of my sister, who has not been well for the past one year. She is much better now and I’ve finally started shooting for Agle Janam.

Do you miss DMG?
DMG will always be very close to my heart. I miss the show because I worked for it for one year. But I believe that all good things must come to an end. Everything happens for the best and here I am doing Agle Janam.

Do you still watch DMG?
Yes, I do and for many reasons: my friends are on the show. I know that at present, the marriage preparations for Dr. Armaan and Riddhima are taking place.

Are you in touch with your old costars from DMG?
Yes, nearly most of them. Sonia, who played Dr. Kirti, and I chat daily on the phone. I recently met Shilpa, who used to play my onscreen mom. Soon DMG will complete 400 episodes and I’ll be going to the sets to meet everyone.

Now that you’ll be shooting for Agle Janam, who will take care of your sister?
Her condition is much better now. Everyday, the physiotherapist comes to our place and as my brother has holidays, he is there to take care of her. Most importantly, I reside in Goregaon and my set is in Film City, so I’m close to home. I can come whenever it’s urgent.

Do you think that your role in DMG got you the offer for this show?
If you are doing a good show, you’ll get offers because of your popularity. DMG has helped me get this show if you consider popularity. But not character wise; the character I am playing in Agle Janam is completely different from DMG.

What inspired you to take up Agle Janam?
I can relate to the character so well that I didn’t even give it a second thought when the show was offered to me. Secondly, the show itself is so popular that anybody would want to be a part of it.

Tell us about the character you’ll be playing.
I’m playing Siddheshwari, wife of the male lead Abhishek Rawat. She’s a very young and innocent girl who wants to live her life freely and happily. She’s very bindaas but too obsessed with herself. She’s into fashion and is very well dressed.

The show focuses on the ill treatment of women. Have you heard of any incidents that relate to the plot?
I am well aware that there are many places in our country where women face discrimination. I really feel very sad and disappointed that our country is still so backward when it comes to things like this.

Are you happy with your look on the show?
Yes, my look is very different from that of Dr. Riddhima of DMG. I’ll be seen in a saree with heavy jewellery; it’s a very classy look. I’ve retained my curly hair, which I am very happy about. My look resembles Paro from Devdas.

Do you share any similarities with your character?
As I said, the most common factor is our bindaas attitude. And just like Siddheshwari, Sukirti is also very particular about her looks.

How difficult was it to learn the mannerisms and language?
I am still learning. It’s not easy but there are certain people on the sets who are helping me with the language. My onscreen husband Abhishek guides me. Even our director helps me with the Bihari accent. There are many people on the sets who are from UP and Bihar; I listen to them to pick up the accent.

Who do you get along with off-screen?
I just started shooting two days ago but I have gotten to know Ratan, who plays the lead, and Abhishek. We have become friends.

What else is in the pipeline?
Nothing, apart from this.

Sukirti will enter Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo tonight at 9:30pm on Zee TV.

Awww !!
Shoo Cutee !! :D

Waiting for the clock to tick 9:30 .... hehe !!

Thnxx for the article .. :D

Not exactly a article .. but ..

A caller tune can tell a lot about a person…well, at least about their taste in music and maybe their mood. So we called some of television’s favourite stars to listen in on theirs, and no, we didn’t just hang up after a few rings.

Sukirti Khandpal

Character: Siddheshwari

Show and channel: Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, Zee TV

Caller tune: No caller tune yet but it will soon be Chris Brown Forever or Sasural Genda Phool from Delhi-6.

Does your caller tune change with your mood?
Yes, it does. I’ll soon put Sasural Genda Phool from Delhi-6 because it goes quite well with the character I am playing on my show.

How often do you change it?
It was Chris Brown Forever but I don’t know when it got deactivated.

It seems that Dr. Atul (Pankit Thakkar) and Dr. Anjali (Sunaina Gulia) might need someone to remedy their relationship! The Dil Mil Gaye (Star One) costars recently got into a huge fight which resulted in Sunaina storming off the set.

A shocked Pankit explains, “We were working overtime as we had to shoot for bank episodes. Most of the cast wasn’t ready to shoot but it had to be done. Sunaina, Shweta and I had a scene together and between rehearsals, we got talking about some personal things.” He adds, “Suddenly, Sunaina misunderstood the entire conversation, interrupted me and started shouting at me in front of the entire crew. After that, she immediately walked off!”

Pankit is especially shocked because he didn’t expect this sort of response from Sunaina, who he has been working with for nearly three years. He says, “It was very unfair on her part since we’ve been working together for so long. I’m quite irritated with her behaviour.”

A source present on the set says that since that eventful day Pankit and Sunaina have been completely avoiding each other. The source adds, “They can’t stand each other and are being extremely formal. There are no casual exchanges between them anymore.”

And Pankit is not making any moves to make peace with Sunaina. He says, “It was not my fault and hence I don’t feel the need to go make peace. Also, I don’t want to give the fight that much importance.”

He adds that Sunaina should be less moody and more tolerant, saying, “You can’t start yelling at someone for no reason! Just because you don’t want to shoot for an extra hour doesn’t mean that you can vent your frustration out on anyone!”

We’re pretty sure this isn’t going to go down well with Sunaina. But let’s hope the two patch things up soon.

Shweta Gulati simply loves mangoes and junk food, and has had some embarrassing moments when it comes to her food pattern...
:)

Is there any particular dish you cling on?
In this season, my heart craves to have mangoes. Also, I am a total junkie, and love to eat Pav Bhaji, Sev Puri etc. You name it and I love it.

Which is your favorite sweet dish?
Rabadi

Your favorite ghar ka khana?
I like lot of dishes, but the best combination is Dal chawal, Dahi, Achar, Papad.

What is your specialty?
I cook lovely Mutton Curry.

Is there any food that you would not eat as a child, but eat now?
Yes my mom never used to allow me to have eggs when I was a kid, the reason being that my body is very hot, and eggs usually heaten up your body. But now that my mom does not stay with me, I eat everything (smiles).

What is the most expensive restaurant you have been to?
The Restaurant in J W Marriot.

Do you have food fights?
I am a very poor eater, and if you do not give me anything to eat, I will still go with it. I am not a foodie at all, but I love eating junk food. Having said this, I will fight for any of my favorite dish if required.

How do you start your day?
A glass of warm water with lemon juice and honey in it.

Do you drink alcohol?
Very occasionally.

What is the strangest dish you have ever tried?
I don't experiment with cuisines. Also I never play around with dishes and restaurants. I end up sticking to the dishes and hotels I like.

Do you get advised by people to follow a proper diet?
Yes, this happens always!! I don't eat at a proper time and don't usually follow a proper diet. So all tend to shout at me and I get loads of advices.

Any embarrassing situation you have faced while eating your food?
There are so many as I am very clumsy in real life. I have done many things in the restaurants, for example, I have fallen down with the food plate in my hand, I have accidentally poured cold drink on my plate while eating, I have broken cutleries in restaurants etc (laughs).

After roping Jennifer Winget the makers are now planning to cast fresh faces to play new interns in Dil Mill Gayye. There were rumours that the show would go off air and after this would come the next season of the show. Currently all we can surmise is that the show is going in for a revamp of sorts to help up the TRPs and get rid of viewer fatigue.

A source says, “Though Dill Mill Gaye is one of the most loved shows on television there are talks on for casting new faces because people want to see some fresh faces in the show.”

Adding further the source says, “Well things are on premature level as of now. The makers may or may not rope in some of the new faces. But the show is not going off air, it will remain as it is."

We tried contacting some of the actors from the show but they remained tight-lipped about the buzz.

The story track of Dill Mill Gayye will finally focus on the duo falling in love...

Star One's Dill Mill Gayye has many parallel stories going on, but lately we haven't seen much of Dr. Rahul (Mayank Anand) and Dr. Muskaan (Drushti Dhami) in the show. Well the buzz now is that focus will finally shift to them.

We called Mayank to know when we can see his love story brewing. "You will soon see me more in the frame but I don't know how the team is planning the storyline. For that you need to speak to the production team", says the actor.

As per our sources, "In the coming episodes, there will be a love track between Rahul and Muskaan. Currently they have been fighting and staying away from each other."

Elaborating on the storyline our source adds, "Currently the track focuses on Riddhima and Armaan. Along side, preparations are on for Kirti's marriage, and this is where Rahul and Muskaan will be seen in one frame after a long time."

"This can be termed as a turning point in their lives. In other words, it's going to be the start of their love story, but things will take place slowly," concludes the source.

This is one more interesting track in offer to the loyal fans of the show...

Sukriti Khandpal has come a long way from being the hot girl seen in micro minis in Jersey No. 10 to playing the complex character of Siddheshwari in Zee TV's Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, produced by Swastik Pictures.

Talking about her journey, the actress says, "Yes, it is hard to believe that I have had a variety when it comes to my roles. People close to me keep saying that I am lucky to have got different characters to portray in just a few years. I cherish Jersey No. 10 as it was my launch vehicle on television. And then came Dill Mill Gayye which gave me enormous popularity. Agle Janam makes me happy as it is a kind of role that I always wanted to play".

The one aspect she likes in her present character of Siddheshwari in Agle Janam is that she is allowed to keep her curly hair on screen. "It's a totally different avatar here, but the biggest plus is that I have my natural hair in my show (smiles). I had some initial problems managing the sari and heavy jewelry, but I have now got adjusted to it", quips the girl.

On her role in the Zee show, Sukriti verbalizes, "Siddheshwari surely appears to be a childish character, who is always interested in her hair, makeup, jewels etc. Basically, she loves to get all decked up. But there is much more to her character, as she feels upset over the fact that she is not able to give the family a heir. Though she does not allow her emotions to come to the fore, there will come a stage when she will start missing her husband. I really do not know what the creatives have in store for future, but mine is certainly a character which will have a long journey with varied emotions to portray".

Sukriti simply loves the production house and her co-actors. "Sushmitaji is very sweet; we all have a great time on the sets. I like sharing screen space with Ratan and Abhishek", she states.

The actress is excited over the fact that Agle Janam has been setting new records with its TRPs. "I have always got good shows, and I am glad that I am part of this show which is soaring high in numbers", quips the beautiful lady.

She wants to focus on Agle Janam as of now, so that she gets enough time to be with her family. "My mother was bit unwell for the past few days, and my sister is also on the road to recovery. So I want to spend my leisure time at home, being of help to them. But having said this, if any strong character comes my way, I don't mind taking it in addition to Agle Janam", concludes Sukriti.

This aint totaly a DMG article , but Its about Shweta Gulati ( Niki's ) Movie !

'Detective Naani': An entertaining ‘whodunit’!

Romilla Mukherjee spins an entertaining tale in her maiden film, 'Detective Naani', using as her protagonists, an old woman - the Naani is this case, a dog, two precocious kids, a couple of teenagers and, of course the cops who come in and help out solving the mystery. Detective Naani is the kind of movie which should appeal to both children and adults alike. There is a feel good factor to it as well as the old Naani manages to outwit the villains with her common sense and homespun logic. Through this simple whodunit tale, the director is able to talk about a serious crime, that of child trafficking, with an underlying message that the true heroes are always simple ordinary people like any one of us. In choosing an old woman, the Naani as her hero, the director manages to hammer in this point, but in a very gentle and humorous manner.

The story begins, like in the best of thrillers, on a regular day at the housing complex that Naani (Ava Mukherjee) lives in. The director very efficiently manages to build up her character as an independent, sharp and dependable woman. The mystery is introduced very early on in the film as well as Naani spots the face of a young child peeping out from one of the apartments above hers. Since the couple living in that flat are childless, Naani’s curiosity is aroused. However, even before she can solve that mystery satisfactorily, Naani spots the body of a young woman lying in the building courtyard one night. A body which subsequently disappears mysteriously, minutes later.

Since Naani’s story is laughed off by the CID, she decides to turn detective and solve the mystery herself. Helped by a couple of teenagers living in the building, a retired gentleman who spends the whole day peering into his telescope and her two precocious grandchildren, Naani manages to crack the mystery. But she actually treads into dangerous territory as the crime is something more serious than she would have bargained for. She stumbles upon a child trafficking racket and finds herself captured by the villains. But the ingenuity of her grandson, along with some timely help from the CID ensures that Detective Naani is the real hero of the day.

What really works for this movie, more than the mystery is the character of Naani and her very eccentric and yet very homely methods of working and solving the crime. Actress Ava Mukherkjee, who has played the graceful and doting grandmother in many an ad over the years, fits the bill of Naani perfectly. Her grace and gentle demeanor works wonders for the role of Naani. She seems to be the perfect Naani, someone most children and adults would easily identify with. Her methods too seem to be nothing extraordinary. Using her natural powers of observation, Naani is able to outwit the thugs. Of course, some of her methods are quite humourous, like the way she pays the sweeper to bring her the garbage from the flat above so that she can hunt for clues. Mukherjee is supported brilliantly by the child actor Zain Khan, whose detective hangup, saves the day for Naani. The other members of the cast like, Amrita Saluja, Shweta Gulati, Amit Verma, and Ankur Nayyar too turn in good performances and add value to the movie.

In all, Romilla makes a very entertaining, clean, fun film, which can be enjoyed by both children and adults alike. The most remarkable thing about the film is the many little details that Romilla manages to work in. Her characters, her neighbours, the grandchildren, the dog and the CID officers are very well etched. Shweta Gulati and Amit Verma’s characters as the two teenagers, are the romantic track of the movie. Also the romantic song between them may seem like a diversion but is an interesting hummable number. Also, she could have worked in the chemistry between Naani’s daughter and the CID Inspector a little more obviously. She introduces it, however the story goes on to explore the mystery bit instead of the romance angle.

In the final analysis, however, 'Detective Naani' succeeds in providing truly entertaining fare. A must watch and a definite breather to the movie-starving audiences!

Mukherjee is supported brilliantly by the child actor Zain Khan, whose detective hangup, saves the day for Naani. i won't dance on stage again:bhaichung bhutia

New Delhi, June 1 (IANS) Football star Bhaichung Bhutia, who won dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" after toiling for three months, says he will not dance on a stage ever again despite his victory.
"I don't think I will ever dance on a platform like this again. I will dance in parties at times, but never at all on TV," Bhutia told IANS over phone from Kolkata.
"I joined 'Jhalak...' for experience and now that I have won, I'm happy that it is over. I will get back to football now," added the shy icon.
Bhutia, who was paired with choreographer Sonia Jaffer, says he was not only an amateur performer but a "complete non-dancer" when he was offered the show. He says that he gave his nod for three personal reasons.
"When the show was offered to me, I was apprehensive about doing it because some dates were clashing with my matches. But then things worked out. I mainly wanted to give it a shot because of three reasons - for the experience, to overcome my fear of dancing and to fulfil my childhood dream of performing disco and to dance like Rishi Kapoor. A combination of these things drew me to the show," he said.
The Indian football team captain proved to be an underdog on the show, which had star choreographers Saroj Khan and Vaibhavi Merchant and actress Juhi Chawla among the judges.
Having started with some of the lowest scores on the show, Bhutia scored a hat-trick of full marks for his Rumba, a blindfolded salsa and international freestyle dance performances.
His personal favourite was the 'tapori' dance on "Dil ki guitar".
"I loved doing the 'tapori' dance - it was so much fun. I really enjoyed doing it," he said.
His improved performances apart, Bhutia's victory was backed by the many votes he got from home state Sikkim. The football star says he was "pleasantly surprised" by the support.
"I was pleasantly surprised that being a footballer I won so much support from people across the country. Usually cricketers are associated with such glamorous shows and TV viewers know them quite well. But to receive such a response made me happy," he said.
During the show, Bhutia was also slapped with a show-cause notice by Mohun Bagan, the club for which he plays, for missing their practice sessions. And in return, Bhutia terminated his contract with the team and told them that "I would not play for you any more".
Now Bhutia will get back to practising football and would go for exposure trips to Spain or Portugal to prepare for the Nehru Cup here in August
