Khatta Masoor Pasand

INGREDIENTS
Masoor (Lentils) 2 cups
Water 3½ cups
oil 1 tbsp
Jira(Cumin seeds) ½ tsp
Peyaj(Onion) 1 finely chopped
Tomato Small Chopped
Tomato Puree 2 ½tbsp
Tomato Sauce ½tsp
Jira Powder (Cumin Powder)1 tbsp
Dhania Powder(Coriander Powder)1 tbsp
Ginger Paste 1 tsp
Haldi Powder(Turmeric Powder)1 tbsp
Chana Masla 1½ tbsp
GreenChilli/Pepper finely grated/ coarsely ground
Vinegar/Lemon juice ½ tsp
Coriander Leaves finely chopped
Salt To taste




PROCEDURE:-

Wash the masoor dal and boil it in 3½ cups of water.

Just see that the the lentils are not boiled very much.

Heat the oil in a pan.

Roast cumin seeds until red

Add the sliced onions and fry until golden brown.

Then put the cumin powder, coriander powder, ginger paste turmeric powder, chana masala, tomato puree,sliced tomatoes and sauté it.

Then put the dal, mixing them properly.

Put the tomato sauce, pepper powder(chilli),vinegar and churn it once and allow it to simmer for 5-10 minutes….

Put the finely chopped Coriander Leaves for decoration.

Serve hot.
