My shairi is in hindi (but since I can't "write" in hindi, it's in the english alphabet). Although I feel I have a great grasp of the English language, hindi poems are easy for me, where as English poems just turn out awful. My poetry is very much like what they use for filmi songs and that's probably cuz I'm a big fan of all hindi music. I haven't written in a long while and the shers on that website are mostly from my college years. At that time though, these forums were not available and I was unable to share my work with very many people. Anyways... thanks for the compliments...I speak my mind and lately I've just been really frustrated (as you can see by me wanting to laat maro-fy Ekta). I fear that the story line is going down the drain like other recent serials especially those by Ekta. My prediction is that we'll have a long, horrendous wait for Jai and Bani to get together. When they do get together, viewership will be so low that either of two things will happen: either the show will end or they will fast forward 20 years and show the next generation. I really think this is pathetic and I'm not sure why they do this. Maybe if they read our posts they realize that they are definitely losing viewership and should do something to make us happy. Well, that's all for now. Must go to sleep! G'night!

I don't have enough knowledge about TV serials to know what usually happens in the long run. What a shame that Ekta seems to have such bad luck. I guess if they don't end the series like Naaz is predicting then maybe some of the characters will leave for some reason or another. I read somewhere that Ram K. left another series not too long ago.

I think I need to give this up cold turkey. What a shame since I only really started.

The frustrating part is just when u r losing interest something happens and then u r back in to the show again. Honestly, I really want to be out of it as I'm so in to it thats all what I think about , which is distracting me from lots of other important things in my life. Lol, so as I have stopped watching KS and now even reading the updates, its al about will power guys lol, so I don't have much to contribute to any of the discussions, so you'll only find me in this section or in the fan fic section which I updated for those of you that check.

I wanted to know are any of you book worms???? I was hoping someone could reccomend some good books that might be out or coming out or those that they might . I just finished up The Man She Thought She Knew by Shari Shutuck and Crazy Love by Cara Jansen. The first one is a thriller and the second is a murder suspence and I think I spelled the authors names right. I just bought Memoires of a Geisha and plan to start that possibly this weekend. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions.......

Oh do any of you guys watch House or Bones? As of now those are the only two shows that have premiered for the season. Can't wait for the rest!!!!

You know, I looooove the songs from Tum Bin also. They're so good. (I hope u are with the one "jiss ke bin tum jee nahin sakti!). The movie was good too. They'll show it on Zee or Sony here sometimes and I always watch it again.

It's been raining outside for awhile now. There's continuous thunder and lightning and it's so nice. Wish I could just go sit on the porch with mug of hot chocolate and a shawl, but I live here in the midwest (US) and it's already really cold. Okay guys, some of the really good threads are dying here on this forum so I have posted in all of them so they are at the top. Hopefully you all will get a few minutes to take a look at share your thoughts. Everyone is busy including myself so I know exactly how much trouble I wil be in about 30 minutes by being behind in my work.

Also towards the bottom there are two fan fics which you'd probably enjoy but would normally miss. Though mines a bit dead due to the lack of time I have right now Naaz's is going strong and it wouldn't hurt to reinforce a fellow memebers confidence in their writing by posting a sweet message, it's the holidays and the season of giving so..... give a small word ot thanks or encouragement, everyone knows that this can go a long way.

I'm happy I make u laugh. As I may have mentioned earlier, I crack myself up too much and it's good when others laugh too! About that hidden deewar, maybe a village of little people will be found behind it. You know they say walls can hear and maybe it's cuz the little people are always listening and then they go tell Ranveer what Bani is up to. Ok, I guess that's a little impossible, even for Ekta and the kids that write for her!
For Eid we went to pray at a roller skating rink. It was kinda cool cuz after namaaz all the kids went and got skates and started skating. If Zain was any older he would've really enjoyed it. Then my parents, nani, brother and his family all came over and we ate and ate and then took family portraits in front of the fireplace. We did it last year too so hopefully it will become a lasting tradition.
So u want to go to Bollywood, eh? There are so many young ppl doing that these days. All with bad hindi accents! How is yours? What type of movie would u want to act in? Or were u just kidding???? Ok, that's all...must get back to housework! :)

btw I watched DON and Jaaneman.
I actually had very low expectations for DON, I mean I really could not imagine Shahrukh fitting in Amitabh's shoes? But he acted well BUT again sorry SRK fans (as I don't reallly like him after Kabhi Alvida...) he looked GAY! I mean he really did? Infact he looked like Prince. So I kinda thought it was contradictory to the original Don's image. But its worth watching the movie.

Jaaneman well I could be biased since I am a Salman Khan fan now was cute. I wouldn't say a 5 star movie but there were some funny scenes and u should just go to hear Akshay Kumar's laugh in this movie. It was hilarious.

I'm soooo disgusted with the low level writing of the show that I thought that it was a good time to drop the show. RK was getting too addicting to look at and they killed all the charm in his character as well as Prachi's.

I just saw KANK last night (Finally!). I'm not condoning extra marital affairs or anything, but I really liked the movie. I don't know why a lot of people are not liking it. The two did something wrong and then they admitted what they did and tried to do what was right, got punished for it and then happy ending. It was just enough love and melodrama to make me happy. I saw Anthony Kaun He and found it to be ok, but not something I'd watch again. I'll be watching Pyaar Ke Side Effects next. I think I'm gonna really like that one. Let's see! Ok, here's my take on KANK...I realize that SRK and Rani's characters both had flaws, but so did their spouses. Like many, many marriages, the two couples were just not made for each other. I totally agree that an extra marital affair is wrong and they could've gone about it differently, but I don't think they're wrong for falling in love with each other after both of them worked hard and tried to make things better, but their spouses were too full of themselves and too busy dealing with their own lives to slow down and see what Rani and SRK's characters needed in life. It wasn't equal and marriage only works when there's equality. It doesn't mean that everything is 50/50, but it means that whatever is being done and whatever is being appreciated has to equal 100. I wonder if that makes sense to anyone but me. It's high fanda, philosophical stuff...I can explain further if need be.
People who get divorced do think about their kids. If they're in a loveless marriage, that ultimately affects the kids, especially since they're fighting all the time. Do u remember when the little boy gives up violin because he thinks that's what the parents are fighting about? I think both marriages were headed toward divorce anyway...but if SRK and Rani hadn't found each other, the 2 marriages would have just strained on and on.
The punishment then was that even though they could've easily been together after their spouses didn't forgive them (which is also a punishment), they had to wait 3 years to be with their true soul mate.
Ok, now about love after arranged marriage. This is just my humble opinion. I'm sure there are many different variations based on different people's experiences...this is just what I have observed. I believe that if you are lucky enough to find friendship in your marriage, then the love can become true love. Think about your very best friends, (male or female). You respect each other, love each other's company and usually trust each other and have great conversations. If any of these things are missing then that equality (that I was talking about) is not there. Love may develop later, but that love may be like Jai and Bani in the beginning. Remember when they were talking about missing each other's presence and they didn't know if it was love or not? Well, I could write a book about this topic but I don't want to bore anyone. Hope what I said made sense.

About the topic above...neither of you are married yet and you'll see once you are. I used to be just like you and have all these ideas and now many of them don't hold true. I think each marriage is different and therefore everybody's haalat are different too. Sometimes it's better for the kid if the parents aren't together. Sometimes it's better if the parents stay together, but it always depends.

Even raising children is not what you think it is (unless you get an angel of a child). I used to see parents at restaurants or in the store with their little brats. I used to be like you just have to train the kid better or just give him a good slap and he'll be fine. OH MY GOD! Was I wrong. Zain is our big boss. He has us wrapped around his little finger. Today I said to him, Ok boss. And he said, boss kya hotta he? So I told him, tum mere big boss ho. So he said mein big boss hu all day long ! LOL. Anyway, enuf of my jibber jabber. Later!

Good to see you back and well we are both in the same boat. Naaz asked me to start watching again before she left on holiday and well I have no clue what's going on... Jigs has changed, Rohit has changed, no idea what happened to Ranveers hair... it's like every character got uglier! And this Pia ke bachee, if looks could kill she would be scorched... and thats just the tip of the ice berg.

I'm backtracking the written section and plan to later watch if the episode was good to see what I missed though honestly I still can't stomach the ONS so I might have to go like two months back or something.. can't even belive its been that long ago.

Either way it's good to see the old KS gang back online again from when everything was intersesting so basically before the PR Raaz came out... Jeez things were going so well in the show and then it just went into a down world spiral.

I know its a drama but would people really stop watching if the show had little tensions but people were happy, regardless its a drama... I mean seriously.... are you kidding me?

I'm so happy to see that you guys are thinking about me! I can't go back and read what Priya asked, but I will go back and see in a few days when I have more times. I'm sad to say that I'm not enjoying my trip at all yet. You all must have heard or read about the Dallit controversy and riotinng. In Aurangabad, there has been curfew and it's been super hot (Even though it's december). Zain and I have had a bad time so far and my hubby's really frustrated with us. Today, however, it's been a lot of fun. I decided to take claritin and I had an allergy free day. One of Javed's cousin's came and we played dumb charades and it was too much fun. Hey everyone! I'm back in the US and I couldn't be happier! It was a looooong month which ironically flew by. (Oxymoron, I know...but still...). Zain is naughtier than ever and uncontrollable now. I'll have to retrain him on sitting in the car seat and sleeping in his crib. He says "Bhai saab, riksha kahan he...and arre nahin yaar" as part of his new vocabulary. It's cute. My laptop won't go online and it's such a drag to come downstairs to the basement to use this dinosaur of a computer, but here I am anyway!

Blossom: I think a contest would be a great idea. Priya and I will definitely participate and I'm sure Anita will too. I know from the Tasveer Hamari section that I created that not many people (besides us three) participate in that. It's sad..but I guess people have other things to do with their time.

Priya: India had it's positives and negatives. Meeting my hubby's family for the first time was great. Everyone was really nice and I didn't have any problems. There were over 20 ppl in a small house and that was really uncomfortable. Zain wasn't adjusting very well to the lack of privacy and quiet time. He kept hitting the other kids and was just really bratty the whole time. It was stressful. Since there were so many ppl there we couldn't go see a movie or go out to dinner. Everytime we went to some picnic, everyone came with us and took forever to get ready. We spent only a half an hour at the Ajanta caves because it closes at 6. It took us two hours to get there and two hours to get back. Felt like such a waste of time. I had about one and half days in Bombay and that was awesome. It was just the three of us. We saw celebrity houses and went to some beaches the first day. The next day I just shopped, shopped, shopped! I got some great kurtis. Everything is more expensive there now and not as afordable as it used to be about 9 years ago (the last time I went). So, I'm just reeeeeeally really happy to be home.

You need a photo editing sofware to make a customized siggi such as adobe photoshop or paint shop pro after u make the siggi u need to go to an image hosting site to upload the image and get the image url. the url priya gave is of an image hosting site photobucket and its the best for non animated siggis.

or u could ask someone to make it for u there are lots of avatars and signature shops

Hmm....so your from baroda...i have a cousin who goes to a boarding school in baroda. I prefer gujrat because thats where my family lives and yeah it fun there to me....:D I was born here...here as in meaning america. lol:D

Yeah, gujrat... Well its true most NRI like bombay but I like gujrat because my whole family, i mean my cousins and aunts live there. I mean there are good shopping places in Gujrat too. I really liked where i went shopping last month in India because there are more places now...So i really like Gujrat....now thats my point of view...

yeah...in gujrat you could get jeans at the price of 600-700 rupees but whos know how expensive they could be in bombay. plus i dont like gujrat becuse its cheap but they have good quality and good stuff too. like when i went to india in december, i bought everything from gujrat, we were going to go to surat but we found good stuff in navsari there..

yeah, i just recently went to a wedding in india when i went there in december, i did all my shopping from navsari and my choli suit was really pretty. Also the people from the beauty parlor did really good make-up for me......... it was pretty cool.:D

We'd go for two months in the heat of June and July. There would be absolutely nothing to do. The theaters had bats and rats and I just longed to come back to the US. But this time, when I was in Aurangabad (my sasural) and the shopping really sucked, I really wished I was in Navsari or Ahmedabad or even Surat or Baroda. The shopping and the prices are definitely better! I think, though, that even though things are more expensive in Bombay, the choices were amazing. If you're able to spend (double) then you can get a lot of nice things. I went to Eli Peri and Amarsons in b'bay. Eli Peri had my size and noone looked at me funny or made any rude remarks about me being bigger than the average Indian woman. And Amarsons had every earring and every bangle combo imaginable. I spent a lot of money that day!

I would agree that Bombay has much, much, much more to do than any of the gujarati cities, but then, I haven't been to Gujarat for 9 years, so I really don't know. In bombay we ate at a place that serves more than 100 types of parathas and the next day we at a place called Sheetal. The food was amazing. We could've gone to Film City to see a shooting if we wanted (but I opted to shop since we only had two days). We went to Juhu and saw Shahrukh Khan's bangla and Salman Khan's pathetic apartment bldng. I guess it's nice on the inside. LOL.

Anyway, KJ...I used to live in IL. Maybe our families know each other. :eek: THAT would be a big coincidence! Ok, time to go. Aujo!

That's defn me though I am currently banned from shopping by my Mom, so it's like 23 days and counting... sad I know this but oh well I do. I think this ban might be released this weekend, I'm so excited!!! It did open my eyes though when I got a bill for only $68 bucks rather than in the multiple hundreds like it had been the last 3 months. In my defense there was my rents 25th and xmas.

I must say in reference to India there is no better place to shop than DELHI, so I'm a little biased but who isn't right?

Hi! ok i am sooooooooooooooo happy k there was this entrance exam and all my frnds including me passed. i might not need to complete class 7 i can sit at home for like 4mths but i wont do that cuz i dont want to be known as the girl who didnt complete the 7th grade. anywayz good job naaz keep it up! i wont be able to come here even after i got admission T_T miss u guys a lot.
