I wanted to post an article about rebelde way, its a twin of remix in latin america.

Medellín, Cali and Bogota are shaken by the music of RBD, that receive double Platinum Disc by their high sales of ' Ours amor'

To safeguard the status of the center, there is a secret group called “La logia” that functions within the school and tries to sabotage all of the scholarship students. this is a realy cool idea.... even i want to make remix the most watched show in the country....and the most popular of course....
but abt how many ppl who like remix.... well for that we hav to wait till the telly awards... then we will know what is the percentage of ppl who r remix crazy (im krazy!!! :D)...
and abt the videos.... im sorry but i disagree.... there r many kekta shows video which do the rounds and there is JJKN too... iv seen some too... every day a new video is made... and u can judge which will hav most videos...

my cousin stays in chille and i asked her whether she knows about rebelde.. bec spanish is the local language there.. she didnt have any idea.. but yesterday she told me i saw on tv that they are going to start rebelde there next week.. she isnt sure if its the new season or they are rerunning it.. but from what she could see.. they are rerunning rebelde.. i dont know how useful this info is.. but since i had it i told u guys!!

Rebeldé marks history in the Mexican television, when becoming the first soap opera with one hour and average of duration, as of the next Monday

The first disc of titled RBD ' Rebeldé has been finished recording in Portuguese; album that the Brazilians will be able to listen in November

And Sales might get affected only by piracy.

Out Side the Venue, hundreds of people will be waiting just to see the Remix Band.
Police will be unable to control the crazy crowd.

Its just exciting even think about it.
Imagine when it becomes a Reality.

I agree with u ajay that piracy would affect the sales number. But to some extend we can be sure of the fan number Remix has.

I really hope the English version of Rebelde does hit the channels in India. After reading the articles u have posted on this show, I want to watch it eagerly.

Yes, Remix should think of making songs that would trigger with audience even after the show. The songs composed now r quite peppy and party numbers. But I do feel these songs are hit among the fans of Remix and the audience who would come will be aware of them when they perform in concert. The audience will hum it even after the show as it is already a hit.
I think most of the people will come to see the characters and have a look at whom they admire so much on-screen than the song they r performing.

More than song, they need to work on the lyrics of the songs. I sometimes feel there is bit work on lyrics that's required to make it a little sensible. Hey, I am not saying it not sensible, but could make it a better. ashirocks & rashrocks, I think u guys can help them:D

If it happens, it would be wonderful and for sure will take place in Mumbai. I hope they have all India tour and also come to B'lore to perform. Even then I will suerly come to Mumbai just for the concert. How exciting.

Yes ashi they are rockin.

But my mind is saying that there will an ULTIMATE Song From Remix, may be Second album, It will be the most rocking , full of josh, powerful lyrics, in an electrifying atmosphere, which makes evreyone crazy/mad about it.

It must slighlty a serious one, an effective message must be there in the song for youngsters

No, the two other people in the band are Vrinda(Lupita) and Nakul(Giovanni).
Sid is definitely not the person in the rebelde band. Nor is Meher.

Hey, chillax dudes! I'm not talking about remix but about rebelde, that is the mexican version of remix. The original version is the argentinian one called rebeldeway.

In rebelde, there are six members in the band. Apart from pablo(yuvi), marizza(anvesha), mia(tia) and miguel or manuel, I'm confused b/w the two names(ranveer); there are two more people in the band. They are Giovanni(Nakul) and Lupita(Vrinda).

I don't post false things and this info was given to me by a rebeldeway fan. So its definitely true guys.

Hi lokita, well, remix has just ended its season1 and the season 2 has just started. 3 new characters are being introduced in remix, one is of Shyla(Sol in rebelde) and the others are the baddie Professor and the other boy called Rghu who becomes an enemy of Yuvi(Diego in rebelde). Tia always says everything in 3rd person. Like: Tia will do this. Tia likes shopping.

Ranveer: He refers to himself in plural of "me" i.e "hum" in Hindi and if it is translated into english, it would be, "we".

Yuvraj: Well, I think he invented the word "sufi" in remix. And he uses "wacko" for Ashi.

MEXICO CITY (Hollywood Reporter) - What do you get when you create a hit teen soap bundled with its own chart-topping pop group and deliver it with a multimedia marketing blitz? Mucho dinero. >(A Lot Of Money)

"Rebelde" (Rebel), a coming-of-age soap about six well-heeled adolescents who turn to music to deal with their problems, has become a social phenomenon in the Spanish-speaking world.

The telenovela>(Soap Opera) is a remake of Argentina‘s "Rebelde Way," yet it has eclipsed its predecessor in popularity and is growing bigger than anyone had imagined. And it‘s not just audiences here that are watching the Mexican brat pack. Its producer, Mexican media giant Televisa, exports the program to 17 countries, including the United States, Israel , Spain and Brazil, where it is dubbed in Portuguese.

"Rebelde" owes a large part of its success to RBD, the program‘s teen pop group. When the main actors get a break from the television studio, they‘re usually on tour or recording a new album. RBD has generated so much buzz that some are comparing them to 1980s pop sensation Menudo. Yet unlike the all-boy band from Puerto Rico, RBD has three male and three female members.

The TV series and the group have had such a strong impact that even executive producer Pedro Damian acknowledged that the "Rebelde" craze caught him by surprise.

"It‘s incredible, it‘s something we never expected," he said. "The interesting thing about this project is that so many businesses have developed around it."

For Televisa, "Rebelde" is a multimedia dream come true. The hourlong TV program, which airs weekdays, captures an average audience share of 38% and draws a slew of advertisers eager to sell their products to impressionable teens.

RBD recently did a 35-city tour in Mexico and sold out every show. The band now records under the EMI/Televisa label and has sold more than 2 million records worldwide, Damian said. In addition, RBD enjoys heavy rotation on Televisa‘s radio stations.

Rebelde, the program‘s biweekly magazine distributed by Televisa‘s editorial unit, nearly doubled its circulation to 142,000 just three months after it hit stands in Mexico and the

The media firm also has delivered more than 2.6 million Rebelde-related text messages to the tune of about $1.8 million.

Product placement, licensing, merchandising, you name it, every aspect of the business is raking in revenue.

"About 300 products are associated with the program," Televisa licensing and products director Maricarmen Rotter said. "In Mexico, we‘ve never seen anything like this before because we‘ve never exploited it in this manner."

"Rebelde" and RBD are showing no signs of slowing down. The program is heading into its third season this month, a rarity for a Mexican telenovela. RBD is set to release in February or March an English-language album of previously recorded songs for the U.S. and Asian markets. Televisa also is developing a script for a feature film.

The marriage of TV and music also has worked well for TV Azteca, Televisa‘s rival. With its hit musical reality "La Academia," Azteca has cashed in big on television ad revenue, CD sales and concert tours. After four strong seasons in Mexico, the broadcaster recently launched "La Academia USA" on its U.S. Spanish-language network Azteca America.

Why has it enjoyed so much success? Television critic Alvaro Cueva said that by targeting young viewers and focusing on music, it has captured an audience that largely was ignored in Mexico. He also credits the marketing behind "Rebelde" and RBD. "More than a telenovela, ‘Rebelde‘ is a marketing concept," he said. "The least important (element) is the story."

Forming musicians from telenovelas is nothing new for Televisa. Mexican pop stars Thalia and Paulina Rubio got their start with juvenile group Timbiriche and went on to do soaps. Thanks in part to the exposure they gained from the novelas, their musical careers took off.

Yet as a package deal, nothing in Mexico has ever come together with fanfare like "Rebelde."

RBD, that arose from the Rebellious soap opera of the Television chain, sets out to conquer to the American market after successfully to have sent a disc in Portuguese in Brazil and to cause rage in other Latin American countries.

The actress and Sweet singer Maria Espinoza , who gives life to the Roberta personage in Rebel , commented to the press that is "very optimistic and contentments" by the "internationalization" of the musical group and indicated that RBD "only has the restlessness to take their music all to youth".

Candy Maria said that already they recorded the subject "Sálvame" for his material in English.

The young actress indicated that the incursion of RBD in the English-speaking market will not mean that neglects the Spanish public of speech.

RBD prepares a "disc surprise", suggested the actress, although it did not give greater details on the matter.

The musical group, integrated by Candy Maria, Anahí , Mayté Perroni, Alfonso Herrera , Christopher Uckerman and Christian Chávez, has become true phenomenon of sales in Mexico and other countries.

or is it nakul... one who dint give the exam...(actually here... the actor habib was affected by the mumbai flood and he got paralysed due to which he was in bed all this while... dont know when he's gonna come back in the story though)

nakul is the one with a wierd style... a kind of wannabe cool types... his dad became rich accidently or something (meaning he wasnt rich at one time... infact nakul's mom used to be sid's governess/baby sitter) and he used to be tia's boyfriend at one time (thats a very short period)...

And The He Meets Up With Some New Girl And It Goes For About Two Weeks After That They Get Back Together She Ask Him To Forgive Him For Not Believing In Him And They Get Back Together!!!
