Indians have picked Sachin Tendulkar & Dinesh Mongia into the team for the tri-series, was it the right decision to opt for, and also dropping Venugopal Roa & Robin Uttappa argues well for the future?

I personally feel Sachin will anytime be the immediate choice & Uttappa needs to step down, Uttappa has age on his side and surely he neednt lose heart, cas his time will come. Dinesh Mongia for long time now has been on the reckoning, he had strong performances in county & domestic circuit, but i feel instead of taking him back, the selectors should have given Kumble a chance for his extraordinary performance in the West Indies. Also picking up RP Singh back the selectors have taken a step back, they could've indeed given Zaheer a chance.

sachin deserves to be back in the side whenever he is fully fit, but dinesh mongia i think was a 5050 decision, hope he justifies his selection.

no issues with the selection , however they couldve included kumble in place of rp, i am sure with agakar, pathan, sreeshanth & munaf we have enough strengh on medium pace, also sri lankan pitches will surely aid spin more and having kumble on the side would've strenghtened the side a little more.

same feeling here, kumble must have been in the side in place of r p singh or dinesh mongai.
