It seems that Rajeev Khandelwal and Aamna Shariff have thrown in the towel and decided to go public with their relationship. On July 16 (Aamna's birthday), the couple strode in together at the Mango, Nine West and La Senza stores in Khar at 5 pm. Two kids, who were either from Khandelwal's family or Shariff's, accompanied them.
As soon as Rajeev and Aamna walked in, heads turned. Says an eyewitness, "Since it was a Sunday, the stores were quite crowded. So many people noticed them almost immediately. Most were quite amused that Rajeev had come with Aamna, because the couple has seldom been spotted in public together."
Ladies only
After a while, Rajeev left the store but Aamna continued to shop. "Seeing that most of the customers were ladies and many eyes were following him, Rajeev felt embarrassed. He decided to wait for Aamna outside," the eyewitness added. Aamna took a good hour to choose what she wanted. The source reveals that she ran up a bill of Rs 23,000 just shopping! Did Rajeev return and pay for her, or it could be her birthday gift from him? "No. She paid by credit card," the source reveals.
Shopping spree
What did Aamna buy on Sunday? Says a worker from the store, "She picked up bags and shoes from Nine West and a couple of dresses from Mango."
Meanwhile, Khandelwal was patiently waited in the car and looked after the kids. Thereafter, the couple drove off in Rajeev's car.
The worker from the store confirmed, "This is the second time that Aamna has visited this store. She came here last month too. Then, she shopped for goods worth Rs 20,000 from Nine West and some lingerie from La Senza. Unlike this time, Rajeev hadn't escorted her then."

Priyanka Bassi, Actress
How did you enter the TV world?
I started by doing shows for the serial Bombay Talking, in September 2005. I also did some Press campaigns. Later, I gave some auditions and got selected.
What are your current projects on television?
Currently, I am handling only one project - Left Right Left.
What character do you play in Left Right Left?
I play the character of Naina, a very strong and determined girl. Naina hails from a village. The story is about how she comes to town for further studies and later goes through many ups and downs in life.
Can you tell us something about your hobbies?
I like listening to music. I love acting and direction too. Other than these, I love shopping.
Your happiest moment so far is…
Well, I don’t really have any moment that I could term happiest. But I could say that I was very excited when I signed the contract for Bombay Talking.
What kind of roles would you prefer to play?
I haven’t thought of any particular role, as of now. I believe that an actress should be able to perform any role and not only concentrate on one.
What are your future projects?
I haven’t signed any more contracts as I want to concentrate on only on my present project. I have given my dates for Left Right Left. Later, when I am through with this project, I’ll plan something else.

'Aamna and I are just happy to be together'
Subhash K Jha
[ 24 Jul, 2006 2231hrs ISTTIMES NEWS NETWORK ]
Rajeev Khandelwal speaks out on his relationship with Aamna Sharif.
Rajeev Khandelwal and Aamna Sharif may not be sharing screen space anymore, but they are still regarded as one of the hottest couples on TV. On the personal front too, the two have been linked for a while now.
So, are they seeing each other? "I'm not denying my friendship with her," confesses Rajeev. "We're definitely very close friends. But at the moment, neither one us can predict which way the relationship will go. Right now, Aamna and I are just happy to be together. Who knows what will happen in the future?"
Recently, when Rajeev and Aamna went out shopping on her birthday, rumour mills worked overtime about their 'friendship'. "Of course I took her shopping. How does this kind of completely routine activity become news? I wanted to buy Aamna something for her birthday. I suggested that instead of me buying it, she should get something for herself. But she finally didn't pick up anything from the store we went to."
Rajeev insists there's no reason for speculation about the relationship between Aamna and him. "If we had anything to hide we wouldn't be seen at public places. I'm her closest friend and she's my best friend. So, why shouldn't I take her shopping? Just because we're recognisable faces does it mean we can't do normal friendly things? Or are you implying that two eligible people of the opposite sex cannot be friends?"

'Aye Aye Sir'
A new show that tries action formula instead of family sagas. Our correspondent finds out the storyline.
We hate repeating ourselves,’’ says Deeya Singh. So post their last success with the serial Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin, her production firm DJ’s A Creative Unit, which she runs along with husband Tony, sat down to brainstorm. ‘‘A military school captures everyone’s imaginations with its adventure and romance. Who has forgotten Fauji? In fact, the series was the an inspiration for our next venture,’’ she says. July 10 will then see Left Right Left , their latest venture, take off on SAB.
And like Singh said, there should be little of the formula that does the rounds with family dramas. Here, it’s camouflages for costumes designed by Provogue, pre-shooting tutorials on drill and march past and a whole load of outdoor action. The serial is about six cadets — four boys and two girls — at the fictitious
Kanchanjunga Military Academy (KMA) in Ambala, Punjab. Its story revolves around their tryst with KMA’s rules and regulations and their personal struggles. For the viewers it also seems to mean a refreshing line - up of some new faces.
Among the guys, Vikas Manaktala is not entirely new to the camera. In fact, it was a few of his tele ad campaigns — Yamaha, Reid and Taylor, Nokia N70 among others —that got him noticed, and saw a common friend introduce him to the makers of the serial. He plays Huda, the fun-loving flirt who adores his mother. ‘‘I had been offered serials earlier but I preferred the idea of being in this teenage story,’’ says the 25 - year - old.
Harshad Chopra left behind his role in Zee TV’s Mamta to become the very modest and co-operative Ali. Arjun Bijlani’s character Aalekh, the ‘‘bindaas dude who really didn’t want to be at KMA,’’ also grapples with a drinking habit. Bijlani learnt his first TV lessons with cameos on a few television productions.
For all those who will miss Varun from Remix, Kunal Kapoor who plays the character appears here as Yudi. He says, ‘‘Yudi joins the academy to make a mark in life. He is physically unfit but is a genius with gadgets. Yet his odd ways leave him without friends until he joins KMA.’’
Since KMA lets girls in too, there’s TV anchor Priyanka Bassi playing Naina, the all - ambitious girl of today and and Ghazal Rai taking on the role of Pooja, ‘‘the chirpy girl who wants to live out all her fantasies and dreams’’.
To help the six get into the mood, in May, the cast was put through a few days of basic training at Raigad Military School.
The actual shoots didn’t feel very different. Says Manaktala, ‘‘We would be up early and start shooting by 7 am. Between shots we’d have only 10-minute breaks for water and some fruit.’’ Set designer Neelabh Kapoor has created an academy ‘‘worth Rs 1 crore’’ in Film City and Powai’s Chitra Studio where the cadets have been going through army - style rigours.
There’s been some fun as well. Says Bijlani, ‘‘There was this scene where Kunal’s character Yudi has to hug and kiss me. It was the funniest thing we have done so far. We just couldn’t stop laughing.’’
For the rest of the cast there’s Rajeev Khandewal as Captain Rajveer and Puneet Issar as Brigadier Chandok who owns KMA.
As for the eternal fans of the Shahrukh Khan starrer Fauji on Doordarshan, this may just feel like yesterday.

Arjun Bijlani
Actor
How did you enter the television world?
To enter the television world I didn’t have to struggle much, but I did put in some sincere efforts and lots of hard work. I started with modelling. I also appeared in several ad films. My first serial is Remix on Star One.
What are your current projects on television?
Right now, I only have Left Right Left. This keeps me quite busy.
How do you relate to your character in Left Right Left?
I am playing a character called Aalekh who has suffered a lot in the past. He lost his parents during his childhood and was brought up in an orphanage. Being in bad company, he indulges in bad habits like drinking, smoking and doing drugs. He is a straightforward person and does not like dishonest people; this is where I relate to the character. Besides, I am short-tempered too.
Did you always think of becoming an actor?
No, I never thought of it. I did modelling initially and was satisfied with that. But four years back when I lost my father, I was confused about my career. It was then that I decided to become an actor.
Your happiest moment?
The happiest moment of my life is when my mother after seeing my first serial gave me a hug and said ‘son I am proud of you’. There’s also another incident that happened recently wherein an one lady came to the studio all the way from Pune only to meet me. She brought a book on which she had my photograph and asked me for an autograph.
Your future plans?
I am happy with anything. When it comes to acting, I don’t mind television, ad films or movies.

DJ's new show on Sab TV, Left Right Left, ropes in Priyanka Bassi, last seen as the lead in Zee Café's Bombay Talking. Priyanka signed on this new show just 15 days after Bombay Talking went off air on 13 February, but the petite beauty decided to stay mum about it till now.
"I will have a love angle with Rajeev" - Priyanka Bassi
"I play the character of Naina Singh in Left Right Left. Professionally, I am a RJ but due to certain circumstances and family reasons I join the army. It's basically a training academy," says Priyanka. To give an army touch to the show, the star cast has already had three lectures with an army captains. "This is not it" adds Priyanka, "We will be leaving for Mahad where an army setup has been put up. We will be leaving on Friday for Mahad."
DJ's coproducer Deeya Singh is not ready to comment on Priyanka's induction, however. "I don't want to talk about it right now," says Singh.
The main punch of this show would be a love angle between lead Rajeev Khandelwal and Priyanka Bassi. " Well, there will definitely be a track where there will be some chemistry between me and Rajeev, but I can't say much about it," says Priyanka.
Left Right Left is a story of six young hearts who join the Indian Army, and it's a complete journey of their lives. It's a different show, with a totally different star cast.
Stay clued for more....

Hi frnds!!!!!!!!!
As u all know dat Aamna loves Rajeev's singing so much & we have also promoted Rajeev as a singer. But today while watching TV Star of the Month on MTV, I get 2 know some interesting facts abt Rajeev & his singing life which I will love 2 share wid u all.
Rajeev said dat he always loves 2 sing. Once a singing contest was held in his college & Rajeev as he loves singing took part in it. He chose 2 sing d song Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas in front of d judges. He said dat there was a girl called Jasmine in his college & she have even come 2 take some singing lessons from him . She was singing d song called Bade Acche Lagte hai(dis r all old hindi film songs & many of u may not know abt them). So d helpful Rajeev did gave her some lessons on singing. Now when Rajeev went on d stage 2 sing all his frnds were shouting Rajeev.. Rajeev... There were all sorts of musical instruments kept there. Rajeev had only sung one line of d song that d judge stopped him & told him 2 sing wid sur & taal. He said dat he heard those words 4 d first time there. Then he again started singing but again after only one line d judge stopped him & ask him 2 leave. So Rajeev was out of d contest. But Jasmine whom Rajeev gave some lessons got selected.
So dis part time singer always don't have a vry gud time wid his singing.
After watching all dis I remember abt d Indian Idol, how Sonu, Farah & Anu Malik deal wid d singers.Though sometimes they r really harsh like dis judge in Rajeev's college.I know many of u haven't watched it yet so I just give u a vry small update. The whole int was hilarius wid Cyrus Broacha pulling Rajeev's leg evrytime & dis was d best ever int I have seen of Rajeev.

For the youth in you
It is an action-based youth drama made for the prime time of the revamped SAB TV.
A NEW OFFERING Rajeev Khandelwal and Shveta Salve in New Delhi.
A decade ago, this duo started their journey with a youth-oriented soap named "Banegi Apni Baat" on Zee TV. From then to now, they never looked back. Want to know who are they? Well, they are none other than Deeya and Tony Singh of DJ's Creations, who got you to take your eyes off that old saas - bahu saga and grabbed high TRPs with serials that have a sense of vitality. With big hits like "Just Mohabbat" and "Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin" already against their namesand also the recent Zee TV serial "Jab Love Hua" doing well ratings wise, Deeya and Tony have come up with yet another soap this week. Called "Left Right Left", it is an action-based youth drama made for the prime time of the revamped SAB TV.
Being aired from this past Monday at 9.30 P.M., the daily is the story of six youngsters: Huda, Naina, Yudi, Aleki, Ali, and Pooja. They have all come from different streams of life to Kanchanjanga Military Academy, a pre-NDA academy, with varied interests, dreams, desires and goals. It features how the six confused youngsters change into strong determined individuals and realise their love for their motherland.
The actors
Talking about his role in the serial, actor Rajeev Khandelwal says quite happily, "Nothing better could have happened to me. I feel blessed as I'm in creative hands." Comparing his earlier role as Sujal in "Kahin to Hoga" on Star Plus that of Captain Rajveer in "Left Right Left", he calls his latest avatar "closer to heart".
Joining him in the conversation is the gorgeous Shveta Salve, who plays the role of Ritu Mishra, a psychiatrist, in the serial.
"I am enjoying my character very much," she says, adding, "a good actor is one who experiments with different kinds of roles".
Adds Priya Mishra, Programming Head, SAB TV, "It is a show based on the youth and is not in competition for the 9 to 10 p.m. slot, as none of the channels address the sentiments of the youth." The producer-director duo, Tony and Deeya Singh are confident that the show's distinct concept will ensure its popularity, and viewers will be able to identify with the characters.

I want to be part of new wave on TV: Rajiv Khandelwal
New Delhi, July 30 (UNI): He is the latest entrant to the breed of "new wave" actors like Varun Badola, Neena Gupta, Rajeswari Sachdev and Niki Aneja who seek to bring a touch of realism to Indian television amid a plethora of "all black" or "all white" characters in most serials today.
His previous appearances on the small screen in 'Kahin To Hoga' and 'Time Bomb' may have presented actor Rajiv Khandelwal in either 'passionately romantic and sugary sweet characters or out-and-out action portrayals but his latest serial 'Left Right Left' has this handsome actor in a role with a "touch of realism" about it.
"Working in serials like 'Kahin To hoga' and 'Time Bomb' has been an extremely pleasurable experience. In fact, till this day, I cherish the trophies I received for these serials. However, post-'Time Bomb', I want to be a part of the new wave movement on television. Taking up 'Left Right Left' is for me a first step in this direction," Rajiv said in an interview.
Premiered on July 11 on Sab TV, 'Left Right Left' has Rajiv essaying the character of Captain Rajvir, an army captain who joins a pre-NDA academy as a training instructor.
"The character of Captain Rajvir is an extremely believable one. It is difficult to slot him in either a romantic characterisation or an action hero image. On the battlefield, this army captain is an excellent warrior with a never-say-die attitude. However, as the instructor of the young cadets, who have joined the institution to prepare themselves for a career in the army, he is like a friend and counsel to them, almost like a source of inspiration for them.
At another level, he is an endearing and lovable character for the women on the campus. In short, the character has several sides to him, just like it is in real life," Rajiv said.
In fact, working in 'Left Right Left', which deals with the Ilemmas, hopes and aspirations of the modern day youth, was for Rajiv, an altogether new experience. Part of it had to do with the fact that the serial is being produced and directed by Tony and Diya Singh, who have made pathbreaking serials like 'Banegi Apni Baat', Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin' and 'Jab Luv Hua', all of which in some way have broken the current sterotypes on television.
"Though, when first offered the role, I was initially unsure about what I was getting into, I now realise that 'Left Right Left' is the best thing which happened to my TV career. I've never worked with such a creative unit so passionate about everything they do.
"No wonder, everyone working in the serial comes across as natural and not a cardboard cut-out. Working in the serial, at no time did I feel that I was under pressure to bring out the required emotions experienced by my character," Rajiv said.
He may now be a sought-after TV actor but in college, Rajiv had aspirations of becoming a software engineer or an army officer.
"In college, I was like a typical modern-day youth, extremely confused about what to do. I was filling college forms but was not sure this is what I wanted to do. In this confusion, I also toyed with the idea of becoming a software engineer or an army officer. I even applied in the army but my form was rejected. It was then that i decided to pursue my passion-acting," he said.

'Attention, Drama ahead'!
They have always believed in going against the tide. Right from their TV debut, about a decade ago, with their youth soap Banegi Apni Baat to their latest Jab Love Hua (incidentally both on Zee), producers Deeya and Tony Singh have always believed in sticking their necks out. Whether it was Just Mohabbat (Sony) or a story about a nerdy secretary Jassi or even the latest exploration of the urban-rural divide in Jab Love Hua, the Singhs have not only managed to rise above kitchen politics but also rake in the TRPs.
The reason why we are giving them kudos: The couple is now ready with Left Right Left, a show that takes off on SAB next month about “six young people who join the National Defence Academy, some with specific goals while others for selfish reasons. It’s about how by the end of it they are all reformed. The theme is patriotic though it’s not in your face,” says Deeya. She adds that you need not wear your patriotism on your sleeve. You can respect the National Flag by saluting it and you can also “blow a kiss towards it. The patriotic spirit, I am sure, is there in every one of us. It’s just that how you show it varies.” The director says she definitely thinks her country is the best. “I always stand up when the National Anthem is being played in the cinemas.” Deeya says, “The one liner for the show came from the channel. The moment I heard it was set in a defence academy it was déjà vu for me because my father was from the Navy and I had always wanted to do something on the Armed Forces. Left Right Left will be my tribute to him and the forces.” Left Right Left is the title “because very often it’s about the various lefts and rights in our lives, the twists and turns that take place. It’s also about the attitude you have — there are always people on the left side of some thing and some on the right side.” Deeya says it bothers her that “Good, educated people from an urban set up still do not choose the defence services as a career option. I think one needs to restore faith in the uniform.” Hearing Deeya speak we feel Left Right Left is going to be the small screen equivalent of Rang De Basanti. “Let’s compare TV to TV. I don’t think today’s generation has seen Fauji which was about the men in uniform. Left Right Left will be the Fauji for them.”
What it’s about Left Right Left is the story ¦ of Huda, Naina, Yudi, Alekh, Ali and Pooja who join the NDA with varied dreams and aspirations. However the academy will change their lives forever. They transform from being naive to responsible young men and women who are determined to fight against all odds. It is set in the Kanchenjunga Military Academy.

We are in the army now!
Priyanka Bassi in Left Right Left
The cast of Tony and Deeya Singh’s new show, Left Right Left, sweated out and underwent a week-long rigorous training, at the Raigad Institute.
This show, is slated to air on SAB next month, has the army as the backdrop. Incidentally, those associated with the soap, too, come from an army background.
Besides producer Deeya, Rajiv Khandelwal who stars in the drama as well as SAB channel’s Vikas Bahl and Priya Mishra have members of the family in the army.
The Left Right Left cast includes Shveta Salve, Vikas Maniktala, Kunal Kapoor and Priyanka Bassi. The story plot unravels at the Kanchanjanga Academy.
Sameer to play sutradhar in Left Right Left
Sameer Sharma is all set to play a character with a difference! He is a dead army officer who will take the story forward through his narration in Tony and Deeya Singh's Left Right Left for Sab. The actor will be introducing and narrating the characters and give a voice over for the episodes.
Sameer Sharma: playing a character with a difference!
"I play Navin Singh Ahluwalia, one of the first few students of the military academy who is dead now. Since I'm a dead army guy in the show, I appear in flashbacks. I have a typical military look in the show," elaborates the charming actor. He will commence shooting for the series in a week's time.
Sameer's foray into television began with Star One's Dil Kya Chahta Hai and then this former advertising and IT professional bagged the plum role of Krishna in Balaji's Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. Recently he shot for a Hitachi commercial.
Coming to his personal life - girls sorry to break your hearts, he's married. "I'm very boring and there's no spice or masala in my life," grins Sameer.

Trying to break free from the Sujal (‘Kahiin To Hoga’) mould, Rajeev has dabbled with varied characters and production houses.
From playing a cop in ‘Time Bomb’ to being featured in a music video, to hosting ‘Deal Ya No Deal’, Rajeev says he’s “done it all”. The actor will soon be seen in producers Tony and Deeya Singh’s new show ‘Left Right Left’ (SAB).
“Initially, I was reluctant because the channel is not a mainstream one. But Tony and Deeya have a wonderful track record.” Even though Rajeev is not playing the protagonist in the show he says, “What is the point in playing it easy? There is no challenge in being predictable.”
Rajeev plays Captain Rajveer, a mentor for the five central characters played by Priyanka Bassi, Kunal Kapoor, Vikas Manaktala, Harshad Chopra and Arjun Bijlani.
“Television has nothing to do with a hero or a heroine. The entire set up has to work. I don’t believe in the tried and tested formula. I like to be experimental,” says the actor. Even though he admits that ‘Time Bomb’ was not a huge success he reasons, “How many of us get an opportunity to work with Ketan Mehta? Maybe the audience for the show was not huge, but the niche viewers loved ‘Time Bomb’.”
Unhappy with the way ‘Deal Ya No Deal’ was called off, Rajeev admits, “Just when I was beginning to enjoy the show, it was called off. But when the TRPs of the show were not encouraging and the channel was not earning enough revenue, there was no point in continuing it. In fact, there was a point when I told the channel to call it off.”
But doesn’t he feel left out of not being seen at prime time? “I find it sad when I see actors running after shows. They are being featured in three to four shows simultaneously. It shows how insecure they are. I’m proud about all the work that I have been doing. I’d rather look ahead and do meaningful work,” he says.
Finally, rubbishing speculations about a romance between actor Aamna Shareif and him, Rajeev laughs, “I’m tired of all the rumours. I will stand up and scream if I am seeing a woman.”

I am a patriot at heart: Rajeev Khandelwal
With his father and brother in the Indian Army, it was only natural that actor Rajeev Khandelwal too secretly desired to wear the army uniform and shoot commands.
However, that was not to be, as he instead found his calling as an actor. But now with Khandelwal’s latest role of Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat in Deeya and Tony Singh’s daily show Left Right Left on SAB set in the National Defence Academy, the actor has got an opportunity to live his dream in reel life.
He says about his character, “I play a captain who’s sent on a deputation but I still don’t get to wear the uniform but I can shoot commands as I train a few youngsters in the defence academy. The character I play has layers and so that makes it interesting to play because I have always believed in trying and doing different things, stuff that excites me.”
Playing the patriot
Khandelwal says that one of the reasons he chose to do this show is “the producers who are known for their quality work. The concept is path breaking and I would rather be part of something unique. I am just one part of the ensemble cast and it feels good to not be the sole face of the show.”
He says “on one hand Captain Shekhawat has an interesting equation with the kids but on the other hand he has issues with the brigadier in the academy played by Puneet Issar.” Since the makers claim that the serial, like Fauji (remember the Shah Rukh Khan serial on Doordarshan ages ago) will create a patriotic wave among the youth, what’s Khandelwal’s take on patriotism? “Like most people I too am passionate and patriotic about my country. I don’t wear it on my sleeve. The patriotic spirit is dormant in me, which keeps surfacing every now and then. I hope the spirit never sleeps ever.”
Khandelwal says that he’s always admired the work of his producers. “I used to love Banegi Apni Baat and even Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin.
They have always trodden a different path. That’s the reason I feel all charged up about doing Left Right Left with them.”
Finally ask him if films are on his agenda and he says “this year, it’s just TV for me.”

RAJEEV KHANDELWAL : The Enigmatic Actor
By Piroj Wadia
He’s often been called arrogant and charming in the same breath. He may not be drop-dead good-looking but has the face of a poster-boy. He chucked up secured fame for growth as an actor.
Rajeev Khandelwal will be the enigma of the season
The newest daily on air is Left Right Left. Produced and directed by Tony and Deeya Singh, Left Right Left on SAB TV is an inspirational and modern story. It captures the journey of six confused and disoriented youngsters who transform into strong determined individuals. The story also renders their realization for the love of their motherland along the way.
At the centre of the young ones' life is Captain Rajveer, a charming gentleman with a great sense of humour. He is is at the academy on a high level confidential agenda. He is a taskmaster to the core and becomes a true mentor of the youngsters, and he is portrayed by Rajeev Khandelwal aka Sujal.
Rajeev's early foray into documentary filmmaking is by now well-known. Since he has done one on the Indian Army, he must feel at home with this series. "I never was a big-time documentary filmmaker. It was more of experimenting with DD and in a small way I contributed to them. I began writing and directing documentary films. Till date, I have written about 30 documentaries on various subjects, I made a documentary on the Indian Army and paramilitary forces, old age, women's labour among many others."
That experience and attraction for making a film on the army stems from his family ties - his father is a retired army officer and his brother serves in the army. So to some extent that has been his reason for doing Left Right Left. Ask if he did any preparation and he replies, "Nothing much. I did go to the Raigad Military Academy for a fitness reference point. Besides, my brother was posted in Pune till recently, so I would visit him quite regularly and had an opportunity to observe him. This kind of exposure has helped me with my body language, nuances and tone of voice. But I am not playing a man in uniform. I am seen as an instructor in plainclothes. But my body language and tone will reflect my Army grounding and discipline. As Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat I am linked with all the other characters and each has a flair of his own. Shweta Salve is a psycho-analyst, Puneet Issar is the principal and I am the instructor."
Since the channel is not really a mainstream one, the show is likely to go unnoticed, but Rajeev is not too concerned, "Tony and Deeya have a wonderful track-record. Besides, my idea isn't to rock the TRP meter, I would love to do that too, but would prefer to do shows which have a definite focus." According to Rajeev, Time Bomb was always slated for 24 episodes and he is comfortable with that.
He does not feel left out for not being seen on a high-profile channel. "I find it sad when I see actors running after shows. They are being featured in three to four shows simultaneously. It shows how insecure they are. I'm proud about all the work that I have been doing. I'd rather look ahead and do meaningful work." Having been off the hectic pace of the shooting schedule for a daily show, Rajeev avers that he's finding his rhythm. "With Left Right Left I am back to a daily after a long time. I had for sometime lost touch with the schedule."
The actor is referred to by quite a few epithets, and his admires will aver that 'pin-up boy' is the most correct . He has a gaggle of girls gushing over him, when spotted. They just cannot take their eyes off his intense dark eyes. The Balaji late-night soap Kaahin To Hoga brought him to the threshold of recognition and popularity. He became the face of Sujal Garewal, the protagonist. The adulation that followed was something any young actor would have given an arm and a leg for. All this despite the fact that Kaahin To Hoga was a late night show. Yet, when he had everything going for him he simply upped and announced that he wanted out. "Sujal catapulted me to fame. I got recognition. I couldn't have asked for anything better. But I needed to grow as an actor and as an individual." In fact, many were the critics who scoffed at his foolishness.. Aware of the criticism that gathered around him Rajeev avers, "When I walked out of Kaahin To Hoga people were critical. And those who talk like that are all losers. I walked out at the peak of my association with the show, and out of the safety and security of having regular work." But he did so in search of growth and a challenge.
Though he seems to be going for unconventional roles after Kaahin To Hoga, he simply can't shake off the Sujal tag, and doesn't really mind it, "I love it when I am called Sujal, and people still call me Sujal as the association is so strong. In fact, I would be hurt if I am asked who I am."
Playing Sujal for an indefinite period wasn't what the good-looking actor had in mind. "I wanted the makers to know that I am capable of going beyond Sujal." So his next role was in an action serial Time Bomb which ended in 24 episodes. "I see doing such unconventional roles as a challenge to show my talent." Time Bomb with Ketan Mehta was different and challenging for the young actor at so early in his career. "It was a brilliant experience working with Ketan Mehta and Kay Kay Menon. It didn't do well as regards TRPs. But the whole thing was a learning experience," Rajeev sums up. He also anchored Deal Ya No Deal, which he enjoyed doing and was sorry it had to close down.
The end credits of many a prime-time serial read 'Show Packaging - Rajeev Khandelwal'. Now considering Rajeev's association with filmmaking, it would be an obvious question if he is also involved in show packaging for some of the serials. He chuckles, "This is anther Rajeev Khandelwal. It is not the first time I have been asked this question. He too is from Delhi, but a very senior person in the industry and a good editor. When I was in Delhi making my films, some media people would often mistake me for him, but as soon as they found out I wasn't their man they would drop me. When I came to Mumbai, he was already here by then by that time, we met and laughed at the mixed-up identities."

Those missing Rajeev Khandelwal – the original Sujal of Kahin To Hoga – won't have to wait any longer. Starting April 28, Khandelwal will be seen hosting the popular game show Deal Ya No Deal on Sony.
Earlier hosted by Madhavan and Mandira Bedi, Deal Ya No Deal is changing and going back to the original American format it is based on. We caught up with the teenage heartthrob on the new set (designed by Sameer Chandra). Tired after a day's shoot, Rajeev spoke to us while taking a break in his air-conditioned make-up van.
Is Deal Ya No Deal a big deal for Rajeev Khandelwal?
Right from the day I began my career, I have believed that no 'deal' is small when it comes to acting -- whether it is Kahin To Hoga, Time Bomb, Deal Ya No Deal or the recent music video I have acted in. I want DYND to be a big deal for viewers of the show across the country.
But why a game show? This is the first time you are doing something like this. Do you think you will be successful?
Because 'the host of a game show' is a challenging role! The show has changed a lot since when it was hosted by Madhavan and Mandira. It has returned to the US format and the role of the host has changed completely. In fact, this is the first time I did not do much homework for the show. I learn only from class work! From everyone on the sets – the studio audience, models and even participants. I am trying my best to communicate with everyone on the set to make the show a big success.
To be frank, I rejected the offer when it first came to me. But when I read the format and thought it over, I was excited. I felt I could take up this challenge. People would see me as I am! I believe in destiny. If this show is to be successful, it will. Madhavan and Mandira have done the spadework. I just have to carry on. DYND is still among Sony's top four shows. It's a fresh start for me and the show, so let's hope for the best.
So, you want to be more known as Rajeev Khandelwal? Not Sujal?
(smiles) It's surprising… It's been more than a year since I left Kahin To Hoga, but everyone still refers to me as Sujal. I take it a compliment. Now, they will see the real Rajeev Khandelwal.
There is still a lot of discussion on your on-screen and off-screen chemistry with Amna Sharif…
(excitedly) I really didn't know why our pair clicked so well! Looking back, I feel that Amna's beauty and my 'rawness', combined with the novelty of the show, contributed to the success of our pair in Kahin To Hoga. Off-screen, we are real good friends, nothing else. I wouldn't like to say anything else on our off-screen chemistry.
Are you working on any serials now?
Some time back, Aamna and I shot for the pilot for a serial called Hum Do Humhare Nau. Although I have no clue which channel this will be telecast on, I am sure it will be successful. I am also doing a new serial for Sab TV called Left Right Left.
Any new offers from Balaji after you walked out of Kahin To Hoga? Have you called a truce with Ekta Kapoor?
(smiles) Firstly, let me clarify – there was no fight between us when I walked out. We parted ways amicably. Even if Balaji offers me a new serial, I will take a call.
So what have you been doing all this while?
Working on a daily soap for two years is very tiring. It extracts every drop of energy you have. Money was never a criteria for me. I wanted to enjoy myself, so I took a break. I spent time with my family, tried adventure sports and did everything I always wanted to but never could due to time constraints. I have been enjoying my life and travelling.

Looks like actor Rajeev Khandelwal will be facing some serious competition, on screen that is. The actor will be joined by Ravi Gosai — who was recently a part of Jab Love Hua — in Left Right Left, in which Ravi will help Rajeev on his secret mission. Rajeev, who’s serials post Kahin Na Kahin To Hoga on star Plus haven’t been as popular was probably banking on this one to increase his fan-following. Now, let’s hope that competition or not, this one works out for both of them.

Time to march...Left Right Left
A much needed breather from the never-ending saas bahu sagas comes from SAB TV. The channel is all set to woo viewers with a action packed youth oriented drama, Left Right Left. Produced by DJ's, the show will focus on the lives of general psyche of the modern day, disoriented youth. The show will premiere on 10 July and will telecast Monday-Thursday at 9.30 pm.
Set against the backdrop of Kanchanjanga Military Academy, Left Right Left revolves around the lives of six youth; Naina, Yudi, Alekh, Ali & Pooja, who join the pre NDA academy with varied interests, dreams, aspirations & goals. Their captain, Mr. Rajveer (essayed by Rajeev Kandelwal) is a taskmaster and their mentor, while Sveta Salve plays the character of Dr.Ritu Mishra. Captain Rajveer transforms them from naive to responsible citizens who are determined to fight all odds of life. Admist all this, the story will also show how the seeds of patriotism gets inculcated in their minds.
Commenting on the launch of the show, Vikas Bahl, Senior Vice President and Business Head, SAB, said, "Our programming strategy consists of
introducing new shows that include unique concepts, fresh new faces and an overall packaging that draws the masses, giving the much needed impetus to expand the channel viewer ship. At SAB, we are currently moving in the direction of consolidating our prime-time and are sure that Left Right Left will give us the expected boost."
Speaking about the distinct concept of the show, producer-director, Tony & Deeya Singh said, "Left Right Left demonstrates a unique story of six youngsters & their approach towards life. The viewers will be able to relate to Huda, Naina, Alekh, Ali, Yudi and Pooja since there would be times in their lives, where they would have experienced the same emotions, and therefore will empathize with them."
Left Right Left is surely an intentional drift from the time-n-tested formula of a women protagonist who is loaded with pancake and fighting evil. This contemporary show, for a change, will address the sentiments of our youth.
Only time will tell whether Left Right Left will march the right way!

New saga on the small screen

STORY OF TODAY'S YOUTH: The team of the serial `Left Right Left' during the press conference in New Delhi on Friday. Photo: Anu Pushkarna
NEW DELHI: SAB TV, a Hindi entertainment channel, on Friday announced the launch of its new serial "Left Right Left" -- an action packed drama -- beginning July 10.
Set in contemporary India, the serial will be aired every Monday to Thursday.
Capturing the journey of six confused and disoriented youngsters, "Left Right Left" focuses on the lives of Huda, Naina, Yudi, Alekh, Ali and Pooja, who all come together at the National Defence Academy with varied interests, dreams, aspirations and goals.
After some time, the youngsters transform from being naïve to responsible young men and women who are determined to fight against all odds.
The characters in the show reflect a variety of shades and each one of them is at the Academy for an entirely different reason.
Huda is a young, rustic Haryanvi dude who is determined to win a bet with his mother and joins the Academy for fun, while Alekh is sent to the Academy for disciplinary reasons after he gets involved in a drunken brawl at an orphanage.
Yudi and Ali join the Academy in pursuit of self-discovery and personify the youth of today.
Naina joins the Academy to prove that even women can make responsible Army officers, while Pooja is in search of her love, for whom she heads to the Academy.
"Left Right Left" is a labour of love from the famous duo of Tony and Deeya Singh, who are producers and directors of the serial that stars Vikas Manaktala (Huda), Arjun Bijlani (Alekh), Kunal Kapoor (Yudi), Harshad Chopra (Ali), Ghazal Rai (Pooja) and Priyanka Bassi (Naina).
Moreover, the mega star cast includes actor-cum-filmmaker Puneet Issar and most sought after television actor Rajeev Khandelwal.
"Our show is based on the youth and is a key differentiator in terms of programming for the channel.
`Left Right Left' is a show different from other serials that are in the 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. slot as none of the other general entertainment channels have addressed the sentiments of the youth," says Priya Mishra, SAB TV's Programming Head.

"My impulsiveness is restricted to what I buy"
Money. That's what drives everyone in the final analysis, whether in the glamour world of acting or the hard grind of scripting and producing. Cashin' In sits down with TV celebs to know well they handle their financial matters, and tracks their spending patterns.
In Bombay Talking she essayed the role of a determined woman who makes her own decisions, but in real life it is her father who charts out her financial graph. For Priyanka Bassi is quite carefree when it comes to her finances. She is an absolute shopaholic who doesn't think twice before spending. Similar to that of her reel image in Bombay Talking this pretty lass likes to lead a luxurious life in real life too. In a free wheeling conversation with Sameera Kapoor , this lovely girl talks about her spending habit and the importance of financial insurance.
"I am still to earn the kind of income which my. colleagues enjoy".
How planned is your life financially?
I have entrusted that job to my father, this ensures that whatever I earn is in safe hands and will be looked after with utmost care.
What kind of investments have you done till date?
As I am quite new to the industry, I am still to earn the kind of income which my senior colleagues enjoy. In addition to this the little that I earn gets spent on my day to day needs, so hardly anything is left to be invested.
So, don't you think that it is essential and wise to save something for future?
Certainly, but for that I should have enough capital in reserve. An income which will look after my daily needs and a bit of which could be reserved as well.
Where does most of your income go?
I am a huge shopaholic. I go once in week to shop for clothes, shoes, jewellery especially ear rings and antic pieces. As I am not brand conscious, I have a lot of variety to choose from. So I end up spending a lot.
"I am not into diamonds..."
Approximately how much do you spend on yourself, by the end of the month?
I spend anything between Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 per month.
.
What's your take on insurance policies?
Its absolutely essential and everyone should get themselves insured financially. You never know when it might come in handy.
What vehicle do you own?
I own a Santro Xing.
Anything else which you are very particular about when it comes to your finances?
Although I am quite impulsive while shopping, but I make it a point to plan as to what should I shop for.So my impulsiveness is restricted to the stuff that i buy.
How much money do you carry everyday?
I am quite weary about carrying large amount of cash on shoot for the fear of being robbed thus I leave them with my driver for safekeeping. Otherwise I carry in my wallet about Rs.500.
What was the costliest thing that bought with your first pay cheque?
Well, I guess that should be a dress which cost me Rs.6500/-.
What about investing in diamonds?
No, I am not into diamonds. Its good to receive them as a gift but seeing it as an investment is not a good idea. Diamonds are high on maintainence.

Dudes of tellydom….served hot!
Gone are the days when 'only' the stars of the big screen, the Khans and the Kapoors, were tagged as the hottest men in town. The recent boom in the television industry has made such a remarkable impact on it's viewers that it wouldn't be a surprise to find a poster of aapna tv star in one's bedroom. Amongst them too, are a select few who have a winning streak in them and have carved a niche for themselves.
We at Tellychakkar.com present to you these hot n happening telly stars….
PS: It's sheer co-incidence that all these actors got their share of name and fame via K factor, Balaji Telefilms.
Rajeev Khandelwal: No other character has been missed so badly as Sujal of Kahin To Hoga. Rajeev shot to instant fame by playing this lover boy role with great intensity. He has a mesmerizing effect on the fairer sex and he would win hands down if contested for the most loved actor in tellydom. His exit from Kahin To… affected both the parties; the show witnessed a fall in TRPs. Following next, Rajeev couldn't help the fate of Time Bomb (Zee) and Deal Ya No Deal (Sony). But the viewers are still anxiously waiting for his upcoming series, Left Right Left (SAB). With the promising promos of this show, we are optimistic that Khandelwal will be back with a bang and will prove to be a lambi race ka ghoda.
ksluvs_1408
August 3, 2006, 01:53 PM
The hunk who played the character of Sujal in Kahiin To Hoga was known as one of the most promising actors on small screen when he entered the television industry. But as we all know one cannot fight destiny, this young man today is not a part of the show because of a fall out that he underwent with Ekta Kapoor, the owner of Balaji Telefilms.
After the fall out with Balaji Telefilms he quit Kahiin To Hoga and was later seen in Ketan Mehta’s Time Bomb on Zee TV. The show started with a bang and everyone expected it to be a huge success but things did not fall in place and the show had to go off air.
Recently there were also a few reports that Rajeev Khandelwal was making way into the film industry, but eventually things didn’t work, due to some ideological differences with the filmmakers and he chose to opt out of the film. “Yes I was formerly doing the movie but things didn’t work out and so I opted out of it,” states Rajeev. But he is a strong believer in destiny and prefers to flow along with the tide and take things in life as they come. He is also an atheist at heart. “ I don’t really believe in God but I do believe a lot in karma.”
My past?
As he belongs to an army background he traveled a lot in his childhood days and so he also had to change his school many a times. He spent his college days in Ahemdabad and was a BSc (IT) student in St.Xaviers College, Ahemdabad. Acting was not like a dream come true for him. “Although it was a conscious decision for me to take up acting, but when I started off I had never even thought that I would get into this field,” states Rajeev.
My initial days….
A technical person by profession he started his career in the television industry as a production assistant. “Before I entered television I made many documentaries mainly pertaining to the army and the Kargil War as I can relate to it to a great extent. Till date I have written 30 documentaries on various subjects.” Although he started off as a production assistant destiny had something else in store for him. “I started getting various offers for advertisements. I was selected to model for a few commercial like LML bikes, Gilbey's Green Label Whiskey, Kodak Express and Videocon refrigerators, and that initiated me to go ahead and try for serials and with a few auditions in Balaji Telefilms I was offered the character of Sujal and I loved the role as it was very close to Rajeev,” says the dude.
This young heartthrob has not taken any proficient acting lessons and according to him acting does not require professional training. “Acting is an intrinsic art. Classes might polish an actor a bit, but they can't ingrain the seeds of acting,” suggests the actor.
Despite, things going wrong at various points in his life he still remains to be a hot favourite among many and even today manages to grab quite a female fan following, who can’t just have enough of him. Quiz him about his ideal girl and pat comes the reply, “It has to be a female who can read my eyes.”
So where does the sex appeal for this hunk lie?
“My sex appeal would definitely lie in the eyes. I think eyes convey a lot and also can portray an individual’s complete persona.” Says Rajeev. According to him his ideal girl would be someone who is extremely feminine. “Today you hardly find females who are feminine. But for me the first prerequisite would be a female who has explored the womanly side of her.” One female who can sweep him off his feet is film actress Nandita Das. “ I think she is really hot but she is already married so I am too late (laughs). Queer him about one female he would like to get married to from the television fraternity and he is spontaneously replies, “Please, I rather stay a bachelor all my life.”
Is he seeing someone?
The handsome dude could not make up his mind about this. “Well, I am not going steady with anyone as of now. But I like meeting women, and you can say I liking flirting at times (laughs) But tell me who doesn’t flirt? Everyone does, isn’t it?”
On his much talked about co-star Aamna Shariff ….
From the time he made his debut in Kahiin To Hoga the gossip mills have been fast moving about an off screen chemistry that exists between him and his ex- co-star Aamna Shariff who plays the character of Kashish in Kahiin To Hoga. But he prefers to be politically correct, “ She is just a good friend.”
He is all praise for this young damsel, “ I think she is a very gorgeous female and seriously I wish all these rumours which have been doing the rounds all these years were true. But unfortunately they are not,” chuckles Rajeev.
Future…
As of now he is not working for any production house and has also walked out of his film, life is on a stand still for this young hot dude today. But with the kind of popularity he enjoys and with his kind of talent he surely will be back with something that will make people sit up and take note of him once again.

Another interview of Priyanka Bassi
No need to starve, just eat small meals
Priyanka Bassi, the lead star in Sony’s hit serial Left Right Left is looking fabulous after training hard for her action-oriented role. She shares her fitness tips with us.
* Be active and on your toes most of the time. Devise a simple exercise routine for your daily workout. Apart from going to the gym, do a bit of skipping and jogging. This can be done at any hour of the day and at any place. You don't need a trainer to do these exercises.
* Adopt a healthy lifestyle. Have at least 3-4 meals a day, in small quantities though. Starving is a strict no no. Hunger pangs are the result of inadequate nutrition resulting in dull skin, lustreless hair and complications later in life.
* Say ‘no’ to carbohydrates: In order to tone one’s body, it’s very important to cut down on the carbohydrate intake as much as possible. This can be substituted with protein rich food.
* Have lots of water, at least 13 to 14 glasses in a day. It helps in cleansing the system.
* Have a soup, it helps you cut down on carbs. Fruits and veggies too are a must. Consuming these in large quantities helps the skin and the hair, in fact, it’s good for the whole body.

New Delhi (UNI): Even as an "ad-nauseam" display of kitchen politics creates a sense of 'déjà vu' among TV viewers, a host of 'new wave' professionals bursting with creative ideas are striving to infuse a "breath of fresh air" on small screen with their serials portraying the ''real emotions of the real people''. Amid a scene filled with 'Saas-Bahu' sagas or serials dealing with family rivalries, shows like 'Kittu Sab Janti Hai' and Sati-Satya Ki Shakti' on Sahara One, 'India Calling' on Star One' and 'Jab Luv Hua' on Zee TV invariably come as a relief for TV viewers bored to death by the surfeit of "family dramas" on the tube.
The latest in the list of "real life sagas" seeking to revolutionise the Indian television scene is 'Left Right Left', a show dealing with the dilemmas, hopes and aspirations of the youth of this country, to be aired on SAB TV from tomorrow. It is a story of six confused and disoriented youth who, looking for their true calling in life, end up at a pre-NDA academy. Produced and directed by the duo of Tony and Diya Singh, who have given to television pathbreaking shows like 'Banegi Apni Baat', 'Jab Luv Hua' on Zee TV, Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin' on Sony, the show is an attempt to capture on the small screen the ''trials and tribulations undergone and varied emotions experienced by the today's youth in course of a search for their identity and purpose in life'', something which no serial in recent years has done.
Speaking at a press meet in the capital to announce the launch of the show, to be aired on Mondays to Thursdays at 2130 hrs, Programming head, SAB, Ms Priya said the serial was a part of their endeavour to present to the TV viewer something new and different from the content being dished out to them at present. ''The show reflects the sensibilities of today's youth, many of whom do not know what they want to do in life. In short, they are wondering whether to go left, right or left. Infact, being associated with the show was for me reliving my experiences as a young girl. For example, when I entered college, I was like the youth in the serial, who was wondering whether this (doing college) was really what I wanted to do,'' she added. She noted the show was different from those being aired by other general entertainment TV channels in the 2100 hrs to 2200 hrs slot. ''None of the general entertainment channels have addressed the sentiments of youth. Infact, the show showcases much larger issues that concern the youth and reflects their attitude,'' Ms Priya said.
Speaking on the occasion, Senior Vice President and Business Head, SAB, Vikas Bahl said, ''Our programming strategy consists of introducing new shows that include unique concepts, fresh new faces and an overall packaging that draws the masses, giving the much needed impetus to expand the channel viewership. At SAB we are moving in the direction of consolidating our prime time. The launching of shows like 'Twinkle Beauty Parlour' and 'Left Right Left' is an effort in this direction.'' ''During a survey carried out by us in ten cities of the country, we met several people who said they were dying to see something new and different on television. Hence, shows like 'Twinkle beauty parlour' and 'Left right Left' are launched,'' Ms Priya added.
Tony and Diya Singh said the serial and its characters were ones with which people of all ages, from 7-77, would completely identify with. ''No matter what your age, there must have been a time in your life when you would have gone through the same dilemmas and experienced the same emotions'' Tony Singh said.
Diya Singh said the serial was another attempt on their part to present to the TV viewers a show with a refreshing concept. ''To be doing something new each time you come out with a serial is very satifying for a creative professional,''she said. Detailing on "Left right Left' she said it was a story of six youngsters - Huda, Naina, Yudi, Alekh, Ali and Pooja - who come together at a pre-NDA academy with varied intentions, dreams, aspirations and goals but the stint with the academy transforms them from being naïve to responsible young men and women determined to fight all odds in life. The show features six newcomers in the role of the six youngsters, along with TV stars Rajiv Khandelwal, Shveta Salve and Punit Issar.
In order to give a realistic touch to the show, the makers made the actors go through rigorous training in various military disciplines to enable them to effectively translate on the small screen the lives of students of the institution. ''While making all efforts to make the show look realistic, we have also tried to give a very contemporary feel to it,''Tony said. Speaking on the occasion, TV actor Rajiv Khandelwal, known as the Sharukh Khan of the small screen, said, ''Though I have earlier worked in many serials under banners like Balaji telefilms, working with Tony and Diya Singh was an altogether different experience. I have never worked with a more creative unit which is so passionate about the craft''. The show also features Shveta Salve, who has acted in serials like Lipstick and Sarrkar.

Ravi makes an entry in Left Right Left
Actor Rajeev Khandelwal, who plays an undercover cop in Sab TV’s Left Right Left, has a new partner in policing, and he means business. Bunty Choebe has arrived to help Rajeev in his missions, though the help may more likely be in polishing off the canteen food.
Bunty is a rotund, happy-go-lucky soul who promises to infuse and energise the programme with his quirkiness and love for gastronomical delights. Enacted by Ravi Gosai, the character took shape at the wish of DJ productions, which was not satisfied with his short cameo in Zee’s Jab Love Hua, wanting more from this skilled actor.
Ravi’s career boasts of excellent performances in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin and Jab Love Hua, along with forthcoming films like Mahesh Manjrekar’s Big Bazaar and Apurva Lakhia’s Shootout at Lokhandwala.
The actor is thrilled about his new avatar and rightly so. “Bunty has an amazing body language and after playing such a happy character, one goes home happy too,” says Ravi.

Hi Friends,
As you all know that Rajeev and Aamna are one of the choosen couple to Nach Baliye 2....
Out of 25 couples, the channel has short-listed the following names:
Anuradha Patel and Kanwaljeet Singh
Kiran and Chhaya Karmarkar
Renuka Shahane and Ashutosh Rana
Rajeev Khandelwal and Aamna Shariff
Achint Kaur and Mohan Kapoor
Ronit Roy and Neelam
Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan
There are only two who had already refused the offer, the two are for some reasons, these couple are:
Kiran and Chhaya Karmarkar
Renuka Shahane and Ashutosh Rana
Rajeev and Aamna are not mentioned yet that they refused, it means that they might accept it....
here is the article,
Shall we dance?
The air is thickening with the buzz about celeb couples being short listed for the second season of Nach Baliye. While there are some who have already given a nod, a few couples had to decline this exciting offer; reason being, a refusal by their better half.
We are talking about two duos, Rinku - Kiran Karmarkar and Renuka Shahane - Ashutosh Rana. The co-incidence here is that the female counterparts are game, while the men are killjoy!
"We are not doing Nach Baliye as Ranaji is very busy with his outdoor film schedules. Thus, it is not possible to do this dance show, which requires five months of our commitment. But I would have loved to be a part of it," smiles Renuka, who is busy penning a script besides looking after her kids.
This is Rinku Karmarkar version: "Kiran is not interested in doing the show but I want to! The other day I was joking with my colleague, Ali Asgar, that maybe we should participate as a couple since we are really interested while our partners are not."
Oh, come on guys, be a sport!

Ya i know but that is what I have heard.
this is today sbs short update of lrl 6 cadets, hope u like it
the 6 cadets were asked abt friend ship .wat friendship means 2 them
firstly pooja was asked on d other 5 cadets;she said naina was very cute frm first day,ali is the one who gorges on everyones tiffins, she also said though alekh is serious in d serial he keeps smilin all d times after d shot is taken, she thought huda has attitude but after meetin him found him very cute & adorable, yudi is d one who is also confused in real as well as reel life.
the reporter then asked alekh what he can do for his friends Aalekh said he can do anything for his friends. Then the reporter asked him if Vikas(Huda) asked him to jump in the river or lake behind him then will he,then Aalekh said if they asked me to do sopmething like that they are my enemies. But if they asked me to jump in a swimming pool then he will. The same question was asked to ali and he said(pointing pooja jokingly) if u have friends like this then no need for enemies. Then Yudi was asked how he jelled wid everyone frm d cast nd he said that d friendship was more situational where he met diff. people ,came 2 knew them nd started likin them nd then they are best of friends
Aalekh also said he and Huda always keep pulling legs of Naina but she doesnt mind all that stuff.
Aalekh said Huda is the one who plays pranks on the gang.
Yudi and the gang has nicknamed naina as saitan singh ahluwalia
AFTERWARDS ALLOF THEM TOGETHER SAID HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY & HIP HIP HURRAY.

Ravi Gosai in 'Left Right Left'
Rajeev Khandelwal, dashing undercover cop of Sony Sab's 'Left Right Left' has a new partner in policing. And he means business. 'Bunty Choebe', played by Ravi Gosai, has arrived to help Rajeev on his mission, though the help may more likely be in polishing off the canteen food!
Bunty is a rotund, happy-go-lucky soul who promises to infuse and energize the programme with his quirkiness and love for gastronomical delights! Enacted by Ravi Gosai, the character took shape at the wish of DJ's productions, which weren't satisfied with his short cameo in Zee's Jab Love Hua, wanting more of this skilled actor.
Ravi's kitty boasts excellent performances in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin and Jab Love Hua, along with forthcoming films like Mahesh Manjrekar's 'Big Bazaar' and Apurva Lakhia's 'Shootout at Lokhandwala' and other untitled ventures. He is thrilled to bits about his new avatar and rightly so. "Bunty has an amazing body language and after playing such a happy character, one goes home happy too!" says Ravi. Here's wishing all the best to Bunty Choebe on busting crime...and his seams!

Serials on 'Real people' and 'real emotions' bring "breath of fresh air" on TV
New Delhi, July 10. (UNI): Even as an "ad-nauseam" display of kitchen politics creates a sense of 'déjà vu' among TV viewers, a host of 'new wave' professionals bursting with creative ideas are striving to infuse a "breath of fresh air" on small screen with their serials portraying the "real emotions of the real people".
The latest in the list of "real life sagas" seeking to revolutionise the Indian television scene is 'Left Right Left', a show dealing with the dilemmas, hopes and aspirations of the youth of this country, to be aired on SAB TV from today.
It is a story of six confused and disoriented youth who, looking for their true calling in life, end up at a pre-NDA academy.
Produced and directed by the duo of Tony and Diya Singh, who have given to television pathbreaking shows like 'Banegi Apni Baat', 'Jab Luv Hua' on Zee TV, Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin' on Sony, the show is an attempt to capture on the small screen the "trials and tribulations undergone and varied emotions experienced by today's youth in course of a search for their identity and purpose in life", something which no serial in recent years has done.
"The show reflects the sensibilities of today's youth, many of whom do not know what they want to do in life. In short, they are wondering whether to go left, right or left. Infact, being associated with the show was for me reliving my experiences as a young girl. For example, when I entered college, I was like the youth in the serial, who was wondering whether this (doing college) was really what I wanted to do," she added.
She noted the show was different from those being aired by other general entertainment TV channels in the 2100 hrs to 2200 hrs slot.
"None of the general entertainment channels have addressed the sentiments of youth. Infact, the show showcases much larger issues that concern the youth and reflects their attitude," Ms Priya said.
Speaking on the occasion, Senior Vice President and Business Head, SAB, Vikas Bahl said, "Our programming strategy consists of introducing new shows that include unique concepts, fresh new faces and an overall packaging that draws the masses, giving the much needed impetus to expand the channel viewership.
At SAB we are moving in the direction of consolidating our prime time. The launching of shows like 'Twinkle Beauty Parlour' and 'Left Right Left' is an effort in this direction."
"During a survey carried out by us in ten cities of the country, we met several people who said they were dying to see something new and different on television. Hence, shows like 'Twinkle beauty parlour' and 'Left right Left' are launched," Ms Priya added.
Tony and Diya Singh said the serial and its characters were ones with which people of all ages, from 7-77, would completely identify with.
"No matter what your age, there must have been a time in your life when you would have gone through the same dilemmas and experienced the same emotions,"Tony Singh said.
Diya Singh said the serial was another attempt on their part to present to the TV viewers a show with a refreshing concept.
"To be doing something new each time you come out with a serial is very satifying for a creative professional,"she said.
Detailing on "Left right Left' she said it was a story of six youngsters - Huda, Naina, Yudi, Alekh, Ali and Pooja - who come together at a pre-NDA academy with varied intentions, dreams, aspirations and goals, but the stint with the academy transforms them from being naïve to responsible young men and women determined to fight all odds in life.
"While making all efforts to make the show look realistic, we have also tried to give a very contemporary feel to it,"Tony said.
Speaking on the occasion, TV actor Rajiv Khandelwal, known as the Sharukh Khan of the small screen, said, "Though I have earlier worked in many serials under banners like Balaji telefilms, working with Tony and Diya Singh was an altogether different experience. I have never worked with a more creative unit which is so passionate about the craft".
The show also features Shveta Salve, who has acted in serials like 'Lipstick' and 'Sarrkar'.

Shweta is not a copycat
Shweta Salve, it’s alleged, gets quite irritated when people point out that her sari clad look in Left Right Left has been copied from Sushmita Sen’s hit style in the film Main Hoon Na. The actress it appears doesn’t want to come across as a copycat and whenever someone points out the similarities between her and Sushmita’s styles she apparently says she has nothing do with it and if someone really wants to know how her look came about they should approach the producers of the serial. Wonder why Shweta is getting so touchy, Sushmita after all is known to be a very stylish person so being inspired by her sense of dressing can’t be bad at all.

‘I’ll never do a reality show’
TV actor Rajeev Khandelwal says he doesn’t want to bow down before judges and wait for them to decide his fate
There’s buzz that actors Rajeev Khandelwal and Aamna Shariff were approached for Star One’s reality show Nach Baliye 2, but they refused. However, Rajeev clarifies that he was not approached by anybody and even if he was, he wouldn’t do it. “That’s because I’m not comfortable participating in a reality show. I’m not against reality shows, just that I can’t compete for money. It’s a block that I have. I do not want to bow down before three judges who will decide my fate. With due respect to judges and participants of all reality shows, I’d like to emphasise that I’m only talking for myself. What others feel is their prerogative. Each to his own,” he says.
So is it fear of losing that’s prompting this stand? “Not at all. While I was in college, I participated in a number of competitions. Now, I’m not comfortable with the thought of celebrities competing.”
But, he recently anchored the game show Deal Ya No Deal? “Yes, I’m fine anchoring these shows,” says Rajeev, who’s still known as the original Sujal of Kahiin To Hoga, a show he quit last year. He is currently seen in Left Right Left.

‘I’m confident about the way I look on screen!’
Friday, August 04, 2006 12:11:49 IST
Glamourous small screen actress Shweta Salve, now looks forward to her role as an anchor in Popkorn, on Zoom. The actress-cum-anchor admits to PREMA K, that anchoring is definitely more challenging
Does the fact that you are stepping into someone else’s shoe worry you?
No, I’m pretty confident about the way I look and host! Mini Mathur has a different personality and style. Since Mini quit the show I was asked to step in. She did a wonderful job. It would’ve been a different thing if I were stepping into an actor’s shoes. As an actor, people are so used to a particular character that there are comparisons when he or she is replaced. So there, I’d have to either meet with people’s expectations or carve my own niche. That’s a bit worrying. But as an anchor, I just have to be me.
Is this your first exposure to anchoring?
Few years back, I anchored a show on Channel [V] for a few months. I also anchored ‘Good Morning Bollywood’, for Sahara. I also host events and so anchoring is not something completely new to me.
What do you enjoy about anchoring?
The fact that it lets you be yourself. As an actor, one has to walk and talk, like someone else. An actor has to deliver his lines with emotions. Anchoring is also delivering lines and that’s where I come into the picture. I have to make the lines interesting that people want to hear the latest news. It’s not like I’ve to be a scheming bahu or vamp on screen. I’ve to bring my own style. It’s like having a conversation with my audience.
What’s more fun; acting or anchoring?
Both have their elements of fun, otherwise, I wouldn’t be doing them. In acting, it’s the thrill of performing and creating a new character whereas in anchoring it’s the freedom that I enjoy, besides being myself.
But don’t you agree that anchoring is more challenging as compared to acting?
It is! The anchor is the only person holding the show together whereas in acting; there are co-actors who help balance the scene with you. So anchoring definitely becomes more challenging as compared to acting, but that’s the fun and thrill of it.
You seem to have done a lot of non-conventional shows - Kittie Party, Lipstick, to name a few. Has this been intentional?
It’s not like I’m receptive to these shows and avoid conventional saas-bahu ones. I’ve done those too. Who doesn’t want to become a household name? But the danger in doing these is that your fame is short-lived. I’ve always accepted any good show that’s come my way. When one has an outgoing nature, people try to slot you into strong characters. So I guess that’s the only reason why I’ve done quite a bit of these contemporary shows.
How about films?
I’m an actor and look at films as a part of my growth. If someone thinks that I have the potential and offers me something good, I’d love to do it.
Do you have hang-ups about approaching film producers or directors for work?
I’m not against it but I’m worried about meeting the wrong people in Bollywood since I don’t really know much about this industry. I’ve put in a lot of hard work into the television industry and I’m sure that some people have seen my work. I’d prefer if someone like that approaches me otherwise I’m happy with television. I’m also a very shy person so cannot really approach people.
Don’t you feel that television actors are said to be over-exposed and given a raw deal in films?
It’s sad, but true. That also holds me back from approaching people. But I don’t understand this logic that just because an actor has been seen on television before, the talent bit is discounted. In fact, a talented television actor should be given a larger platform to showcase his talent. Fortunately, for me, my television work has been spaced out so people don’t feel I’m over-exposed. Although I’d love to do both commercial cinema and also have a glamorous image to be part of it, I’d love to do contemporary cinema. I feel that’s more the kind of person I am in real life; very down to earth.

Aparna plays real life doc for Shveta
A friend in need is a friend indeed! And Aparna Tilak amply proved this to her dear friend Shveta Salve recently while shooting for the military academy based serial, Left Right Left (SAB TV), in which she essays the role of Dr.Shalini Singhal, a jovial and fun-loving medico.
A terrorist attack was being picturised on the outdoor sets of this show, replete with a bomb explosion where everyone had to run helter-skelter and Rajeev Khandelwal was supposed to do a superman dive to save Shveta, who plays Dr. Ritu Mishra, a psychologist in the show. "In the milieu, both of us fell down and the huge kada on my right hand hurt my wrist. Fortunately it was just a ligament tear that got healed with a wrist support I wore for a few days," says Shveta, who is all excited about grooving in Sony's dance show, Jhalak Dikhla Ja. The svelte actress is used to doing her own stunts as she reveals, "For an episode in CID (Sony) I performed a 100ft jump, of course with suspensions."
When she fell, the cast and crew jokingly called out to Dr.Shalini (that is Aparna Tilak) to attend the patient. But Aparna took it seriously and quickly responded by helping out her co-star and best friend. "As soon as she saw the swelling on my wrist, she perfunctorily acted doctor on the sets and kept an ice-pack and sprayed a medication", informs Shveta. Incidentally, Aparna's husband is a doctor and so her acquired first-aid knowledge came in handy.
Now that's some sort of a remarkable deed of putting your knowledge instinctively into action!

Bitten by the Rajeev bug
Newcomer Gazal Rai is smitten by her ‘Left Right Left’ co-star.
Looks like actor Rajeev Khandelwal (Captain Rajveer) in ‘Left Right Left’ (SAB) has got an admirer on the sets. The grapevine suggests that actor Gazal Rai (Pooja) is smitten by Rajeev.
Insiders reveal that she blushes every time Rajeev is around. In fact, Rajeev is aware and is amused by this too. Recently, when he had to perform a difficult stunt, the cast and crew thought that it would be tough to complete it in one shot. But not only did Rajeev perfect it in one go, but he even gestured at Gazal saying, “This one’s for you!”
When asked about her fondness for her co-actor Rajeev, Gazal admits saying, “He is very cute. Both Rajeev and Shveta (Salve) are senior actors but do not throw attitude. In fact, Rajeev is very helpful while shooting.” She continues,
“People on the sets keep teasing me because I like Rajeev. But it’s nothing serious.” Narrating an interesting incident Gazal reveals, “At our launch party Rajeev walked up to me and said, ‘You are so cute. I hope we have a track together.’ I was so excited. I hope we do have a track together and I play his love interest.”
Having made a foray into theatre with Gujarati plays, Gazal made her debut on television with the show ‘Happy Go Lucky’ (Star One). “I do not have much time for plays but would love to do them,” she adds. The actor who plays a chirpy girl in ‘Left Right Left’ says that her character in the show is not a reflection of herself. “Pooja speaks in sms language.
It’s difficult to have a conversation if you keep using sms lingo,” she laughs. She further reveals that the actors had to undergo a rigorous training in Raigarh where they learnt rock climbing, trekking and staying underwater. “It was difficult but exciting,” she says. Gazal vouches that her show is a welcome change from the regular soaps. “It is targeted at the youth which I am sure most of them can relate to,” she sums up.

Deepraz Rana admires Rajeev
The television industry is not really known for it’s generosity for others, so it comes as a pleasant surprise when an actor praises another. Deepraz Rana aka Major Nair of Left Right Left feels that Rajeev Khandelwal is not only a good actor but also has a knowledge of direction and production. “Rajeev is extremely popular. Whenever I meet people who know that I am doing Left Right Left, they ask me about him. I feel he is the most popular star on television,” says Deepraz. Seems like Sujal’s popularity doesn’t seem to be fading. What say Sujal… errr..Rajeev?

‘A go-getter attitude doesn’t guarantee success’
Deepraz Rana, who believes in winning the race slowly and steadily, talks to PREMA K about his pursuit from the Indian Military Academy to Left Right Left on television
A little about your character in Left Right Left.
I am playing the role of Major Nair who is the Vice President of the Institute, besides being a physical trainer. He wants the cadets to do the toughest of exercises. He believes that girls can’t be good soldiers and gives them the most difficult exercises to do. He is harsh and rude to the students and reports to Major Chandok played by Puneet Issar.
What attracted you to the show?
The show’s is different from the genre of family dramas. Besides, I wanted to work with producers, Deeya and Tony Singh.
How much do you relate to Major Nair?
Personally, I don’t relate to him, but professionally I do, as the character is in the army and I qualified for the Indian Military Academy. But didn’t take it up as I wanted to become an actor.
Something about him that you’d like to change?
Major Nair is very rude. I feel he should be lenient to students. On second thoughts, he is perfect as per the storyline.
What is important to you when you sign a project, the role or the money?
The role is important as acting is my profession. One always looks for better roles but money is equally important in life.
Which is your favourite character you’ve performed? Why?
My favourite role was the one I played in The Great Maratha. I played Prince Janko Sindhia. The novelty was that I played a double role. Once the prince dies, the trainer comes across an alcoholic man who resembles the prince and asks him if he would change his mannerism and lifestyle to take the place of the prince. I played both the roles.
Don’t you feel that most TV actors get a raw deal in films?
To an extent, TV actors get a raw deal, when they agree to do insignificant roles but then there are actors like Irrfan Khan, Parmeet Sethi and Vijay Raaz who got decent roles in films. It’s a subjective matter. TV provides a vast reach but every TV actor aspires to do films and that will never change.
Why do you refer to television as a money-making medium? Why not films and commercials also?
People shoot round the clock as people have to meet deadlines. With daily soaps, acting on TV means regular work. Moreover, actors can do more than one show at a time whereas films take time. One doesn’t get to do commercials regularly.
If you had to choose between films and television, what would it be?
It would surely be films. The canvas and impact of films is different. Once the TV show goes off air, people forget you but in case of films particularly hit ones, people remember the
characters as well as the actors. Everyone remembers the characters of Gabbar Singh and Basanti and they also remember Amjad Khan and Hema Malini who played the roles. Films live forever because of repeated telecast on different channels and the music. Recall value of films is more as compared to TV shows.
Why has your career been moving at a slow and steady pace? Don’t you believe in the go-getter attitude?
I believe in ‘slow and steady wins the race’, and I want to win. Just having a go-getter attitude doesn’t guarantee success. Over enthusiastic people may get exhausted if they don’t get what they want on time.
Naksha is supposed to be a first of its kind Hindi film. Tell us a little about it.
It’s an adventure film. I’m playing Jackie Shroff’s brother who is assigned the job of capturing Viveik Oberoi’s. To find out whether my character succeeds or not in the mission, you have to watch the film.
What about your other film, Red Swastik?
It’s a thriller, directed, produced and written by Vinod Pandey. He has also made serials -Reporter and Airhostess.
You are doing a new TV show Akhiyo Ke Jharoko Se!
I’m playing a negative character in it. I’m working with BAG films for the first time. They’ve got good production values.
If not an actor, what would you have been? Why?
I always wanted to be an actor. That’s why I came to Bombay with the determination to succeed.
How would you like to see yourself five years from now?
A well-established actor doing substantial roles in films and even television.

`When you risk nothing, you risk everything'
Exploring the new realms with an added bounce to every step, Rajeev
Khandelwal is surely going places
From documentary film making to modelling and acting, you have
definitely come a long way…
Yes, and believe me it has been an enriching experience. I made a
couple of docudramas (nearly 35) on subjects like child labour, women
labour and the army; did a few ads, got noticed and was signed for a
small appearance in a serial.
Do you remember your first shot in front of the camera?
My first shot was with the very talented and senior Rohini Hattangadi
for the serial Kya Haadsa Kya Haqeekat, and my mind was completely
blank. I don't recollect anything about that shot. But, I guess I
must have performed well, as after that, I got the offer for a lead
role in Kahin to Hoga from the same production house.
Did you always aspire to be an actor?
Yes. Though I hailed from an army background, I fantasised about
being an actor. But when I reached college I gave it up considering
it to be rather whimsical. But destiny had other plans I guess.
Aren't you trying your hand at films?
Well, I am getting plenty of offers but nothing has excited me so
far. When the co-stars are good, the script is not appealing or vice
versa. If I get a good opportunity, I am going to be all for it.
seedhay kaho na ke u mean aamna by good co-stars as we know tum dono ko kitnay film offers mille, lekin u see rajeev aur aamna want 2 do a very romantic movie
Do you think that after TV actors like Amarr Upadhyay failed in
Bollywood, other small screen stars are fearing films?
No. If there is an Amarr Upadhyay, there is also a Shah Rukh Khan.
And, I absolutely admire Amarr for trying his best..
At the peak of your career with KTH, you gambled and accepted an
offer for Time Bomb. Was that a big risk?
I believe that `If you risk nothing, you risk everything'. It was a
big banner and I am proud that they selected me for the role. I
worked with a top director, Ketan Mehta, and have definitely
benefited from this experience. With Deal Ya No Deal, where there was
no readymade script and spontaneity was required. I learnt to act and
react instantaneously. At least I am happy that I got the
opportunity. Not many actors are lucky that way. Anuraag is still
only recognised as Anuraag. I don't want to stuck with one image.
Rajeev itna acha lagta hai agar risks lena tho aamna ko propse kyun nahin karte don't worry aamna tumhe apne 600 joothon se nahin peetay gishe loves u rajeevbas usse tumhare un theen lafzon ka intezaar hai, i love you!!!!!!!. dekho aamna ne kth mein tumhe pehle propse kiya na, ab tumhara haq bantha hai ke tum bhi karo
Is your character in your latest show Left Right Left inspired by
Shah Rukh's character in Main Hoon Naa?
The backdrop of military life is the same. And I play captain
Rajveer. The only similarity is that my character doesn't wear
uniform like Shah Rukh's character.
Do you feel insecure about the cutthroat competition everywhere?
Where is the competition? I am the reigning king! Well, jokes apart,
I have confidence in myself, and try to live up to my own
expectations.
And, Aamna…
Hmmm… I haven't met her for 25 days now…
So, you are even counting days…
Oh! Aamna and I are just `good friends'.
Rapid Fire: Your favourite…
Actor: Amitabh Bachchan-aamna ke bhi favourite
Director: Yash Chopra-aamna ke bhi favourite
Movie: Shakti
Colour: Black-aamna loves white, kya contrast hai
Perfume: Allure from chanel-aamna loves perfumes 2,waise aamna ki fav kaunsi hai
Style mantra: Originality-dono ke khayalaath kitnay milthay hai, even aamna feels ke style is inborn
Co-star: …hmm…still waiting for that one-zindagi mein pehli baar rajeev did not say aamna and i know why usse samajh aagayi thi ke yeh journalist uski takkar ka hai tho ghabrahat ki wajah se aamna nahin kaha aur dekho kitni ruk ruk ke baath kar raha hai
Accessory: My watch-aamna ne bhi tumhe 2004 mein bday pe watch gift ki thi na, no wunderits ure fav, dono ko kitni achi lagti hain watchesisliye shayd saath mein waqt acha beeththa hai

Did I hear Rajeev is arrogant?"
Best of the rest: Rajeev Khandelwal
The moment The Karismatic Khandelwal enters the TV sets, girls go
crazy and guys go jealous. No one can still point out that what
exactly is the pulling force towards him! But, the darker side to
this personality was said to be his arrogance and high-handedness on
sets. His starry tantrums and proud that kept him always aloof from
the rest of his co-stars.
Here's Mid-Day's special report based on a survey, held amongst his
latest co-stars to find out the truth behind the most controversial
topic i.e. The Khandelwal effect.
"I love working with him"
The sultry, seductive: Shweta Salve
One of the hottest women of Indiantelevision is really impressed
with her current co-star. "Rajeev is a fun-loving person and is the
best actor around. I'm really impressed by him as a person and as an
actor, I'd give him infinite points." explains this dusky beauty. On
being asked to define The Khandelwal effect, she laughs, "This
effect is really dominating on sets and we love spending our
shooting hours under this spell. I just love working with him."
Her take on media writing ill about Rajeev, "Oh that's disgusting! I
too opined of him as arrogant but you have to meet him to believe
that he is one of the sweetest in the business."
"He's a big flirt!!!"
Cutie-pie: Aparna
"He's extremely adorable to work with. He is obviously a really good
actor but will be a better comedian because his sense of humour is
really great. He can even fly-off the seriousmost situation in
laughter." tells Appu, this is what she is apparantly called on the
sets.
"Oh, he's a big flirt!!! But a real big secret is that even my hubby
doesn't mind him flirting with me, maybe because he knows him well
by now. Rajeev can actually turn anyone in his favour!" We wonder if
he's a magician or something!
"Did I hear Rajeev is arrogant?"
The pyaari Priyanka
Now here we have the latest sizzle on tube who prefers acting deaf
to such rumours, "Did I hear Rajeev is arrogant? Well, we don't mind
b'cause that person himself would've been mindless."
"Rajeev is really nice person and I enjoy all scenes with him. It's
nothing special but a happy feeling comes when you look at that cute
face. I really respect him a lot as an actor (though her favourite
is Varun Badola) as well as a person." Adds Priyanka who was trying
Rajeev's jackets and doing a fashon-show kind of thing in front of
the appauding cast when we reached the sets.
"I was a KTH viewer"
The top Tapori: Arjun Bijlani
Arjun has really gone into the core of Alekh and the same can be
realized by the style in which he praised Rajeev, "Apun ko vo chikna
pehle se ich full-to mast lagta hai. Set pe vo kabhi kabhar
chokrilog ke sath naatak karta hai par apun ke sath baut ache se
pesh aata hai, darta ahi naa, kahiin apun ne uske vaat laga de to?"
Listening to that, even Rajeev would have gone crazy but here comes
what Arjun has to say, "I was a regular viewer of KTH and am a big
fan of his. My mom too loves him! My respect for him has grown after
working with him. He especially went to meet my mom at the house
which made her very happy."
"Oh man! He is too good."
Mr. Confused: Kunal Kapoor
"The Khandelwal effect is overpowering. We have a great time on sets
when he is around. All the groundsmen are really happy with him too.
And Manish Sir (The editor) favours him the most. Oh man! He is too
good."
Though we didn't require any further explaination, Kunal expresses
his misery, "I haven't shot any exclusive scene with him which I'm
dying for. Priya (Priyanka Bassi) keeps teasing us on that because
amongst the cadets, she has the maximum scenes with him, lucky
girl!!!" We hope Tony and Deeya are listening to Kunal's plea.
"Banda ye bindaas hai!!!"
The raja of flirts: Vikas Manaktala
Visiting the sets of this latest wavewalker on television, we surely
realized why the serial is doing so well. The characters live off-
screen as well. Vikas stands for us as the proof saying, "Are
poochna he tha to kisi hot chhori ka number poochte. Rajeev kaisa
hai vo to us se baat karke pata chal he jayega na aapko! Nahi pata
chala to meri mummy se pooch lena, vo Kahiin To Hoga dekhti thi
naa!!!"
We literally had to request him to stop but he still didn't, "Huda
says, banda ye bindaas hai and Vikas says hats-off to you Rajeev."
"It's a real pleasure"
The Adorable: Harshad Chopraa
By now, the ill-wishers of Rajeev must have got enough material to
stuff their exaggerating mouths but still there's more to go, "I
think those who write all this have a lot of spare time to spend
hours over thinking ill of a extremely warm person. I never ever
felt I was working with a big star till my girlfriend clearly stated
that if I didn't arrange her meeting with Rajeev, she'll kill me" He
laughs.
Now this kind of a blackmail must be a commen lingo with the
girlfriends of Rajeev's male co-stars. What say?
"He has such a adorable smile"
The mobile girl: Ghazal Rai
"So finally you asked my opinion!!!" grins Ghazal who was jumping
restlessly to comment on her latest crush "Don't you think he is
really cute. His smile, gestures everything is just so sweet." Since
we were willing, she added, "I wish to have a lot of scenes with him
in the future b'cause acting with him is so much fun!!!"
When asked about The Khandelwal effect, "Better call it The
Khandelwal magic! And if other girls can go ga ga over him, why
can't I???" We preferred to stay quiet and came back smiling.

felt I was working with a big star till my girlfriend clearly stated
that if I didn't arrange her meeting with Rajeev, she'll kill me" He
And if other girls can go ga ga over him, why
can't I???" We preferred to stay quiet and came back smiling.
thanks a lot ASHESHA. harshad has a girlfriend! many ladies on our forum are going to be really jealous especially the biggest Ali fan on our forum. i hope u guess who, ashesha?!

Here's a bad news for Aalekh fans:
Aaj ka Arjun
Arjun Bijlani dislocates his shoulder in a street brawl
Arjun Bijlani aka Alekh of Left Right Left was returning home from a party on Thursday night when he was confronted by a group of men. They stopped Arjun's car and started teasing his female friend who was accompanying him, thus provoking him into a fight. Unfortunately, Arjun ended up with a dislocated shoulder in the fight that ensued.
Recalling the incident, Arjun says, "I was returning home after partying with my co-stars of Left Right Left. After dropping Aparna Tilak at Shivaji Park, I drove on towards the suburbs. I had this friend with me who is not from industry. As we reached Andheri, a group of young boys stopped my car and started passing comments on her. I tried to make a quick escape, but they didn't let us go ahead. I couldn't stop myself from getting involved in a fight."
Although Arjun was successful at handling the goons single-handedly, he is now upset about the whole incident. "I know getting into a mess like this can be dangerous, but I just had to save our lives and give it back to them. I am badly hurt. My brother has to help me have bath. My shoulder pains all the time and now I wear a sling when I go for my shoots. The sling will renmain for another three weeks," says Arjun.

Love is in the air
Rajeev Khandelwal gifts an autographed copy of his interview to an airhostess
Recently, Rajeev Khandelwal made a lasting impression on an airhostess. The actor was returning from Jaipur to Mumbai on a Jet Airways flight on Saturday when the in-flight airhostess was floored by his presence and gave him extra attention.
"There were few passengers on that particular flight. The airhostess recognised Rajeev and was pleasantly surprised to see him. She couldn't help herself from giving him extra attention and even expressed her admiration for him," says our source. And Rajeev reciprocated with an autographed copy of a newspaper article that featured him.
"Actually, Rajeev was reading that article. And seeing the airhostess's sincere admiration for him, he gifted her the newspaper article after he had autographed it. The airhostess was touched for she had a gift she could treasure all her life," adds the source. When contacted, Rajeev didn't deny the incident but refused to comment

Puneet might just see red!
Intriguing things happen on the sets of SAB TV's Left Right Left, the serial about men in uniform. It seems Puneet Issar, the Bollywood baddie who plays the Brigadier in this show, generally keeps to himself and is regarded with respect by the rest of the cast. His he-man physique and treble voice are intimidating enough to scare away younger actors.
But Vikas, who plays Hooda in the serial, is one daring chap and a prankster. On one such occasion, when this notorious guy and Aparna Tilak (Dr.Shalini in the show) were passing by Puneet's personal green room, he banged hard on the door and ran away, leaving Aparna standing right in front of the door, when Puneet came out with a menacing look. She stood there trembling, only to later encounter a smile from the big, burly man who had by then realised that she was not the culprit. And Vikas' mischief doesn't end here. He is also known to entertain the crew by imitating the villain's style of dialogue delivery.
Beware Hooda! For the day when you will be caught red-handed you might just be sent marching Left Right Left!

Marching together
Vikas Manaktala and Priyanka Bassi
Is anything brewing between Priyanka Bassi and Vikas Manaktala? A few days ago, Priyanka celebrated her birthday at a restaurant at Oshiwara. Vikas was in the thick of things at the bash.
Both Priyanka and Vikas are co-stars in the SAB daily Left Right Left. Unit sources on this Tony and Deeya Singh show say that from day one Priyanka and Vikas got along extremely well. They would always be in each other’s company on the sets.
Comfort zone
Vikas, who is seen as the cool dude Huda in the show, says, “As we are both from New Delhi, there were lots of common notes to share. I discovered that Priyanka stayed quite close to my place in Delhi and moreover my sister and she studied in the same school. Moreover, as we were acting opposite each other, all our scenes were together. as a result, there was a lot of interaction between us on the sets.”
Khaas dosti
So is there more to their friendship? “Priyanka is a co-star and a very sweet friend, that’s all,” says Vikas, who made his debut with Left Right Left.
“At the moment, my career comes first,” adds Vikas, who arrived in Mumbai two years back. “I enrolled at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Academy. I used to model and did fashion shows before that.
At the moment I am only concentrating on Left Right Left. I have learnt martial arts and kickboxing and am heavily into fitness; all this is holding me in good stead in the daily as I do the stunts myself without any padding,” says Vikas, who also harbours big screen aspirations.
Co-star katha
Priyanka plays the go-getter Naina in the show. She says, “As it was my birthday, I had invited all my co-stars at Chawla Da Dhaba in Oshiwara. It was great fun. I met Vikas for the first time on the sets of Left Right Left. He is a co-star. There is nothing more to it.”
What made Priyanka’s birthday extra special was the fact that her mother had specially come down from Delhi for her big day.
“As we were shooting till early morning on my birthday, I held this get-together later in the evening,” says Priyanka. She stays with her sister, who is studying in Mumbai.
Priyanka earlier featured in the English serial Bombay Talking (Zee Café). “That makes Left Right Left my Hindi serial debut,” she adds

Sameer plans for an actor's forum!
Sameer Sharma has his hands full with Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii (as Krishna) and Left Right Left (as Navin Singh Ahluwalia) but this doesn't stop the actor from
working for the welfare of the actor community. The actor along with his other friends in the industry are all gearing up to open a forum for actors, writers and directors, who can attend workshops and training sessions during their leisure hours.
"The actors generally whale away their time when they aren't shooting and I've been talking to my friends who have shown interest in starting a forum. Most of the actors aren't trained also these writers and directors have acted sometime in the past. So, we plan to have workshops by trained and veteran actors and if all goes well, we might also start a production house too.At the end of it, it's about having fun and also learning from it. We will make small beginnings, and meet at someone's house or a hall or wherever suitable," says the Delhi bred charming actor who began his career with Star One's Dil Kya Chahta Hai and has been an advertising and IT professional in the past.
Coming back to Sameer's television work, he plays a sutradhar (Navin Singh Ahluwalia) in Left Right Left and his character is yet to go on air in the coming episodes. As of now, he's extremely fond of the title track of Left Right Left and has gone ahead to put that as his caller tune.
" I think it's a very nice and catchy song and by far it's the best I've heard for a television show," smiles Sameer.
Here's hoping his plans materialize soon and the industrywallas benefit from it too.

a very good news:
on friday, that is 8 september, at 9 p.m. sab tv par lrl ki ab tak ki poori kahaani dikhaayee jayegi sirf 2 hours mein. jinke pahle episodes miss ho gaye the, don't miss to watch.
secondly, maine tv par lrl ka ek trailor dekha. usme yeh dikhaaya gaya:
aalekh is punching a boxing sack. ali and huda are also exercising. then huda says " pata nahin naina mere saath ball mein jayegi ya nahin, lagta hai zindagi mein pahli baar shart haar jaaoonga."
then ali says" par aalekh bhai ke saath kaun jaayega?"
just then ek shot dikhaaya jaata hai jisme ek ladki red colour ki shimmering shift pahne hue eye make-up kar rahi hai. hamein uska poora chehra naheen dikhaaya jaata. phir use lipstick lagaata hua dikhaata hain. phir uske legs par focus hota hai. phir wo aati hai aur in teenon se kahti hai"hello boys". hamein uska face nahin dikhaaya gaya.
par maine use recognise kar liya. wo yudi hai!! yudi ladki ki tarah dress up ho kar aalekh ki date ban kar jaayega!!
so finally, mystery over ho gayi.
tum log bhi dekhna. trailor baar baar dikhaaya jaa raha hai. tum log aaraam se pehchaan loge ke wo yudi hai.:D :) ;)

After Sushmita Sen adopted Renee and chose to be a single parent, it is now Rajiv Khandelwal who will be embarking on similar territory. Currently riding a high with the success of his second daily Left Right Left on SAB channel, he has adopted a five-year old girl child called Suhasini.
"I really don't want to make a public declaration of this. I've kept it a secret so far. But I guess such news will definitely get out and cannot be kept a secret. Her name is Suhasini. I adopted her because I love kids especially little girls. I saw her picture and fell in love with her face. I went to an institute called Muskaan and adopted her. But to me she's my daughter," he says.
Wouldn't this adopted child later cause problems for Rajiv, especially when he has a family and children of his own? "Why should it pose to be a problem in the future? To me there is no difference between my biological child and Suhasini,” he says.
Rajiv had been visiting Muskaan for a while now. "I'm not sure Suhasini knows my identity. Every time she's asked about me, she shyly says I'm on television." Talking about his new show Rajiv says, "I took on my second daily with the intention of moving forward as an actor. The pleasure of wearing an army uniform in a serial made me sign Left Right Left. I always wanted to be in the army. This is my chance to fulfill my dreams. The army isn't easy to portray on the small screen. We need to work harder on the concept."
Although the serial is doing well, it hasn't surpassed his popularity as Sujal on Ekta Kapoor's Kahiin To Hoga. "Give it time. Sujal did not become popular in one day. If history is created everyday it becomes hysteria. I find myself improving as an actor. I'd still like to do work sparingly. As long as my financial needs are taken care of I'd rather do work I believe in."
This time there are no stories linking him to his Left Right Left co-star Shweta Salve. "I guess people are too busy talking about Aamna Sharif and me, to link me to anyone else. But my friendship with Aamna remains consistent, not a casualty of all the gossip and speculation surrounding us."
• “I adopted her because I love children, especially little girls. I saw her picture and fell in love with it”– Rajiv Khandelwal

Deepraz Rana who played the role of Tatya Tope in The Rising is playing Harsh Major Nair in Sab's Left Right Left. Deepraj turned a year older on 31st August. As his friends from the industry reveal, `normally every year he invites people home and we chill out.' But this year the actor was busy shooting and doing a Left Right Left on the sets.
On a rather philosophical note Deepraz says, "I didn't celebrate my b'day this time. And that's definitely not because I am getting older. It was just that I was busy. I believe age is just a number and it's all in the mind. One is as old or as young as one thinks oneself to be. I think with each passing year, I have not just grown in experience but even matured as an actor."
We couldn't agree more, considering his lineup of work which includes serials like Tara, Umeed, Reporter, Chanakya, Chandrakanta, Udaan, Tipu Sultan and films like LOC, The Rising and The Hero. Not just this, Deepraj has even done theatre with Nadira Babbar and Rani Balbir Kau.
Yet, somehow we think Deepraz still hasn't really got his due in the industry. Not too many people know about his body of work and all the roles he has played.
Let's hope by his next b'day, Deepraz find his true place in the industry.

Chat Jockey: What kind of movie would you like to debut with – action, romantic or comedy?
Rajeev: Passionate Romantic.....if given a choice
Chat Jockey: How is your off-screen chemistry with Shveta Salve?
Rajeev: Amazing.....She's a very nice person.
Chat Jockey: Who do you have best off-screen relationship with, amongst the LRL cadets?
Rajeev: All of them.
Chat Jockey: How have you been with your male fans?
Rajeev: These days I've been meeting men who like my work and adulation from fairer sex is anyhow welcome...
Chat Jockey: How was it meeting SRK?
Rajeev: It felt so good when Karan Johar and Shah Rukh came up to me and SRK said some encouraging words. It was great.
Chat Jockey: How do you justify that Captain Rajveer's character stands-out from other TV characters?
Rajeev: The concept of LRL is really unique and that is what makes Captain Rajveer too, different.
Chat Jockey: Which character is closer to your heart - Varun or Rajveer?
Rajeev: Rajveer - Because he has more time for human relationships.
Chat Jockey: You look amazing in uniform. Even Aamna must have seen you in this avatar, how did she react? Any comments from her?
Rajeev: Aamna is too busy with her KTH to see me in uniform.
Chat Jockey: Some fan from Peshawar asked him to invite her for his and Aamna's marriage.
Rajeev: If I and Aamna ever tie a knot, you are invited.
Chat Jockey: SRK and you both started you career from Delhi, landed in Mumbai, and have achieved a lot in your respective fields. He has his Mannat and you too wanna form your Jannat. How do you relate to him?
Rajeev: That made me so happy! Well, all of us come with our own destinies and let's see what mine has in store. Vaise I'm RK and he is SRK.....zyada difference nahi hai.
Chat Jockey: How was your childhood?
Rajeev: I was very naughty as a child.
Chat Jockey: Your first crush.
Rajeev: When I was in class 2
Chat Jockey: Please come to Peshawar
Rajeev: Peshawar is a coveted place; really, I wanna come there and hope to meet you too.
Chat Jockey: Why didn't you attend Priyanka Bassi's B'Day Party?
Rajeev: She didn't invite me!
Chat Jockey: If god grants you 3 wishes, 2 have already been full-filled, what would be the third one?
Rajeev: To be reborn as Rajeev Khandelwal
Chat Jockey: What would you like to change in your past?
Rajeev: Nothing, I'm happy and proud of it!!!
Chat Jockey: You’re doing shows in different cities, are you planning to come to Lucknow?
Rajeev: Lucknow is not on the list but maybe next time!
Chat Jockey: What are your future projects? Any movies in hand?
Rajeev: I can see nothing beyond LRL for the coming 6 to 7 months. Films may happen.
Chat Jockey: which festivals do you like the most?
Rajeev: Diwali…..I love Diwali.
Chat Jockey: You work in LRL with our favourite Aparna Tilak. How has she been as your co-star?
Rajeev: She was very supportive and I have a great off-screen rapport with her.
Chat Jockey: Who is the prettiest co-star you’ve worked with and you wanna work with again?
Rajeev: Certainly Aamna!
SIGN OFF MESSAGE: Thanks everyone for watching LRL and making it a success. I hope that we keep getting better and better...to retain your interest and your laughs...keep smiling always…..Love Rajeev.

Publicity hound: Rajeev Khandelwal
Whatever's happened to the 'reclusive' Rajeev Khandelwal? The actor was supposedly off press since he wanted to let his work do the talking. But we'd rather hear him speak now, especially since everything he's touched post Kahiin To Hoga has turned out to be a disaster.
So now we hear that the actor is going around town claiming to have adopted a girl child, who he loves dearly. It's sad to see him try to get publicity out of a sensitive issue like adoption, especially when there are so many actors who have done the same by keeping things dignified. Raveena Tandon, for instance, adopted two girls years ago but we never heard her hog the limelight over it.
We suggest Rajeev get a reality check on his failing career instead of bragging about his kind deeds.

A still from the show
SAB’s Left Right Left revolves around the lives of young cadets living in a military academy.
However, it seems the discipline and authoritarian attitude from reel life is seeping into the real life of the actors on the sets.
Recently, we heard reports about the production house (Tony-Deeya Singh) issuing notices to the actors asking them to report on the set on time and to not smoke, eat or drink on the premises. They even threatened stern action if they didn’t oblige.
Iron matrons!
A popular actor working on the show said, “This is completely ridiculous. We are not school students who need discipline. I am shocked by the behaviour of the production house.
A copy of Deeya Singh’s notice
There are a lot of senior actors working on the show. They definitely don’t need to be told to report on the set early and not eat and drink there. I have worked in other places as well but I’ve never come across something like this.”
According to the notice, any actor reporting to the sets 15 minutes post his call time will have one-third of his salary cut with effect from September 1.
There is also an attendance register on the set that records the ‘in time’ and ‘out time’ of all the actors. “It feels like I’m living in a hostel, where you have a matron asking you to report at a certain time,” said an actress.
Traffic woes
Apart from the language used in the notice, most of the actors felt that the 15-minute grace time was too little.
“The LRL set is in Hiranandani (Powai), which is the other end of town for most of us. We have people staying in Borivali, Mahim and Andheri who are stuck in traffic at times. It isn’t right to issue such a strict notice to them.”
We spoke to Shveta Salve, who plays the lead role on the show. When asked about the notice, she said, “Yes there is a notice in my make-up room.”
However, the actress refused to divulge any more information and refused to react. “I will cross that bridge when the time comes. Till now I haven’t had any issues with them.”
Aparna Tilak, who works with Shveta, also confirmed the notice. “I was in my room when the notice was put up.”
When asked for her reaction, she said, “I have always been on time. In fact, there are times when I have reached earlier than my call time. Traffic is a major issue and all of us have to deal with it.”
Blame the actors
Priya Arya blamed one or two actors on the show for causing problems. “This notice is not for everyone. It has been put up because certain actors have been causing delays and the production house has had to incur losses. I was a bit shocked when I read it, but then I spoke to the production manager and sorted things out.”
Regarding reporting on the set on time, she said, “I check what time I am required for my scene and report accordingly. For instance, if I have a scene at 6 pm I won’t go and sit on the set at 3 pm. Also, if actors leave home a bit early then everything will go smoothly.”
‘Cooperative’ katha
Deeya Singh, the producer of the show, said, “I am not aware about a notice being put up on the sets. There are too many things happening at the moment.”
What about issues regarding actors reporting late? “It happens everywhere. I think it’s a give-and-take situation. We want to make life easy for everyone, and the actors too need to realise that if they come late and hamper the shoot, it’s going to cause problems for everyone else.”
But Deeya was all praise for her LRL cast. She said, “These guys are really cooperative. I remember doing some shoots in the pouring rain and no one complained. There are both good and bad things happening around, but at the moment the good overtakes the bad.”

Hey guyz, check this out!
Rajiv Khandelwal adopts a girl child
Five-year-old Swati is the most recent addition to the actor's family
After Sushmita Sen adopted Renee and chose to be a single parent, it is now Rajiv Khandelwal who will be embarking on similar territory. Currently riding a high with the success of his second daily Left Right Left on SAB channel, he has adopted a five-year old girl child called Swati.
"I really don't want to make a public declaration of this. I've kept it a secret so far. But I guess such news will definitely get out and cannot be kept a secret. Her name is Swati.
To me there is no difference between my biological child and Swati,” he says.
Rajiv had been visiting Muskaan for a while now. "I'm not sure Swati knows my identity.

Set pe vo kabhi kabhar
chokrilog ke sath naatak karta hai par apun ke sath baut ache se
pesh ata hai, darta ahi naa, kahiin apun ne uske vaat laga de to?"
Mr. Confused: Kunaal Kapoor

Sujata says alvida
Telly actress Sujata Kumar, elder sister of actress-singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi and sister-in-law of filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, has filed for divorce after 24 years of marriage.
Sujata, who turned to acting a few years ago, has been on the television circuit for over two years.
She is seen in the SAB show, Left Right Left, playing mother to Naina (Priyanka Bassi). Earlier, Sujata featured in shows like Bombay Talking (Zee Café), Hotel Kingston (Star One) and Chi and Me (Zee).
Taking a call
When asked about the divorce, Sujata is forthright. “There are certain times in life when you have to take a decision. It is your call and once you have made up your mind; you stick to it. You come to a situation when you feel it is better this way now.”
The actress admits that the reason why she moved to Mumbai from Bangalore where her chartered accountant husband B A Kumar is based, was “to find her own space and do a rethink on her marriage.”
Three months back, she took the decision to seek legal separation. “There are several people who tell me, ‘What is the need to go through all this? Anyway you are leading your life and he is leading his; so why now after over two decades of marriage?’ But after a lot of thought and introspection, I feel it is better this way. Either you brush aside the issue or take it on.”
Incompatibilty
So what went wrong after all these years? “Things just can’t go wrong overnight. Some-times relationships sour and sometimes they just don’t take off. And then, over time, you feel it is better to let go and move on.”
Sujata has a teenaged daughter Krittika who lives in Bangalore with her father.
“She is studying in class X1 at Bishop Cotton School there. She is a grown-up girl and knows what is happening. Initially, when I took up acting, she wondered what made me do it overnight and was a tad embarrassed. But now she is cool about it and watches all my shows and commercials. She tells me ‘you are a rock star’ now.”
Corporate leanings
Sujata had an arranged marriage and lived for over a decade in Muscat, Oman, where her husband was based. The couple decided to relocate to India in 1996 and set up base in Bangalore. In Muscat, Sujata kept herself busy with corporate gaming which involves hosting live interactive games for company employees to facilitate team-building. When she shifted to Bangalore, she continued with corporate gaming.
“I made my acting debut late in life. It began just for the heck of it. I had my portfolio done and began modelling. I had friends in the media who put me on to production houses,” says the 40-plus Sujata who prefers to live
by herself. “My parents live in Mumbai and so does Chotu (that’s how she calls sister Suchitra) but I need to find my own space,” says Sujata, who is also looking at big screen assignments

finally!! the moment has arrived. all is well in lrl now. huda and naina are friends now. in fact, now all the cadets as well as the academy are on gud terms (except major nair ofcourse). ab to next week ball zaroor dikhaayenge.
ritu left rajveer's room saying"i love flowers". when she went away rajveer said" but i hate flowers". is it possible that rajveer ritu par spy hone ka shak kar raha hai? very gud. i don't like ritu and i think she is the spy. moreover, when ritu asked rajveer to pick her up for the ball, he said" aap to koi choice hi nahin chhodti hain." this reflects that rajveer doubts ritu.
aakhir ritu itnee speed se rajveer se close ho rahi hai. something is fishy! let us see ab aage kya hota hai.

Hey, all Pooja fans check this out.....
Newcomer Gazal Rai is smitten by her `Left Right Left' co-star.
Looks like actor Rajeev Khandelwal (Captain Rajveer) in `Left Right
Left' (SAB) has got an admirer on the sets. The grapevine suggests
that actor Gazal Rai (Pooja) is smitten by Rajeev.
Insiders reveal that she blushes every time Rajeev is around. In fact,
Rajeev is aware and is amused by this too. Recently, when he had to
perform a difficult stunt, the cast and crew thought that it would be
tough to complete it in one shot. But not only did Rajeev perfect it
in one go, but he even gestured at Gazal saying, "This one's for you!"
When asked about her fondness for her co-actor Rajeev, Gazal admits
saying, "He is very cute. Both Rajeev and Shveta (Salve) are senior
actors but do not throw attitude. In fact, Rajeev is very helpful
while shooting." She continues,
"People on the sets keep teasing me because I like Rajeev. But it's
nothing serious." Narrating an interesting incident Gazal reveals, "At
our launch party Rajeev walked up to me and said, `You are so cute. I
hope we have a track together.' I was so excited. I hope we do have a
track together and I play his love interest."
Having made a foray into theatre with Gujarati plays, Gazal made her
debut on television with the show `Happy Go Lucky' (Star One). "I do
not have much time for plays but would love to do them," she adds. The
actor who plays a chirpy girl in `Left Right Left' says that her
character in the show is not a reflection of herself. "Pooja speaks in
sms language.
It's difficult to have a conversation if you keep using sms lingo,"
she laughs. She further reveals that the actors had to undergo a
rigorous training in Raigarh where they learnt rock climbing, trekking
and staying underwater. "It was difficult but exciting," she says.
Gazal vouches that her show is a welcome change from the regular
soaps. "It is targeted at the youth which I am sure most of them can
relate to," she sums up.

Bad news for all Vikas a.k.a Huda fans.Specially for me.
The tie knot of the film star Amrita Rao and a normal net guy Abhi is not very old. In the span of time news is making rounds, this time the knot tied with a television actor. The renowned television actor Vikas Mankatala, acting in the serial Left Right Left on Sab TV has fallen for a virtual friend Heer as per our reliable sources. The serial features Rajeev Khandelwal and Priyanka Bassi in other main leads.
When contacted the best friend and co star Rajeev He said “I know Heer. She is a very nice person and I am happy that my best friend has fallen for her. Yes they will be getting married soon and I am very happy.” Priyanka said while laughing “Heer ne mera patta kat diya hain. But I am very happy for them that they have found true love.”
The couple is busy but we caught them somewhere. Vikas said “What can I say, the press comes anywhere to meet us. But this is very personal and I would not like to share this” Heer gave some light as she is not a celebrity “I had gone to sets to meet Rajeev and we had love at first sight over there. I am very happy that I am getting married to a person, who loves me a lot.” When asked how he takes time from busy schedule, she said “Though we had crush at first sight, our love grew through internet from a site called India-forums.”
This is the second instance within a month to tie the knot through internet. So what are all of you upto. Use internet to the maximum, kash aapki kismat chamak jaye.hey, datz sad:( .......& quite a shock:eek: ........i mean, itni jaldi kya thi use shaadi karne ki????

yaar i don't know whether to say this or not but i feel that choosing a member of the week is going to create complexes among forum pals. yaar i don't believe in competition between friends. hum yahaan dost banaate hain aur apne views post karte hain. we r not here to participate in some kinda competition. please yaar don't start such a thread. aage it is your wish. par this is bound to create problems.
