Basmati rice 200gms
onions - 2 ( 1 big 1 medium)
button mushroom 50 gms
coriander powder 1tsp
red chilli powder 1tsp
cumin seeds 1 tsp
salt to taste
soya refind oil 2 tbsp
soya nuggets 75gms
shelled green peas 30gms
ginger paste 1tsp
garam masala 1tsp
turmeric powder a pinch
water 2 cups
Wash rice, soak and keep aside.Drain the water just before cooking.
Soak the nuggets in warm water until they are soft
Chop onion,cut the mushroom and ginger to thin slices-julienne.
Heat soya refind oil in a thick bottomed pan.
Add cumin seeds,ginger ,mushroom and onion allowing enough time for all ingredients to turn golden brown in colour.
mix rice and fry for two- three minutes.
Add salt and the remaining spices except garam masala.
Add nuggets and peas.Fry for two minutes .
Add water and bring to boil.Lower heat to medium low,stir the pulav and cover them.
It will take 10-15 minute to cook.
Add garam masala.
