Film Synopsis:
Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (KANK) centers on the budding romance between Jai (Shahrukh Khan) and Shalini (Rani Mukherji) - both married to different people. Settled into a life of domestic ritual, and convinced that they are happy in their respective relationships, Jai and Shalini still yearn for something deeper and more meaningful, which is precisely what they find in each other. From a relationship starting off in pleasant barbs the two begin to develop and acknowledge the feelings they have beneath the surface. When their feelings come to the fore, what results is a collision of lives and emotions, affecting everyone involved and changing them forever.

Changes:
- Arjun Rampal replaced John Abraham.
- As stated by Karan Johar, Rani Mukherji will play the role that was originally written with Kajol in mind.
- Rumoured to include a cameo appearance by Kajol who had, to date, a part in every Karan Johar directed movie.
- Like previous movies written by Karan Johar (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Kal Ho Naa Ho), this one will also have a four-word-title and will start with a "K".

Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is the story of Dev (Shahrukh Khan) and Maya (Rani Mukerji), both married to different people and convinced that they are happy, until they meet each other. Dev is a professional footballer whose promising career is nipped in the bud after an accident that causes him to become handicapped. He is married to Rhea (Preity Zinta) whose career is on an upswing. Dev and Rhea have a son, Arjun. Maya teaches at a nursery and is married to her closest friend, Rishi (Abhishek Bachchan), a PR consultant. Rishi's father, Sam (Amitabh Bachchan) is a flamboyant fun-loving man whose life revolves around the happiness of his son and daughter-in-law. Dev's mother Kamaljeet Saran (Kiron Kher) loves her son dearly but when it comes to giving advice or voicing her opinion she usually takes Rhea's side.

A chance encounter between Dev and Maya gives way to a strong connection between them. The blossoming romance between them soon causes complications in their married lives. They begin to look at their marriages with a new perspective and gain the courage to face critical issues that they had previously avoided. How all the different characters deal with this new development in their lives forms the crux of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna.

n then i opened the first link it said tht shahruk khans name is dev and rani's name is maaya etc etc...
but wen i opened the second link .. it said tht shahrukh's name is JAi n rani's name is Shalini ... or wotevaa...
i was lyk ...... how cud thys bee..... so dun kno wots true n wots fake...
